Chris Matthews Offers To
Help Hillary’s 2016 Campaign:
‘We’ll Get You In There’

Newsbusters, by Noel Sheppard

According to TV critic David Zurawik, MSNBC´s hiring of ex-Obama officials David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs makes the so-callend news network almost "a bona fide organ of state propaganda." Hours after this was published Monday, Hardball´s Chris Matthews offered his services to Hillary Clinton - along with those of MSNBC contributors Howard Fineman and Joan Walsh - in order to get her elected president in 2016 (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary): At the end of a lengthy discussion about Clinton´s chances in 2016 - never mind that Election Day is 44 months away!

Correct me if I´m wrong, but didn´t Matthews throw Hillary under the bus in 2008 as soon as Obama´s star rose? Didn´t he turn on her and call her "old" and "fat"?

If that is true #1, she will graciously take him on and then proceed to make his life a total hades on earth as only the Clintons can do. The Clintons never ever forget an insult. Ever. They are just masters at biding their time.

Matthews is totally disarmed by the Clintons and Obamas. If they sold life insurance policies, vacuum cleaners, or time shares, he would have 4 of each. Embarrassing.

Obama administration officials are finally letting the attorney for a Benghazi whistle-blower get a security clearance — but the clearance is at such a low level that it will probably slow the congressional probe of how the administration handled last year’s terrorist attack on the embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Victoria Toensing represents an unnamed government official who can help explain the reaction of top government officials to the jihadi attack on the U.S diplomatic site in Benghazi and killed four Americans last Sept. 11. The official may also be able to explain if officials rewrote intelligence reports

Joe Scarborough and Chuck Todd commiserated a bit on Wednesday’s Morning Joe, as they both questioned why conservatives are going after the Obama administration for Benghazi so fervently. While the situation merits investigation, both MSNBCers agreed that it’s no political “holy grail” — and won’t ensure Republican victory in 2014. Recalling a conversation with a leading Republican, Scarborough initiated the conversation as he discussed how said Republican felt the Benghazi will turn the American people against President Obama. “Are you kidding me?” was Scarborough’s reaction. “I want the investigation,” he agreed, but “I don’t understand why conservatives

Washington -Former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized the Obama administration on Tuesday for its handling of the September 11, 2012 terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, calling it ´a failure of leadership.´ Cheney said U.S. leaders should have been better prepared for violence on the anniversary of the al-Qaeda attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001. ´They should have been ready before anything ever happened,´ Cheney told MailOnline exclusively during a party in Georgetown celebrating the launch of a new book by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

South Carolinians may not love former Gov. Mark Sanford. They may still have a bad taste in their mouths after his governorship. They may even wonder whether they can entirely trust him. The question that needs to be answered for America’s sake is why this happened, said Woods. In order to answer that question, he concluded that we first need to answer who did this.

The group´s deputy commander said it is suffering "rot" within its ranks. "We are, in fact, in a crisis right now," the commander, Lt. Col. Republican lawmakers, who have spent months seeking to tie President Obama to last year’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, are increasingly focusing their probe on a new target: former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton. The GOP-led investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012, assaults that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three others now centers heavily on the State Department and whether officials there deliberately misled the public about the nature of the assault. Three State Department officials are scheduled to testify before a House committee on Wednesday about the Benghazi attack and its aftermath.

Despite months of planning, Jimmy Fallon won´t be getting a big, new $25 million studio at 30 Rock after all when he takes over The Tonight Show and moves it to New York in 2014. Insiders tell THR that NBC spent seven months working on plans that called for the combining of Studios 6B and 8G and turning them into a megastudio for Fallon as well as a showy theater for NBCUniversal to screen movies. Including a balcony, the facility would have fit an audience of 400. The project, though, recently was scrapped, says an insider,

When it first became clear that the CIA’s Benghazi talking points had been altered, many of us viewed the White House as the prime suspect. After all, it served President Obama’s political purposes to claim, at the height of a political campaign in which he was taking credit for the fall of al Qaeda, that the death of a U.S. ambassador was down to spontaneous outrage over a video, rather than pre-planned terrorism. It turns out, however, that the State Department was the prime culprit. It was State that pushed back hard against the original talking points.

Former Gov. Mark Sanford completed the trail to political redemption Tuesday with a win over Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch to reclaim his old seat in Congress. Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results. Turnout was heavier than expected, with about 32 percent of the district’s 455,702 registered voters casting ballots. Sanford, who has never lost an election, returns to the 1st District seat he held for three terms from 1995-2001. Dickey told analysts on the earnings call that his radio empire’s revenue was down $5.6 million in the first quarter of 2013 on top of a boatload of debt. Why? Parse the weasel words (“the impact of certain things”) and you’ll see that Dickey is blaming one man for the precipitous decline of right-wing talk radio’s profitability: Rush Limbaugh.
