Houston –A 21-year-old man sprang into action to protect his family Thursday night when three suspects barged into their northwest Harris County home. The young man was home with his mother and father in the 3900 block of Brook Garden when the armed men forced their way into the house around 8 p.m., according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies. (snip) After the father was down, the suspects went after the mother. That is when the son ran and got his dad’s gun. He opened fire and hit one of the suspects, who died in the back bedroom. The other two suspects

Another source indicated that the family was from Eastern Europe. I´m glad they settled in Texas. Their son will not be charged.

Hey, Joe Bidet...how are ya gonna shoot THREE intruders with one rifle? And did ya give up your guards and secret service yet? Just sayin´!

How can this moron even think to leave his little Wife-EE-Poo at home to fend off THREE intruders with a rifle! If you were a private citizen you would really do that to your wife? I´d be p´d off at you if I were her!!!

Joe´s Bi.den argued for a shot gun, I guess.

Anyway, guns saved three more lives.

It´s too bad there isn´t a count of how many lives are SAVED.

The left would say just give the burglars what they want,it´s all replaceable.Maybe the burglars needed the money to feed their families.

My regret is the kid didn´t get all 3.Should be some pretty nice savings for the penal system over the one he did get.

Those people almost certainly would´ve been murdered by those 3 desperados. A gun saved lives. I, myself, was confronted by 2 desperados at my front door at around 6am in the morning, years ago, fresh out of college. I ignorantly opened the door without finding out who was knocking. Both of them had axe handles sticking out of their back packs, and one of them demanded that I drive them up the coast. I said, "No." and understood that I was in big trouble. I was standing there barefoot with no weapon facing 2 men with weapons. One of the men was casing the room behind me, as we argued, to see if I had backup. And I did. One of the roomies in the house had heard the commotion and brought his Smith and Wesson with him. That desperado eyes opened big when he saw the revolver and both hurried away. Confrontation over. The lessons I learned are [1] Never open a door until you know who it is. [2] Always have a firearm, or weapon of choice, at the ready.

In cases like this, the surviving perps are often charged with manslaughter since a death occurred during their commission of a crime. Since this was Texas, it´s quite likely that this will occur.

The past two days have revealed the dangerous ramifications of the narrow-minded foreign policy elite in Washington, and a media establishment that has for so much of President Obama’s tenure accepted the statements of the administration as gospel. (Snip) If this is the sort of foreign policy anticipation that the establishment delivers, it’s little surprise that no one trusts America’s self-styled policy elites any more. They are too used to judging the world according to the patterns toward which they are already biased, as opposed to seeing it as it is.

President Obama has made liberal use of "executive action" throughout his presidency, and pledged to make even more use of executive action in this year´s State of the Union speech. He seems to think that because Republicans don´t want to implement his agenda, he can go around Congress. The Heritage Foundation is out with a new report on President Obama´s executive actions, titled "An Executive Unbound," finding that "abusive, unlawful, even potentially unconstitutional unilateral action has been a hallmark of the Obama Administration." They´ve also compiled a list of the top ten abusive executive actions taken by the President.

For much of his time in office, President Obama has been accused by a mix of conservative hawks and liberal interventionists of overseeing a dangerous retreat from the world at a time when American influence is needed most. The once-hopeful Arab Spring has staggered into civil war and military coup. China is stepping up territorial claims in the waters off East Asia. Longtime allies in Europe and in the Persian Gulf are worried by the inconsistency of a president who came to office promising the end of the United States’ post-Sept. 11 wars. America´s ruling class has been experiencing more pushback than usual lately. It just might be a harbinger of things to come. Specially equipped police cars even track cars parked on the street or even in driveways. The DHS put out a bid request for a system that would have gone national, letting the federal government track millions of
