Pistorius ´DID beat model girlfriend
with a cricket bat´ before he shot her
police tell horrified family and relatives
have seen her extensive head injuries

Daily Mail [UK], by Barbara Jones

Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius crushed his girlfriend’s skull with a cricket bat before shooting her dead, police have told her family. Details of the post-mortem examination of South African model Reeva Steenkamp were withheld from last week’s bail application hearing. But grieving relatives who saw her body before Tuesday’s cremation in Port Elizabeth described horrific injuries from the cricket bat, and entry wounds from 9mm bullets fired by Pistorius.

OK - - so a few friendly taps with a cricket bat. That´s a sticky wicket - - but it still doesn´t disprove that he thought intruders had locked themselves in the bathroom.

That´s page 3 of the Home Invader´s Handbook - - 1. Break in; 2. Lock self in bathroom; 3. Dodge incoming bullets.

Give Oscar a break!

She was believed to have been slumped over in the little toilet room when he broke through the door with that cricket bat. He could have struck her head then.

Waiting for evidence.

Her autopsy report is has been completed. If there was evidence that she´d been bashed on the head, that prosecutor Nel would have made a big deal of it during the bail hearing. He didn´t.

The article says the prosecutor "opted" not to mention the bat at the bail hearing so as to avoid disclosing all the evidence to the defense at that time. Who would have thought the judge would let him out?

Lady Justice had 2 blindfolds on when she granted this killer bail. The victims family is devastated by this and rightly so but that doesn´t seem to have any bearing on public outrage over this brutal slaying.
Every woman I´ve ever known has someone they confide in and someone in this case has a slew of info about this relationship before the murder happened.

Despite finding PEDs in his house,I haven´t seen a single person speculate on whether he cheated in the Olympics. Apparently this guy was also an insomniac who would go to a shooting range any time of the night.

If the headline is correct, then the suspect is indeed in most serious trouble. I do not understand the timeline from the article, that is, she was beat about the head prior to being shot through the bathroom door. A person can hardly get beat like that and still go into the bathroom and lock the door.

If he shot thru the door, there should be door fragments sprayed all over the bathroom. And she should have wood fragments all over and likely imbedded in her.
If he beat her first, they would find different blood spatters.

But more importantly, HOW MANY TIMES and ways does he need to kill an intruder?
One shot. She screams. He should figure either the bad guy is a chick or he is shooting his girlfriend.
So why does he shoot her 3 more times?
If he already beat her (downstairs say--so he needs to get her there again to "explain" why there is blood there), then she runs upstairs to hide (and lock the door), then he is still a madman and shoots her thru the door (doesn´t care if she is screaming).
In any event, it sounds like vicious murder to me.
Poor girl.

I don´t know if they have fully determined he was wearing his prosthetics after he got out of bed (he stopped long enough to put them on with a supposed intruder??) but if he did not have them on, how could he carry a body down the stairs on his stumps? I think they will determine if he did or didn´t have them on by the trajectory the bullets through the door. And even if he was wearing them, wouldn´t it be difficult to carry a body down the stairs? Even for a guy with two good legs? He is a murderer, plain and simple, and she was evidently warned.

#24 -- he said he put his blades on after the shooting, that he did not have them on when he got his gun and went to confront the intruder. What I wonder is why would he confront an intruder at a disadvantage like that? His mobility is limited without his blades and his height reduced significantly. He´s been contending with his disability for years. I would think that putting his blades on would be a pretty fast and efficient process for him by now. Why wouldn´t he put them on first? That just doesn´t ring true to me.

There has been alot of misinformation released about this case. First, he supposedly had steroids, then a few days later they were only herbal supplements.

I think if she had been beaten with the bat, the prosecutor would have used it. After all, if Pistorius beat her, he would know it, and therefore, the prosecutor bringing it up could not be releasing anything the defendant doesn´t already know, right?

If he did it, he should fry but if it was indeed an accident, I hope he is not punished too severely. I will wait because all of us here should know, we cannot trust the media!

President Obama is right. He told Major Garrett of CBS this week that “Mr. Putin’s decisions aren’t just bad for Ukraine. Over the long term, they’re going to be bad for Russia.” I believe that Putin’s adventures in Russia’s “near abroad” are a mistake. Indeed, they are part of a whole tapestry of wrongheadedness. It’s also bad for the Kremlin to crush dissent, censor the news, and hobble the economy by handing it over to oligarchs and a kleptocratic bureaucracy. Putin’s scapegoating and demonizing of gays isn’t only morally wrong, it’s not in Russia’s long-term interests either. That Putin prefers to
