Well, the logic here is off - the motives aren´t the same - Obama just needed an excuse to let them out, never to be found again, so they are free to live here and they will be brought along in the amnesty deal that is made.

IRS Targeting and 2014

President Obama and Democrats have been at great pains to insist they knew nothing about IRS targeting of conservative 501(c)(4) nonprofits before the 2012 election. They´ve been at even greater pains this week to ensure that the same conservative groups are silenced in the 2014 midterms. That´s the big, dirty secret of the omnibus negotiations. As one of the only bills destined to pass this year, the omnibus was—behind the scenes—a flurry of horse trading. One of the biggest fights was over GOP efforts to include language to stop the IRS from instituting a new round of 501(c)(4) targeting. The

Immigration: Major businesses are calling for immigration reform this year, one that would include a massive amnesty for those here illegally. It might be good for their bottom lines, but it´s bad for America´s. The Business Roundtable, a group of 208 major U.S. companies, has come up with its priority list for 2014. Not surprisingly, that list includes immigration reform. Sounds innocent. But to the Roundtable, immigration "reform" includes "a path forward for undocumented workers already living in the United States." In other words, amnesty for those here illegally. We´re glad they think it would be good for them. But for the rest

Power: As evidence discredits global warming, resistance to such facts by green elites reveals their real aim is bringing socialism in through the back door. But don´t take our word for it. Listen to the climate change boss at the U.N. Christiana Figueres, with the lumpy title of executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), came right out and said it: Democracy is a poor political system for fighting global warming. The really good model is communist China. China is "doing it right," she told Bloomberg News Tuesday. "They actually want to breathe air they don´t have

Should America´s new growing dependence on natural gas for electricity production be a cause for concern? Despite America´s abundance of natural gas from shale production, some parts of the country have already had warnings that over-dependence on gas for electricity generation exposes consumers to soaring prices for electricity. The problem is the declining use of coal and nuclear power, the two sources of electricity that provide the greatest price stability and serve as a hedge against wide fluctuations in gas prices. For the power industry to become increasingly dependent on a fuel with a history of price volatility could be problematic. Take PJM, the

Foreign Policy: The latest U.S. ally to openly sneer at us is a senior British defense adviser who says President Obama has "devalued the deterrent effect of American military capability" in the world. In his first campaign for president, in April 2007, Barack Obama complained George W. Bush´s war in Iraq cost the U.S. "in influence and respect." Because of Iraq, he said, "many around the world are disappointed with our actions, and many in our own country have come to doubt either our wisdom or our capacity to shape events beyond our borders. Amy Nicholson, the head film critic over at L.A. Weekly, recently characterized the new war movie, Lone Survivor, as a “jingoistic snuff film” whose protagonists are possessed of the “simple” and “hairy-chested” conviction that “brown people bad, American people good.” In acting upon this belief, she set off something of a firestorm. Were this a rogue view, it would be well worth ignoring. Unfortunately, it is not, for, among a certain sneering subset, the conceit that the actions and decisions of the American military are informed by racial animus enjoys genuine currency. Shocking images depicting U.S. soldiers burning the bodies of what appear to be Iraqi insurgents, have emerged today. The explosive photographs, reportedly taken in Fallujah in 2004, have already sparked a Marine Corps investigation, but many of the 41 gag-inducing shots are just too grisly to publish. Two pictures show a Marine pouring what looks like gasoline on the remains of enemy soldiers and another two images appear to show the remains go up in flames. Two more capture the horrifically charred bodies. The sick snaps were exclusively obtained by TMZ, who turned them over to the Pentagon last week, triggering the
