Raul Castro expected to be
named Cuba president again

Havana - Cuba´s parliament reconvened Sunday with new membership and was expected to name Raul Castro to a new five-year-term as president. All were watching whether younger politicians might be tapped for other top leadership posts, providing hints of a possible future successor. Castro fueled speculation on Friday when he talked of his possible retirement and suggested he has plans to resign at some point. It was unclear whether the 81-year-old leader was joking, but he promised his speech Sunday would be "interesting." If a fresh face is named as one of his top deputies,

Comments:
No mention as to whether or not Hugo Chavez will be coming back to Cuba for the inauguration, or as "proof of life."

Organizing for Castro is the island´s version of Organizing for Obama. The only difference is that Obama hasn´t decided on a color for his followers´ berets. Viva Obama! President for life.

It wouldn´t surprise me if Castro made the same kinds of promises to his revolutionists as Obama is making to the lofos in this country.Cuba has thousands of government employees it doesn´t need just out of a form of loyalty.Meanwhile the bulk of the population has to depend on government food handouts which are rationed.People can be conditioned to virtually any kind of lifestyle as we´ve seen with the poverty crowd in this country.

And just like what Obama would do,is blame the country´s poverty on the embargo, even though there´s quite a few other countries that don´t abide by it.

Washington - A street prostitute in Dallas may make as little as $5 per sex act. But pimps can take in $33,000 a week in Atlanta, where the sex business brings in an estimated $290 million per year. It is not nearly as lucrative in Denver, where prostitution and other elements of an underground trade are worth about $40 million. Those are some of the findings of a landmark government-sponsored report on the size and structure of the sex economy, including massage parlors, brothels and expensive escort services. The study also found that four in five pimps elect not to deal drugs and that little money trades hands in the child pornography business.

A Manhattan trader was killed Tuesday morning by a speeding Long Island Rail Road commuter train, marking at least the seventh suicide of a financial professional this year. Edmund (Eddie) Reilly, 47, a trader at Midtown’s Vertical Group, jumped in front of an LIRR train at 6 a.m. near the Syosset train station. He was declared dead at the scene. Reilly’s identity was confirmed by Salvatore Arena, an LIRR spokesperson, who said an investigation into the incident was continuing. Washington - The White House has been withholding for five years more than 9,000 top-secret documents sought by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for its investigation into the now-defunct CIA detention and interrogation program, even though President Barack Obama hasn’t exercised a claim of executive privilege. In contrast to public assertions that it supports the committee’s work, the White House has ignored or rejected offers in multiple meetings and in letters to find ways for the committee to review the records, a McClatchy investigation has found. The significance of the materials couldn’t be learned.

Washington - Ten months after the Sept. 11 attacks, the nation’s surveillance court delivered a ruling that intelligence officials consider a milestone in the secret history of American spying and privacy law. Called the “Raw Take” order — classified docket No. 02-431 — it weakened restrictions on sharing private information about Americans, according to documents and interviews. (Snip) The Raw Take order significantly changed that system, documents show, allowing counterterrorism analysts at the N.S.A., the F.B.I. and the C.I.A. to share unfiltered personal information. Frustrated researchers have pointed out that China missed a golden opportunity to exploit the capability of its satellites in the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370. (Snip) Chi said while China had enough satellites to monitor a large area around the clock, including the search zone, monitoring every bit of land and sea would require too many people. "Chinese satellites´ real-time surveillance capability will likely be strengthened after this incident," Chi, a professor with the academy´s Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth in Beijing, told the South China Morning Post. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was hundreds of miles off course, traveling in the opposite direction from its original destination and had stopped sending identifying transponder codes before it disappeared, a senior Malaysian Air Force official told CNN Tuesday. If correct, these are ominous signs that could call into question whether someone in the cockpit might have deliberately steered the plane away from its intended destination, a former U.S. aviation investigator said. (Snip) A power failure would have turned off the main transponder and its backup, and the plane could have flown for more than an hour, he said.

You have probably seen all of the ridiculous speculating about the GOP nomination in 2016. This is still speculating, but my sincere hope is you don’t think it’s ridiculous too. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is laying the foundation for his presidential bid in concrete and steel. First, forget about Jeb Bush unless you want to hand Hillary eight years in the White House. The latest Rasmussen poll shows her leading Jeb in a general election 47 percent to 33. His name is Bush and to the general public the specifics of how smart he is doesn’t matter one iota. The law in question criminalizes the sale of magazines holding more than 10 rounds and also certain semi-automatic rifles, and mandates that all grandfathered weapons and magazines must be registered with the state.
