| Sequestration: The president is trying to sow panic over a 2.4% trim in federal spending. But countless Americans have had to cut more from their budgets. Well may they wonder: Why can´t Washington? To hear President Obama tell it, the sky will fall this week and it all will be the Republicans´ fault. He´s on the road trying to scare up outrage over the $85 billion in automatic cuts to federal spending that kick in, barring action from Congress, this Friday. So where is the panic? Despite the administration´s best efforts to produce it, we see none.

Only in the U.S. History books that won´t be read in U.S. schools.
Save your breath.
Obama ain´t headin´ for nothin´ except expensive vacations and God-status among the brain-dead Hollywood left.
And there´s probably at least a few of them living next door.
It´s getting close to revolution time folks. Nobody´s listening to the truth.

Fiscal cliff scare came and went with no effect. The tax increase for the wealthy that Obama got was spent in one day toward Sandy Relief with zero dollars going to pay the national debt as Obama promised. Now, he is trying to scare us again with doom and gloom if sequestration happens. Being a civilian working for the government, we are getting ready to be furloughed for a maximum of 22 days for the next six months as part of our share of the 85 billion dollars cut. I am preparing my family to tightened the belt a bit so we can weather the 20 percent pay cut. Call Obama´s bluff, I know I am.

Obama has proven his career choice is that of a community organizer. The Presidency has just given him a bigger platform. He goes out and agitates to his peeps because he doesn´t want compromise. He wants victory and means to get it in any way possible. We have never had a President so openly hostile to the opposing party and its supporters. His only goal is to win and winning means to him the weakening of this country to the point we will be vulnerable fiscally and militarily. He is on a mission and he will not fail.

Obama´s "game plan" here has been previously explained to us, in two short sentences, by his former White House Chief of Staff and the best known graduate of Madame Hubata´s Evanston School of Ballet, Rahm Emanuel..."You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it´s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."

The Marxists always threaten the most critical of government services will be eliminated (policemen, teachersn etc) while the least critical and bloated services will go untouched (subsidizing art, funding Brazilian alt energy, etc).
Watch how they say this when they preach to us in the next days.

#9, they also threaten the services that impact the public most directly, like closing National Parks. But you´re right - never a cut in the bloated interior of government where it would never be missed by the public and might even improve things. Like how about cutting diversity training seminars and team-building junkets altogether? How many ridiculous "studies" do we fund? We could save a boatload by keeping presidential and FLOTUS vacays to twice a year. Just about anyone could find 87B they would love to pull the plug on.

We are the only ones paying attention to this, or even know the truth. Our complicit, lousy media has done a good job of only showing this man and his wife in pop culture terms. 6, I think you mean community agitator.
Agitating has been his function ever since (and before) he assumed office. Divide and conquer -- the time-tested recipe used by tyrants. All we need do is read the history of Nazi Germany. And now we have added into the mix a Hispanic population with a literacy rate of 20%. And they vote! And 48% of the population getting government assistance. And he wants to let down the border barriers...why not if it means more ignorant voters for the successors who will carry out the rest of his plan.

The people who are first going to get screwed across the board by all this are federal workers who are being told that they must essentially take a 20% pay cut over the next six months.
No doubt the federal work force is probably about 50% too big, but it has to be like that for the government to get any work done at all, because about 50% of that work force is made up of people who do little or no meaningful work, with the other 50% doing just about all the meaningful work and pulling all the slack.
It has to be like that, because in political Washington, DC the 50% or so of the federal workforce that is useless is generally made up of political favorites, either individually, or in politically favored groups and they are not going anyplace.
With human nature being what it is, once the entire federal workforce has their pay reduced, the Obama crew will be lucky if they get any bureaucratic work done at all in the near future.

Obama has some discretion over what gets cut. The Republicans need to hammer this home. Why? Because just like all political dramatists, Obama is going to make cuts to things that hurt the most -- see the release of thousands of illegal immigrants.
It´s also known as extortion.
The GOP can use the fact that he´s making the decisions as to "who", "what", and "where", but they won´t. They simply don´t have the courage to find a soap box and use it.

The fight is on for the message.
1. Sequester was Obama´s idea. 2. Obama picks and chooses what to cut. 3. Obama´s salary will not be affected.

SEOUL -- South Korea´s Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae said Monday there are signs that North Korea may be preparing for another nuclear test. In a meeting with lawmakers, the policymaker said that Seoul is aware of indications that another test is being planned, but he failed to go into details. The remarks came after a lawmaker citing unspecified reports said that there has been an increase in the movements of vehicles and personnel near the Punggye-ri test complex in North Hamgyong Province.

Today, Kim Jang-soo, South Korea’s new national security director, said North Korea may fire off a missile as soon as Wednesday. The launch will undoubtedly be a test of an intermediate-range missile, not an attack. North Korea last week moved two missiles, which were subsequently loaded onto mobile launchers, to its east coast. Many expect the missiles, which have been subsequently moved to hidden locations, will be fired in trajectories arcing over Japan. The Pentagon is not at the moment especially concerned about Pyongyang’s longest-range missile, the Taepodong-2, a variant of the successfully tested Unha-3 rocket.

The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

South Korea is bracing for a protracted standoff with the North that could include at least one missile test-launch and a border skirmish. On Friday, North Korea attempted to heighten fears of military conflict when it told embassies in its capital, Pyongyang, that it could not guarantee the safety of their staff in the event of war. In another sign that it is determined to increase the pressure, Pyongyang extended a ban preventing South Korean officials from entering the Kaesong industrial complex – which it operates jointly with the South – for a fourth day.

Roll Call reports that Obama has now "given up" on Republicans as partners for helping him get some "governing done" in Washington DC. Of course, the Capitol Hill newspaper fails to show when it was that Obama ever consider the GOP to be his governing partner in the first place. Roll Call writer Steven T. Dennis claims that, "Obama already seems resigned to the reality" that he won´t be able to successfully initiate his massive re-tooling of America to reflect his left-wing agenda because the GOP isn´t interested in "bipartisan action."

The White House tried Sunday to win support for President Obama’s forthcoming budget, arguing the plan is a balanced approach to economic prosperity and warning Republicans about stonewalling negotiations and pushing a “rejected” Romney plan. “Right now, the approach of many Republicans, particularly the leadership in the House, is my way or the highway,” senior White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer told “Fox News Sunday.” “Their view is the only acceptable plan is to try to … essentially enact the Romney economic plan. The American people rejected that, and Republicans shouldn´t be doubling down on it.”

A fundamental principle in medicine is that if you get the diagnosis wrong, you´ll probably apply the wrong therapy. A corollary is that if the therapy isn´t working, increasing the dose may make things worse. That´s where we are with ObamaCare. There are shortcomings aplenty in the health-care field, and changes and improvements are required. But never have I seen so many good intentions leading irreversibly to hell. Personal experience is by its nature parochial. Yet when it invalidates much of what passes for wisdom, there may be value in sharing it. Here are some facts that may illuminate

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
