RUSH: I´m gonna play the sound bite of me from this program, the portion of the program where I threw up my hands in frustration and just said, "For the first time I´m ashamed of my country." Now, I realize that many of you tuned in today wanting to hear more of this, because you didn´t hear it at all yesterday. You weren´t here but you heard about it, so you made an appointment to join this program at the beginning. You wanted to hear what this is all about. You wanted to hear more about it,
Sorry Rush, you´re a little late to the party. Right after the fraudulent presidential election, I posted here on Lucianne parodying Chewbacca Moochelle and said that for the first time in my adult life I was ashamed of my country....several other L-Dotters also posted that sentiment.
So we are ahead of the curve, ahead of Rush Limbaugh. Think he´s MAN enough to admit that we here said that before he did?
These days, Limbaugh seems detached, lazy, content to coast along -- golfing and smoozing with his B-list celebrity friends at his palacial mansion. His show remains a golden goose, but as far as cultivating winning ideas, Limbaugh is woefully bankrupt. If you want to know what he thinks on an issue it´s best to ask his brain, Mark Levin. His show is not even fun anymore. There´s only so much you can do with bitterness and uninformed opinion.
I don´t think the troll king actually listens to Rush. I´d guess the troll is a disciple of Obama, just here to mess with our minds. Rush was speaking from a personal POV. It is not a race to see who can be first to claim they are ashamed of their country. We don´t want to be as childish as the Dems, do we?
I disagree with #3 also. I started listening to Rush 20 years ago and he is as relevant today as he was then. I don´t listen now, instead I read his website everyday. He is still informative and out front fighting for conservatism.
I have been thinking that maybe there are other countries that are better than us now that we are reenacting the Fall of the Roman Empire. If you watch video from S. Korea, it is far more wholesome than American movies and TV, and Christians and Christian imagery are mostly put in a positive light. I watched a Korean cop movie last night and the hero character, a crazy guy who makes good and gets the girl at the end, repeatedly quoting Scripture as part of his dialogue without batting an eye and anybody acting offended.
I agree with #4, I don´t always agree with Rush often times to go later back and see he was right all along. MichelleO can say the same thing Rush did and no one says a darn thing. I´m ashamed of our media but was proud of the usa til 2008 when we gave this ghetto rat with no creds a free pass to the highest office in the world.
On the bright side I´m qualified to run a nuclear power plant apparently. Who needs creds?
Dont get me wrong, I listen to Rush almost EVERY day. I just wanted to point out that many of us are on the same page with Rush, myself included, uttering almost the EXACT SAME WORDS! Thats a good thing, no? I sure think so!
As for the troll king (what a ridiculous thing to call yourself) "bitterness" ? "Uninformed opinion"? Are you describing yourself? Because that surely isnt the Rush Limbaugh I´ve been listening to since 1987! Like #5 says, just dont listen...but when you falsely criticize a man for what he says, try to get it right....what Rush has been saying lately is that the same old crap (SOSDD) is being foisted upon us by the Lefties in Government for the last 25 to 30 years and it is getting SO old...too bad the dumbasses who constitute what Rush calls the Low Information Voters(or what an L-Dotter called LoMoFo´s)are always believing the LIES they are told by Carney, Obama, Biden, Clinton, Axelrod, Schumer, Kerry, Hagel, Panetta, and a whole host of liberal lefty liars like the enemedia ass-press, the network news commie liars, academia, and the talk-show idiot liars! Get it? Good! God bless us all! And save us from the damn lefties!
#3 says "it is not a race to see who can be first to claim they are ashamed of their country" What an unabashed and unwarranted slam at poster #2 ! He was just telling it like it is, the truth, and I respect him for that! I also respect Rush Limbaugh.
As for the king of all trolls.....meh!
I´m a veteran too, #2, and I agree with you. We have got to stop being ashamed and start taking back this nation from the cretins on the left.Sometimes uninformed people call us "childish" simply because we are willing to get down and dirty and fight back. That, to me, is not childish, if we dont fight them....they win! Keep fighting back!
I´ve been ashamed since Obama got re-elected. I´m also ashamed of the GOP´s behavior of late in not standing up to him. I´ve also pretty much given up on America. The Republic is dying and will soon be dead.
Rush is slowly coming to the realization that the Republican Party that he believed in has morphed into a party led by Washington D.C. insiders whose main concern is money, not what is best for the country.
The #3´s of the world cannot tolerate anyone who may expose these frauds for what and who they are. They cannot refute the message, the evidence is overwhelming, so they are left with attacking the messengers.
Its the last bastion of the corrupted and their minions when all is about to collapse around them.
Maybe it would have been better if Rush had said, "For the first time in my life, I am ashamed FOR my country". I have never been ashamed of my country, only ashamed for it, after years of DemocRAT fraud resulted in this disgusting phony and his regime being put in office. Seeing that lying criminal walk on board Marine One to go on another long vacation makes me ashamed for my country. I am ashamed for all the unbeliveable waste, all the unbelievable fraud foisted on the good American people by these criminals and their paid whores in the mainstream media.
