In latest insult to Britain, the Obama
administration kowtows to Kirchner
on the Falklands referendum

Telegraph [UK], by Nile Gardiner

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 2/25/2013 5:30:39 PM

With the Falklands referendum just two weeks away, the Obama administration still refuses to recognise the referendum and the right to self-determination of the Falkland Islanders. At a news conference in London today alongside Foreign Secretary William Hague, US Secretary of State John Kerry made this point very clearly in response to a question from the press.[Snip]Well, let me be very clear about our position with respect to the Falklands, which I believe is clear. First of all, I’m not going to comment, nor is the President, on a referendum that has yet to take place and hasn’t taken place.

Comments:
I´m going to be asked a lot of questions about this embarrassing statement which I believe is clearly embarrassing.

Saints preserve us!

Kerry has been hiding in Mass. for his whole bloviating career.

Now alone on the global stage everybody will see him for the buffoon he has always been.

Just look at his quote above.

Obama hates Britain more than America. Playing touchy feely with Britain´s royalty was fulfilling for the O´s egos, but he has a deep down hatred going back to his grandfather, slavery, the Mau Mau.

#1, you took the words right out of my mouth!

We (now former) MA natives have known about the intellectual vapidity of Kerry all along! By the way, this is why MA liberal/lefties re-elected him and others of his ilk: they´re as empty-headed and ridiculous as he.

An Arizona jail officer has been gunned down in front of his own home on his way to work, leading to a furious search for the man who killed him Thursday. Hours after the murder of Jorge Vargas, a 27-year-old married father of a little boy, his boss, Maricopa County Sheriff´s Joe Arpaio announced that he is issuing every deputy in his department an AR-15 assault rifle and commanding them to carry loaded guns at all times--even when off duty. Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said Vargas succumbed to his injuries Thursday about an hour after the 4am shooting.

If beleaguered Anthony Weiner fails in his bid to win New York´s upcoming mayoral election, it turns out he at least has a fallback option... as a British television presenter. But when that day finally comes, whatever you do, just don´t ask him to do the weather. In his latest cringe-worthy performance in front of the cameras, the former Congressman attempted to deflect a tough question from an English reporter in New York yesterday by answering in a bizarre fake-British accent. And if witnesses thought it couldn´t get any worse, he then tried to melt the joke´s frosty reception by

Two men have been arrested in Saudi Arabia on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks which forced the closure of several foreign embassies in the region in recent weeks. The arrests come as the U.S. sharply escalated its drone attacks on neighbouring Yemen on Thursday with 12 militants killed in three separate strikes. Saudi officials claim the two men arrested, from Yemen and Chad, were planning suicide attacks connected to recent al Qaeda threats on American and British embassies which forced their closures this week. The pair were detained in late July after they exchanged information on social media about imminent

At least nine people were killed when gunmen opened fire outside a mosque in the second attack in Quetta in south-west Pakistan in as many days. About 20 others were wounded in the attack, which came as worshippers left the Sunni Muslim mosque after sunrise prayers for the Eid al-Fitr festival. Bullets hit the car of Ali Madad Jatak, a former Pakistan People´s Party provincial minister, but he was unhurt. On Thursday dozens of people died in a suicide bomb blast in Quetta. The 30,000 inhabitants of Gibraltar are bravely standing up to a futile campaign of intimidation by Spain. As The Telegraph reported earlier this week, the Spanish government is threatening “to impose a new border tax, close its airspace to planes using the British overseas territory’s airport, and investigate the affairs of Gibraltarians with Spanish economic interests,” all in an effort to harass the people of Gibraltar, the vast majority of whom are British citizens. This follows no less than 200 unlawful incursions by Spanish state vessels in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters last year. Madrid is acting like a schoolyard bully

First responders who arrived at massive airport fire in Kenya looted electronics, a bank and an ATM, it has been claimed. Officials investigating the fire at Nairobi´s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport told the Associated Press valuables were stolen by emergency services including police, firefighters and the army. The fire broke out on the 15th anniversary of U.S. Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania that killed 224 people in total, mostly Kenyans, but also a dozen Americans. Today, international flights resumed landing and taking off from the fire-damaged airport and officials said they expected to return to full operations by

It comes amid concern about increased Islamist militant activity in neighbouring Sinai since Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi was ousted in early July. Eilat airport is a major tourist destination, bringing holidaymakers to resorts on the Red Sea.

Conservative elements of the Muslim community last year objected to foreign tourists who wear revealing clothes, as well as bars selling alcohol. How offensive is the phrase ‘bongo bongo land’, used by Godfrey Bloom, a Ukip MEP, in a private address to party activists in which he inveighed against foreign aid? [Snip] As such drums were most common in Africa, ‘bongo bongo land’ was once used as a derogatory reference to that continent. But is it very offensive? It’s hard to think so. TUCSON — Young immigrants known as the “Dream 9” were released Wednesday from federal custody in Arizona, a small step in their bid to win asylum in the United States. The immigration activists were released on parole, which allows them to return to their American communities until they get the chance to argue for asylum before an immigration judge. The nine were tranferred by bus from the Eloy Detention Center in south-central Arizona to Tucson, where their arrival was welcomed by immigrant rights activists. “You’re here!” shouted someone in the crowd. Some of the dreamers and their supporters were crying.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that Christie earns 21% support when Republican voters are asked whom they would vote for if the party’s primary in their state were held today. Florida Senator Marco Rubio runs a close second with 18% of the GOP vote, followed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 16% and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul with 15% of the vote.

Ending a war is a good thing. Killing civilians a bad thing. Deliberately targeting civilians is murder, and is never morally licit, even in pursuit of a good thing such as ending a war. The tens of thousands of Japanese non-combatants we killed 68 years ago this week with two nuclear bombs were not “collateral damage” of military strikes. They were the intended targets. We hoped that mass murder would bring the Japanese emperor to surrender. It worked, and American and Japanese soldiers’ lives were probably saved by it —

In a move some claim is tantamount to social engineering, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is imposing a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America’s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory. The policy is called, "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing." It will require HUD to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every single neighborhood and try to remedy it. HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan unveiled the federal rule at the NAACP convention in July. "Unfortunately, in too many of our hardest hit communities, no matter how hard

National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden extended his 15 minutes of fame Wednesday, as headlines tied his saga to President Barack Obama’s decision to cancel a planned summit meeting in Moscow next month with Russian President Vladimir Putin. But analysts said the talk of Snowden’s role in the cancellation obscured a more basic reality: The U.S.-Russia relationship is now so frosty that it didn’t appear the two presidents would actually accomplish enough to merit such a high-profile meeting. After four years, the much-vaunted reset in U.S.-Russian relations has devolved into a chilly standoff over issues like the Kremlin’s support for Syria
