Obama’s sequester deal-changer

| Misunderstanding, misstatements and all the classic contortions of partisan message management surround the sequester, the term for the $85?billion in ugly and largely irrational federal spending cuts set by law to begin Friday. What is the non-budget wonk to make of this? Who is responsible? What really happened? The finger-pointing began during the third presidential debate last fall, on Oct. 22, when President Obama blamed Congress. “The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed,” Obama said. “It is something that Congress has proposed.”

Comments: Mark Levin read this piece on his show this evening.

The media have turned the tables on Obama on this in the last couple of days. Rush mentioned it too. Assuming that they never get tired of backing up his lies, it is curious. Something is up. Payback for ignoring them last weekend?

It is unfortunate and sad that the press refuses to say LIE when they mean LIE. Only a few media folks say the President LIES when they are discussing the fact that he LIES. They will use any other less critical sounding synonym in their reporting - like FIB. A fib is what a kid does - a President LIES , when he does not tell the truth. Mr Levin tells it like it is- that Obama is a serial LIAR, a compulsive liar, a blatant liar . The facts are that in public statements he uses props to stand behind his LIES. He is lying when he says he did not support or approve of the sequester. Almost all of the media use another term, some almost endearing, like a mother telling her friends that her dear 6 year old lad tells fibs. Most of the media type, even those on Fox Cable Channel, etc- are cowards. Only a few state the facts, that President Obama is a public liar. They are all afraid of getting fired, even though they all have contracts. They are disgraceful cowards who cannot tell the truth themselves for fear of retribution. A da*n lie is a da*n lie so call it what it is, and the person telling it is a liar. These are all my opinion based on the news I see and hear. Sequestration was approved and supported by Obama, Neighbors, Lew, and Reid and those are facts learned through interviews and the public record by the media types.

Yeah, #6, but this is not as easily ignored as some things are. First, it is WOODWARD (beatified and scheduled for sainthood by the dems for bringing down Nixon), and second, it is in the Washington Post! The WAPO, of all places! The WAPO just allowed their most famous reporter ever to call the democrat president, in its own pages, a LIAR. In the words of The Donald, ´This is YUGE!

I don´t think he´s a good liar so much as a constant one. Good liars do not tell whoppers that are easily disproved. The president is lucky that he has a press willing to protect him and hide his lies for him. If they are turning on him, it could send him into a narcissistic frenzy. Something to watch. Bring popcorn.

The House has passed two separate modifications of the across the board spending in the sequester where either satisfies the required cuts but priorities and choices are made. The senate has one since last May and another since, I believe, last November. Either can be changed and sent back to the House for Conference. However, just as in the case of the Budget for almost four years, the senate has done nothing. I suggested to my Congressman that the Sunday talkers show up for the Sunday Talk shows with either one or both of these bills as props. All of the horrors that the President is spouting are, "Not in this Bill" and physically touch the Bill(s). When asked about a "Balanced Approach", advise, after slamming their hands down on the bill(s), that they have just passed a massive tax increase and that this bill is the Balance.
Additionally, the President has the power to move funds around within the Defense and non-Defense portions of the Sequester but not between them. However, that would require the President to make a decision which is something he runs away from like a scalded dog.

This came out on a Friday, when Hi-Fos are less attentive from actually doing productive work, and Lo-Fos´ meager intellectual capacities are exhausted from wondering all week what Yes We Did means.
So, it´s debatable if this is an opening salvo, a warning shot, or Woodward pi$$ing in the wind.

Obama´s aura of assumed brilliance and invincibility is dependent totally on one thing: the unlimited credit card he´s managed to extort from Congress. Once they stop upping his spending limit, it´s over.
This is a major showdown. If the Republicans play their cards right (not a given for the Stupid Party), this can be the start of the unraveling of Obama´s feigned superiority.

#12 has a point. I would love to see the House do its job and stop certain funding in a major way. This would get O´s attention and rein in the "feigned superiority."
He has no superiority at all, but only the illusion of it. He´s smelly and dull and the only one in the room that doesn´t realize it. It´s actually a mental illness.

Presidents are forced to resign or get impeached for lying to the people. Neither of these will happen to Obama but he can be told to go to his room and stay there until his term is over. He must be neutralized and blocked every step of the way until he is out.

Woodward´s piece is about fixing blame for cuts that will not happen. You´ve got to love Rush´s strategy. He says on his radio show "For the first time in my life I´m ashamed of my country" and every media flak in the country rushed to read the transcript. The hope was to catch him in another Fluke brouhaha. Instead they learned about baseline budgeting and how we will still be spending billions more than last year AFTER the sequester. The media´s attitude towards Obama´s hyperbole changed overnight. It will interesting to see what happens on the Sunday talk shows.

