The Sierra Club is merely one wing of the Democratic Party. I know a man who was chairman of the local Sierra Club chapter. He resigned because they refused (with the backing of the national organization) to endorse a Republican candidate even though he was, from their perspective, on the right side of every environmental issue. They endorsed the Democratic candidate, who was on the wrong side, from their perspective, of most of the environmental issues.

These idiots are wasting their time because Obama´s not going to cave on this anyway because there´s a slight chance it´ll cause economic growth,something a Marxist opposes.It doesn´t do any good to redistribute wealth if new wealth in being created.That defeats the purpose of trying to defeat the rich,rich liberals excluded.

I really don´t know the extent the Koch brothers would derive from the pipeline but that´s just another incentive to not approve it´s construction..

Look, most Sierra Club members are regular folks who cook, drive, and heat their homes with hydrocarbon fuel sources. Like us, they just want clean air and water for themselves and their children. They however want the federal government to provide the clean air and water which makes them pretty much democrats and their leaders are among the most liberal democrats of all.

As long as we and the media are railing against this public display, we will be diverted from the real destruction to our way of life being perpetrated by this administration behind closed doors!

i think every member of the sierra club should show their support for banning the pipeline by banning all pipelines...into their homes. they should get rid of their own gaspipe lines.,sewerpipe lines, electrical lines that supply their own homes. Show the world you are against pipelines..by living that way.

The run-up to the 2014 midterms might get interesting. These commies are getting bolder now that they own the White House and most of congress. As the Tea Party fires up this coming summer and certainly in 2014, I think we´re going to have to deal with these goons if they decide to play hardball. These are the buffoons that lobbied to have grizzly bears introduced into our area. Personaly, I was in favour of trapping enough grizzly bears to allow every member of the sierra club to their very own grizzly bear in their living room. Wouldn´t it be lovely.
