Dismal show a gaffe-fest
New York Post, by Kyle Smith

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 2/26/2013 5:05:00 AM

Hey, Oscar: We saw your boob last night. His name is Seth MacFarlane. MacFarlane’s tone-deaf, unfunny, sexist, puerile, straight-from-the-ninth-grade-locker-room “We Saw Your Boobs” routine about nekkid actresses was lower than a cockroach’s pedicure. Charlize Theron’s pained reaction shot (which was part of the act, but fitting anyway) spoke for the world: Several of the actresses MacFarlane mocked were shown in rape scenes. Jennifer Lawrence, you weren’t the first to fall on your face last night. And the burst bathroom pipe backstage wasn’t the only thing stinking up the place.

Watching 4 hours of pampered over-priveleged actors congratulating themselves for the boring leftist crap they write, direct, act in and lose money on is not entertainment. It is punishment.

For whatever reason Rush Limbaugh decided to praise this numbskull.

Lately it seems Rush insists on doing or saying something ridiculous to get attention.

The Oscars seem to be a reflection of the downward spiral of American culture.
Thanks to the Left in general and Hollywood in particular, we all get to swirl down the cultural toilet together.
Where´s John Wayne when we need him?

Much of this seems to be lifted from Nikki Finke´s live blog of the event. Although it´s easy to understand Smith coming to the same conclusions independently.

I watched James Lipton´s live blogging on AOL. It actually was enjoyable. And he didn´t ruin it by mentioning Moochies appearance as a ´presenter´ at the end. It was the meat of the show without all the garbage. The gay men´s chorus of LA singing about boobs had to be the lowest.

It was fun to read Nikki Finke the next day. She actually criticized the producers, etc for alienating republicans with their behaviour.

This is the type of humor that Seth MacFarlane does. Why are they upset at him for doing what he does? So, who is to blame: Seth MacFarlane or the people who asked him to host the show?

Exactly #8. It was basically a live action episode of Family Guy. They knew what they were getting. I don´t always care for his humor and I don´t like Hollywood, but writing off people like Seth McFarland is dumb. In doing so, conservatives lose touch with a generation that largely gets their news from comedians. (Sad, but true.) We need more SouthPark Conservatives...

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Charlie Crist doesn’t take to bed when he gets sick. He takes three Red Bulls, two cups of coffee, a glass of Mountain Dew, Sudafed and cough drops. Then, he discards the box of Mucinex his 81-year-old father suggested he take, pushes through the back door of a Fort Myers restaurant and wraps his arms around his Democratic supporters. “I can’t help it; I have to hug,” he says afterward, when asked whether he worries about passing on his cold to voters. “Can you even imagine not hugging?” Crist certainly couldn’t imagine it back on Feb.

The Obamacare Enrollment

Obamacare´s enrollment numbers are surging—for now. After a disastrous launch, the law´s backers are breathing a sigh of relief as enrollees flock to its insurance exchanges. But the totals are built on a shaky foundation, and at some point soon, the exchange enrollment figures are going to fall, perhaps by more than 1 million people. Right now, the administration is counting the total number of people who have selected an insurance policy under the law, rather than the number of people who´ve paid for it. But at some point, likely this spring, the administration will be forced to disclose how many people are

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a “social media analytic tool” that will give the government access to “full Twitter historical data,” according to a solicitation released on Tuesday. The agency is seeking feedback for a “possible future acquisition to provide near real time social media analysis.” HHS said it wants to use the tool for “ongoing monitoring” of public health issues. HHS provides a long list of requirements, including “access to real-time social media posts,” and “access to full Twitter firehose.” The agency requires an archive that goes back at least five years of “full Twitter historical data.”

Perhaps he forgot that Bill was elected president 21 years ago promising that a vote for him would mean acquiring two presidents “for the price of one.” Mr. Romney, Hillary is actually pretty

Sarah Palin has made an endorsement in Texas. She’s backing tea party leader Katrina Pierson over Rep. Pete Sessions. In a Facebook post, Palin notes that Pierson’s “life’s story is full of hardships she has fought to overcome, which taught her firsthand the importance of self-reliance, hard work, and the blessings of liberty.” One of those hardships includes a 1997 arrest for shoplifting. As the Dallas Morning News reported on Valentine’s Day, “In 1997, five days before her 21st birthday, Katrina Pierson, then named Katrina Lanette Shaddix, was arrested on a charge of theft of greater than $50 and less than $500.” Pierson,

Silly us. Here we’ve been criticizing the Obama administration for the dismal job growth we’ve seen these past five years. Turns out, we’ve got it backward. We’ve been measuring the president by the jobs the economy has been creating during his tenure. If two top Obama officials are right, we should count it an Obama success that more Americans will decide not to work. The latest weighing in is White House economic adviser Gene Sperling. On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” he responded to a Congressional Budget Office finding that raising the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour, as the president proposes to do,

It has become such a repeated mantra in mainstream Republican circles, that it could be nearing cliché status: If the Republican Party is looking to stay politically viable in the future, it must win over Hispanic voters. But, thus far, it has become a case of easier said than done, considering Latinos have traditionally voted overwhelmingly Democrat. But the GOP need not lose hope, party insiders say — just look to Texas. A revealing Gallup poll unveiled this month found that in the Lone Star State, more Hispanics identify themselves as Republican than in the country as a whole. Nationwide, Democrats hold
