´Forward!´ They Cried

Benito Mussolini is one of history´s most reviled men. He was also a socialist. Mussolini began as a socialist;. Alessandro Mussolini, his father, preached a revolutionary socialism of Italian nationalism, anarchism, socialism, and communism. Alessandro had a great influence on Benito, and shaped his early political views. But in later years Benito determined that socialism was a failure because it did not recognize nationalism and natural inferiority. These revelations led to his expulsion from the socialist party and his rebirth as a fascist. In an effort to evade military service, Mussolini fled to Switzerland in 1902,

Hitler was such a monster, such a toll of utter evil that the other monster in Europe has been all but forgotten.

Mussolini was indeed a monster. His fascist party embraced violence for violence´s sake. They openly intimidated their political enemies, raised their own army of bloodthirsty thugs and through political chicanery managed to make the press and the legitamate law enforcement organizations turn a blind eye.

They took over Italy in a long drawn out bloody campaign of terror. Mussolini could honestly be viewed as the father of modern terrorism. He believed in the usefullness of unrestrained terror attacks against his own people as a tool for centralization of power.

He never let a crisis go to waste. When events would not provide a crisis, his terrorist would. Brownshirts killing political opponents? Give Musollini the power to raise a civilian armed force to patro the country and lock up political enemies. Terrorists burning graineries, food shortages? Give Musollini the power to confiscate food from profitable farmers and distribute it as he sees fit.

Sound familiar? Musollini used every crisis to increase his power. In the end after hanging his own son in law, he ended up on the end of a rope himself.

Same manure, different flies. Grandiose, immature, ignorant demagogues rousing the rabble and manipulating the gullible, demonizing and silencing dissent, claiming the highest but acting from the basest and most malicious motives.

A healthy host society possesses a functioning immune system to ward off opportunistic invasion by ever-present demagogues. When the host becomes sick and weakened, the demagogues arise and flourish, corrupting the entire body politic. A free, vigilant and loyal press is one of the first lines of defense against such invaders - but we have witnessed the destruction of this safeguard and its conversion into an agent of the attacker. It is reminiscent of the way the AIDS virus attacks the human host´s defenses and uses them to replicate itself.

Not that Warren Beatty, this one is a thinking American:

Dr. Beatty earned a Ph.D. in quantitative management and statistics from Florida State University. He was a (very conservative) professor of quantitative management specializing in using statistics to assist/support decision-making. He has been a consultant to many small businesses and is now retired. Dr. Beatty is a veteran who served in the U.S. Army for 22 years.

This is how Alinsky´s methodology works. First the "community organizer" works to make the people unhappy with and untrusting of their institutions - governmental, religious, educational, financial - and then they insidiously work to implant their scheme for how things could be better. Leading the way but making the people feel (there´s that word again) that all of this change, this revolution, is their idea.

Van Johnson´s "top down, bottom up" plan so eloquently described by Glenn Beck. Also known as Astroturf - a constructed bogus grassroots movement.

First people have to be convinced that the original institution - their country, their constitution - had it all wrong. And only the "community organizer" knows the truth and the way to go.

I have been saying since the first year of King Putt´s reign, that we were descending into fascism. He seems to be surrounded by thugs and criminals....same as Mussolini. I wonder how many Republicans are being blackmailed and/or threatened. While I´m angry with Robert´s Obamacare decision, I keep looking at his prior decisions and wonder why he would do a 360 for a ruling that would ultimately destroy healthcare and our republic. I think he was threatened....probably his children were threatened if he didn´t make the decision that King Putt wanted.

Democrats are picking up where they left off in 2013, lying to the public about Obamacare. The president says his signature program has signed up more than nine million Americans so far through the state exchanges and Medicaid expansion. He´s made this claim on numerous occasions, including last month´s State of the Union address, and during his Super Bowl Sunday conversation with Bill O´Reilly. We´ve noted that the president´s math doesn´t add up; his exchange enrollment figures don´t factor in a substantial subset of non-payments, which experts estimate to be in the vicinity of 600,000. President Barack Obama’s Treasury Department issued a new regulation today that for the second time directly violates the plain and unambiguous text of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act by allowing some businesses to avoid the law’s Dec. 31, 2013 deadline to provide health insurance coverage to their employees. Initially, on July 2, 2013, the administration unilaterally delayed the deadline for the employer mandate until 2015. Now, the administration is unilaterally delaying it for some businesses until 2016. HOUSTON— It was care fit for a king: The yellowing parchment was fitted inside a custom-designed aluminum and steel case with monitors, then wrapped in specially made packaging. Once it was on the plane, a canon chancellor nervously tracked the flight as it crossed the Atlantic Ocean. That document, a rarely seen copy of the Magna Carta, had never before left England´s shores and only once been outside its home in the Hereford Chapel near the Welsh border. Now, the famous charter, written nearly 800 years ago and considered one of the most important documents in the history of democracy,

SAN ANTONIO — We recommend incumbent John Cornyn for the GOP´s U.S. Senate nomination, based on unmatched experience and decades of service to Texas. The theme among a bevy of challengers seems to be that Cornyn is a CINO, a conservative in name only. This is not just counter-intuitive but counter-factual. Various ratings — liberal and conservative — have agreed on one thing, Cornyn´s conservative credentials are genuine. Not conservative?
