Equating Christians With Racists
American Spectator, by George Neumayr

Original Article

Last Sunday, the Washington Post’s ombudsman casually revealed that the official policy of reporters at the paper is to treat opponents of gay marriage as the moral equivalent of racists. Addressing the complaint that the paper is a propaganda sheet for gay activists, ombudsman Patrick Pexton disclosed an e-mail exchange between a reader and a Post reporter. The reader had asked the reporter why the paper covers the gay marriage debate so one-sidedly. “The reason that legitimate media outlets routinely cover gays is because it is the civil rights issue of our time.

Yeah, that sounds racist to me.

Gays have the same rights as you and I--the "right" to enter into marriage with a person of the opposite gender.
What gay activists want (and as supported by the LeftMedia in a wholly biased way) is a special "right"--to marry whoever they want, irrespective of gender.
There is no real necessity for this, as civil unions and domestic partnerships today provide almost equivalent benefits and rights as civil marriage. And what small gaps remain can readily be corrected by legislation.
But, NO, it HAS TO BE GAY MARRIAGE. Anything else is unacceptable to them, because it makes them "2ND class citizens."
Rubbish. This is all about forcing the 95% heterosexual population to accept and embrace homosexuality as a normal, accepted lifestyle. And in so doing, destroy marriage.
Already there are activists clamoring for open marriages with multiple partners, marriages with animals, and legalized bigamy.
This is a reversion of 3000 years of human development and back to barbarism.

Why shouldn´t gays be allowed to marry and be as miserable as the rest of us? Seems fair to me.

Thank you, #1, yes, and not sexist either, although libertards are always ready to denounce Christianity for having restrictions on female clerics. Liberal sects of Christianity, many of whom don´t even adhere to Biblical Salvation as, "Faith alone in Christ alone," are all too willing to blasphemously anoint lesbians as "Priests" just to appease their liberal master, Satan. Judeo-Christianity is the only "religion" to give women equal rights under the law.

By their standards and beliefs the WaPo reporters are correct in their thinking. They do not have the same worldview as most devout Christians. If they did, they would not be WaPo reporters.

The whole world is becoming more divided into two paths. One path leads to life and the other glorifies death. The homosexual path has led to death all through history.

America today is the new Rome. And just as the early Christians were persecuted under the Roman Caesars, so we will likely face persecution here too both by the government and many people. But as the Lord said: "...the one who endures to the end will be saved."

Only a person raised with no religion would think Christians are the same as racists.
I have left the fold but have no animosity toward that religion. Jesus (Joshua) taught the best way for human beings to live with each other. There is no doubt of that and anybody who thinks otherwise is ignorant of His teachings.

Reply 10 - Posted by: Momma Walton, 2/27/2013 11:27:07 AM     (No. 9198987)

Those who today criticize Christians are going to miss us when we are gone and they can rule this world with Satanic power instead of God´s true Love/Grace.

Those who are real Christians love everyone. It is the actions that are ungodly as stated in the Bible, God´s Holy Word. We do not condemn, but challenge them to know God and let Him reveal Himself, thus establishing His Word within, becoming His child in this world.

All sin is denying God His place in your life, obeying Him because He created us, loves us, wants us to be be with Him forever in His Heaven!

Satan is still active in the mind/heart/soul/spirit of those unwilling to obey God.

We need to appreciate each other but also there is good and evil, right and wrong.

We love our children, but we do discipline them when their actions are not acceptable for they selfishly seek their own way or even just to make themselves known as independent, yet want the privileges of being in a family.

We need to pray for America! God has blessed up beyond our dreams and now we disavow any relationship because sadly, we think we know better than He does.

Heaven will not be a democracy. Jesus will be crowned King and Lord.

As was once stated: This is the only hell Christians will ever know and this is also the only Heaven unbelievers will ever see!

Something to think about.

In today´s America, being called a Christian is worse than being called a racist. Christians are not just racist, they are everything that is evil, according to most on the Left and many Moderates as well. As Dr Lucado says "God is good. I need help. They need help. Thanks". 10 word prayer that sums up the Bible.