Obama is nothing less than a brilliant tactician with Marxist socialist philosophy. He is deftly implementing every word of Saul Alinsky´s famous tome, using a clear cups and balls magic trick method in front of a completely inept and constantly befuddled GOP. Obama is not alone in his accomplishments as he requires a majority of fidiot voters and he certainly has that (and will have forever thanks to Bill Ayers, et al) along with a Fourth Estate that thinks exactly as he thinks and believes that truth, facts and data are totally irrelevant. That Bob Woodward allowed himself to trip accidently into a firm grasp of the obvious is no good news either. Sadly, the consequences of Woodward´s piece will be exactly nothing. The GOP, donning their Depends, will still fall down, roll over and bravely soil themselves, losing another issue yet again.

This may be in the WaPo today, but a lot of people - older people - still read the Sunday paper, and it´ll likely get picked up for tomorrow´s op-eds.
As already said, Woodward carries a lot of credibility weight with older generations, who remember but don´t necessarily have the time to peruse the web. Bring in the big Sunday paper, scan the headlines, read the local stuff, and head for the opinions page.
Obviously, he didn´t realize when he wrote his book that what he put in there about this idea coming directly from Obama and Lew and the other guy I don´t want to know, was a backfire waiting to happen. I´m sure he assumed that it would be another Obama credit point.
But he has to follow up on his own work now to keep his credibility. I suspect other, younger, urinalists will now start to find him ´getting old´.

Their tiny brains have been bludgeoned by the blunt instrument that is Obama for 6+ years and they are finally waking up to that fact. Time to back up a bit and squeal "Hey, it´s not our fault! Think, people, of the damage he could still do to the country if he is allowed to complete this term. Think about it, please. Call for the courts to review the evidence of his illegitimacy. #s 15 and 16 make a good point.
If only more Republicans would break out of their meek self-restraint and speak the truth. They allow the Dem/Lefties (in cahoots with the media) to perpetrate lies and obfuscations.
So is it really a surprise that most Americans fall into the "low information voter" category? How many of these people would ever bother to read this article, for example?
For a Constitutional Republic, this state of ignorance is dangerous. DeToqueville noted the essential civic-mindedness of the new Citizens of the United States. This means that the citizenry must be involved, to the greatest extent of their ability.
Also critical was the proximity of government to the people. In other words, people were aware of the connection between their decisions/votes and government because it was local. And they had much greater control over the affairs of the community.
The Federal part of government was very circumscribed, limited.
Now, note how DC-centric government is! And note also how programs are "paid for" by The Government, an inanimate entity which grows like a malignancy.
Woodward demonstrates his skills as a writer and a journalist (a real one)... but it will take more than this to penetrate the entertainment-soaked brains of too many of our fellow citizens.
One hundred+ years of Progressives´ attempts to upend this Constitutional Republic will be difficult to undo. But to quote Churchill, we must never give up.

Even when the administration gets caught red handed in a lie it´s still the Republican´s fault. "The Republicans made me do it!"
And when a liberal catches and reports them in obvious lies they still must add the obligatory "but the Republicans are not blameless" as sort of a penitence for reporting bad news about other liberals. A liberal is never at fault alone. They´re either dead right or a Republican made them be wrong.

Even during the past four years of Obama-induced economic stagnation, old liberal dinosaurs like the Washington Post have not been able to stem the tide of diminishing readership and ad revenues.
Now that Obama´s towering debt has made it necessary for him to take some sort of action, which he has chosen to do by raising taxes, the economy is doing what it always does when money is taken out of private citizens´ hands -- going into a recession because buying power has receded.
So how is the Washington Post, which is already tottering on the edge of solvency, supposed to make it through a recession as retail companies have less and less money to spend on newspaper ads?
Maybe Bob Woodward has finally decided to tell the truth about Obama on the Washington Post´s pages, so that when this once-respected newspaper goes out of business soon, at least a few intelligent people will actually mourn its passing.

Of all the arguments public-school advocates have used to hoodwink generations of parents into condemning their own children to years of state-controlled subservience training, one of the most successful is that without public schools, children cannot be properly "socialized," and will therefore be ill-prepared for life in the "real world." The missing canines range widely in size, breed and age. "The dogs seem to vanish into thin air," said Debbie Blackwood, director of the animal shelter in Twin Falls, Idaho. President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Clinton praised her own mother for helping empower her to success and marveled at the opportunities that her own daughter Chelsea has pursued. But Clinton warned that there is still so much to do to promote women´s rights in America. "As I look at all these young women that I am privileged to work with, or know through Chelsea, and its hard to imagine turning the clock on them," Clinton said.

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

Get ready for the last straw. First, though, I´d like to suggest that anyone reading this column in a local newspaper or news site pat the editor on the back for publishing what in our neo-medieval world of fear amounts to a forbidden column. Yup, I am about to say something about the Great Barack Obama Identity/Eligibility Scandal again. I know that this is one rich and urgent topic that doesn´t see the light of day in certain so-called news outlets -- and I say that from the experience of watching my own syndicated columns

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,
