| Two lawmakers in Massachusetts are fighting to reverse a 2009 legislative initiative mandating body mass index (BMI) screenings in public schools in order to end the practice of "fat letters" being sent to the homes of overweight or obese children. The BMI notification letters, which are sent to all families with children in the Massachusetts public school system, note that the measurement on the page "may not tell the whole story about your child´s weight," as BMI "cannot tell the difference between muscle and fat." New York City is not the only place controlled by the "health" fascists. Thank God my children are no longer in school. I was lucky that back when they attended school here, they got a decent education. Today the children of Massachusetts get only indoctrination and bad examples.

I never attended public schools.
After reading the kinds of things that go on in public schols, I´m amazed that people continue to send their children to these schools.

This from a state that claims it can´t fix potholes or pay teachers unless they raise the income tax another 14% and yes #4 they are already talking about instituting a BMI surcharge on your insurance bills in RomneyCare.

A country that stakes its future on lies will not have one. The fashionable lie of the moment is “gay marriage.” The push to deprive children of mothers and fathers for the sake of “genderless” marriage has never been stronger. The media propaganda about its “inevitability” is unremitting. One would think, judging by all the triumphant rhetoric heard this week, that over 30 states had approved it. In fact, over 30 states have banned it. According to the Washington Post, which just a few weeks ago was categorizing Christians as racists, the issue is all settled and done.

It was bad enough for the Obama administration to earn an overall grade of C-minus on its level of transparency from the independent watchdog group Cause of Action. When coupled with evidence of what is being hidden, the information makes the administration look even worse. The weasels who wrote the Obama health law postponed the pain until after the 2012 presidential election. This may sound odd coming from someone who has spent his life working in political reporting, but I find it extremely sad when people can’t separate politics from the rest of their lives. I’m not talking about people getting worked up about politicians; we live in divided times, so things are bound to get heated when talking about elected officials. I’m talking about people who say “I want nothing to do with [Person X] because he is a conservative/liberal/Republican/Democrat in his personal life.” This is why I find the Orson Scott Card thing so frustrating.

Last week, President Obama told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that “we don’t have an immediate crisis in terms of debt.” It was par for the course (after all, he is almost always golfing) for the nation’s chief executive who just last year did not know the amount of our nation’s debt and made the preposterously naive statement that “a lot of it we owe to ourselves.” Apparently, our coming debt crisis is the only one Democrats do want to go to waste.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