...and in so doing, provides yet more evidence that the equation of Leftists with bigots is generally correct, and the only point left to debate is the magnitude of exponentiation.

If America were a bus, Deneen Borelli would be the new Rosa Parks. Borelli is the very model of a human being, an African American and a woman who is just plain tired up to here at all of the back of the bus treatment dished by liberals — black and white alike — to conservatives who happen to be black. Ms. Borelli has in a figurative sense, as Rosa Parks did in the original and literal sense, sat down in a seat reserved for liberals at the front of the American bus. She won’t get up, she isn’t moving

The impending policies of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will affect individual farmers and their employees. There are an estimated 600,000 crop workers and roughly 20,000 livestock workers in California at a given time. For every job in farming, the industry creates two to three nonfarming jobs. It´s an industry that should thrive in California, where the climate is kind.(Snip)"There´s nothing affordable about the Affordable Care Act," Tom Nassif said to us; he´s president and CEO of Western Growers, an advocacy group representing area and regional family farmers in Arizona and California.

A country that stakes its future on lies will not have one. The fashionable lie of the moment is “gay marriage.” The push to deprive children of mothers and fathers for the sake of “genderless” marriage has never been stronger. The media propaganda about its “inevitability” is unremitting. One would think, judging by all the triumphant rhetoric heard this week, that over 30 states had approved it. In fact, over 30 states have banned it. According to the Washington Post, which just a few weeks ago was categorizing Christians as racists, the issue is all settled and done.

It was bad enough for the Obama administration to earn an overall grade of C-minus on its level of transparency from the independent watchdog group Cause of Action. When coupled with evidence of what is being hidden, the information makes the administration look even worse. Cause of Action uses requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), lawsuits, and other tools to expose what it calls “job-killing federal government regulations, waste, fraud, and cronyism.” As has been reported by Caroline May at the Daily Caller and others, the organization last week issued a report called “Grading the Government,”

The weasels who wrote the Obama health law postponed the pain until after the 2012 presidential election. Popular provisions were put into effect immediately, such as allowing children to stay on their parent’s plan until age 26, offering “free” colonoscopies and mammograms (in truth, forcing you to pay for them in your premium, whether you get them or not), and giving women the thrill of getting contraceptives at the drugstore without paying anything. The White House also granted 1,472 waivers to certain companies and unions exempting them from insurance reforms

This may sound odd coming from someone who has spent his life working in political reporting, but I find it extremely sad when people can’t separate politics from the rest of their lives. I’m not talking about people getting worked up about politicians; we live in divided times, so things are bound to get heated when talking about elected officials. I’m talking about people who say “I want nothing to do with [Person X] because he is a conservative/liberal/Republican/Democrat in his personal life.” This is why I find the Orson Scott Card thing so frustrating.

Last week, President Obama told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that “we don’t have an immediate crisis in terms of debt.” It was par for the course (after all, he is almost always golfing) for the nation’s chief executive who just last year did not know the amount of our nation’s debt and made the preposterously naive statement that “a lot of it we owe to ourselves.” Apparently, our coming debt crisis is the only one Democrats do want to go to waste.

If President Obama’s rhetoric on domestic policy can be said to have a coherent theme, it involves his desire to use government to create a level playing field in which no single segment of the electorate enjoys unfair advantages or suffers disproportionate disadvantages in the pursuit of happiness. He is particularly concerned, he tells us, that the “rich” pay their fair share while poor and minority Americans receive their just due. Somehow, though, every policy decision made by his administration seems to tilt the playing field against the latter.

Staffers for Sen. Dean Heller have been bullying other senators’ aides to protect the Nevada Republican’s space in the Russell Senate Office Building, CQ Roll Call has learned. As part of the biennial Senate office lottery, junior members are obligated to show their office suites to more senior members, who then have 24 hours to decide whether to claim that space as their own. Heller’s office suite — which he inherited after the scandal-fueled resignation of Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev. — may be particularly attractive to other senators because its floor plan includes a larger-than-average member office.

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
