Mitt, Ann Romney set to resurface
for Fox News interview

Washington Times [DC], by Cheryl K. Chumley

Original Article

Mitt and Ann Romney, who have maintained a very private life since November, have agreed to their first post-election interview with Fox News. They are both scheduled for a March 3 interview with “Fox News Sunday,” according to a report in The Hill. “Enjoyed today’s #FNS? Be sure to tune in next week for our exclusive interview with @MittRomney & @AnnDRomney,” Fox News just tweeted. Mr. Romney is also set to speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference in March — his first political event since his campaign ended.

Hmmm, does he still entertain thoughts that he could be president? Maybe Rove has gotten a committment from him to run again in 2016.

How lucky they are to be out of the cesspool of American politics.

How tragic for America.

As Ed Koch famously said...they rejected him so now they must suffer.

And suffer we will.

I wonder if they will ask him why he chose Stewart Stevens as his number one man during the campaign.
Mr. Stevens believes the msm are not n the tank for Obama. That kind of thinking is why we are all shell shocked from th last election.

He´s already given a talk criticizing the GOP´s hardline stance on illegal immigration. You know, the stance Romney used to beat up McCain in 2008 and Gingrich in 2012 for being soft on illegals and pro-amnesty. Maybe Mitt´ll decry negative campaigning as he did during one of the debates just before unleashing the most negative ads ever seen in a GOP primary. Perhaps a lecture on not trusting bogus internal polling and trying to coast to victory during the last three weeks of a losing campaign. Or just a few words on how to hire savvy media mavens like Stuart Stevens to run your campaign. Mitt has so much too teach us about politics, so much of it wrong.

Nothing´s up, or at least nothing that should warrant any conspiracy theories. Romney isn´t going to run again in 2016. Fox asked him and Ann to do an interview, and they agreed. CPAC asked him to speak, and he agreed. He will probably be asked to speak at other organizations in the future. No need to impute anything sinister to it.

There’s both good news and bad news for Hillary Clinton coming out of the new Siena College and C-SPAN study on first ladies. The good news: Clinton tops the list when it comes to which first lady scholars see taking the Oval Office gig as well. Experts also suggested, but much less so than Clinton, that Eleanor Roosevelt and Michelle Obama would be good presidents, too. Speaking of Obama, with her inclusion on the list, Clinton got knocked down two spots. Clinton is now sixth on the first ladies ranking, whereas Obama entered the study in fifth place.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Tuesday night said if Republicans win control of the Senate this year, he would want to be chairman of the Armed Services Committee. McCain was asked in an interview on Phoenix radio station KFYI’s “The Mike Broomhead Show” how he would envision a GOP takeover. “I would be so happy to be chairman of the Armed Services Committee,” he said. McCain said he’s qualified because he can fill a void in the world. McCain is not in line to take over the Armed Services panel. He was the ranking Republican on the committee until 2012,

In short: Trump let his guard down in the hope that the new "cool kids" would like him. And the cool kids abused his trust, because that´s why they´re cool. Raising the minimum wage to $10.10 by 2016 will help "people who just want to work hard," but it also will help those who want to "work less," White House economic adviser Gene Sperling told MSNBC´s "Morning Joe" on Wednesday. He argued that Americans support raising the minimum wage because it will lift "struggling" families out of poverty: "But they also know what it´s like to see a friend, a neighbor, where one spouse goes back to work, who would prefer maybe not to work. Maybe they´re working part-time just to supplement the family´s income. And they think, if that

He is doing nothing for them and masquerading like the queen of generosity. Most federal employees earn far above the minimum wage. They are given excessive benefits. But what good will another $2.85 per hour do for those at minimum wage? Will it buy them Lamborghinis or pay for private planes to Paris? Whom is Obama kidding? There is no equality. There´s a debate going on about Hillary Clinton´s past. If she runs for president in 2016, should Republicans reach back to the scandals of her years as First Lady? Or should they focus on more recent times, especially her tenure as Secretary of State, to build a case against her? The GOP doesn´t have to choose. Of course Clinton´s recent experiences are relevant to a presidential run. But so are her actions in the 90s, the 80s and even the 70s. It´s not ancient history; it reveals something about who Clinton was and still is. And re-examining her past is entirely consistent with practices in recent campaigns. The weirdest thing about John Kerry´s weekend speech on climate-change—other than the fact that this is the same guy who in 1997 voted to forbid the U.S. from signing the Kyoto Protocol—is that it begins by quoting something Maurice Strong said at the U.N.´s 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro: "Every bit of evidence I´ve seen persuades me that we are on a course leading to tragedy." Maurice who? Mr. Strong, a former oil executive from Canada (he was Pierre Trudeau´s pick to run state-owned Petro-Canada in the mid-1970s), was for many years the U.N.´s ultimate mandarin.
