| A federal prosecutor came in for some biting criticism today from Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Stephen Breyer for a racially charged remark made during a criminal trial. The comment by the justices came as the court declined to hear the appeal of a man who was convicted in a Texas federal court of being in on a drug conspiracy. The issue for the defendant, Bongani Charles Calhoun, was whether he knew that the people he accompanied on a road trip were about to buy illegal drugs, or whether he was merely along for the ride.

Sorry ladies, but the named minorities do have a demonstrable statistical proclivity of being more likely involved in the sale of illegal drugs than whites and the prosecutor´s comments were on point cand appropriate.
The robed PC goofs on the SCOTUS need to apologize and refrain from further embarrassing the court.

CROWN POINT | The Lake County sheriff is defending his decision last month to dismiss a physically disabled employee and hire an ex-convict. Sheriff John Buncich said James F. Piunti´s inability to hear or speak meant he couldn´t perform adequately in the department´s Bureau of Identification, where employees must constantly speak with the members of the pubic requesting police reports, criminal background checks and gun-permit applications. However, jurisprudence on this topic reveals exactly the opposite. As the head of the executive branch of the federal government, a president can issue executive orders only to employees of the federal government—and only regarding implementing federal laws or programs. A governor can likewise issue executive orders to employees of his state government regarding the laws or programs of that state.

The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