The presidential election ended almost nine months ago, but Mitt Romney re-emerged Tuesday to continue his fight against President Barack Obama’s policies and assert himself as a Republican Party elder at a time when the party is struggling to find its path forward. Romney sought to re-establish himself as a force within the GOP with a speech in the politically crucial state of New Hampshire, weighing in on the fractious battles to play out within the Republican Party since last November. The former Massachusetts governor most pointedly sought to tamp down a charge led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-
Dear Edward Snowden: Congratulations on finally getting out of Terminal E at Moscow´s Sheremetyevo Airport and receiving what must seem like a great gift—asylum in Russia. But before you celebrate with another round of vodka, I want to offer the cautionary tale of another American I once knew. This man also ran afoul of the U.S. intelligence apparatus and, accused of espionage, took refuge in Russia in what was then the Soviet Union. After he was no longer useful to his hosts, he died mysteriously. Edward Lee Howard was the only former CIA employee ever to seek asylum in Moscow.
The White House on Wednesday released the legal details behind its ObamaCare bailout for Members of Congress and their staffs, and if anything this rescue is worse than last week´s leaks suggested: Illegal dispensations for the ruling class, different rules for the hoi polloi. Thanks to an amendment from Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley that Democrats enacted in 2010, the Affordable Care Act says that "the only health plans that the Federal Government may make available" to Congress are the ones offered on the ObamaCare insurance exchanges. But Members and many aides have been flipping out because they won´t qualify for
Unlike any leader before him, Napoleon Bonaparte engineered his rise to power, almost out of nowhere, not only through military prowess — but also through his mastery of propaganda to stir the public. "What strikes one almost immediately is the depth to which Bonaparte understood the art of propaganda and the degree to which he was personally involved in its creation," wrote historian Wayne Hanley in "The Genesis of Napoleonic Propaganda, 1796-1799." That´s what led to Napoleon — almost a foreigner — to reach the heights of power and secure a legend for himself that lives to this day.
Foreign Policy: "Wile E. Obama, Super Genius" promised miracles, like talking Iran into abandoning nukes. Now the president backs out of talking to Russia´s Vladimir Putin, knowing all he´d get is U.S. humiliation. When Ronald Reagan spent his whole first term refraining from meeting Leonid Brezhnev, Yuri Andropov and Konstantin Chernenko, then waited over eight months after the accession of Mikhail Gorbachev before meeting with him in 1985, it was America calling its shots against a deadly, but dying, Soviet empire. Today, as President Obama cancels the scheduled early-September Moscow summit with ex-KGB officer-turned-Tsar Vladimir Putin, Moscow is calling the shots
Scandal: The omnipresent power behind the throne some have called the president´s Rasputin had the power to call off three strikes against Osama bin Laden. She may have used that power again the night four Americans died in Benghazi. The Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on our diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, came while America failed to mount a rescue mission despite sufficient time and assets. Included in that disaster were the unaccounted whereabouts of President Obama during eight critical hours, the lack of Situation Room photos, the failure by the president to follow up with subordinates before
President Obama´s much-anticipated sixth appearance Tuesday night on The Tonight Show won him praise from liberal partisans and shoulder-shrugs from conservatives, but he made two gaffes during the interview involving U.S. geography and the upcoming Olympics Games in Russia. When host Jay Leno asked the president if he was concerned about anti-homosexual laws in Russia interfering with the experience of gay and lesbian athletes, he responded by defending the honor of Americans who compete in Summer Olympic Sports. The Sochi, Russia event will be the 2014 Winter Olympics. ´I think Putin and Russia have a big stake in making
Martha´s Vineyard residents who have grown accustomed to the temporary disruptions of presidential vacation motorcades to the golf course and the beach can expect extraordinary and lengthy up-Island detours, after President Barack Obama and his family arrive Saturday. The Secret Service will close South Road to all vehicle traffic near the president´s vacation compound on Snail Road beginning about 2 pm, Saturday afternoon. Only abutters and emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass through security check points between Meeting House Road to the east and Wooton Bassett Road to the
RUSH: Everybody´s talking about -- well, not everybody. The chairman of the RNC wrote letters to CNN and NBC, "You guys, we´re not gonna show up at your debates anymore if you do these miniseries on Hillary." I think you ought to send the letter, just take out the part about the miniseries on Hillary. "We´re not gonna show up in your debates anymore." They´ll never do that, but that´s what they should do. Anyway, the RNC is very much concerned about all these miniseries on Hillary. Last night, while
LOS ANGELES – Presidential trips to California almost always come with fundraising events attached — and though there wasn’t one on President Obama’s schedule for his visit here Tuesday, he made sure to include one anyway. After finishing taping the Tonight Show in Burbank, Obama arrived with his presidential motorcade at the Hilton Woodland Hills and wasn’t seen publicly for the rest of the night. He did, however, host a major Democratic donor for a private meal. “The president had dinner with his long time friend, Jeffrey Katzenberg,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney, referring to the Dreamworks CEO.
RUSH: Looky here what I happen to be holding in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. It is a story from the UK Guardian, and the date is today. "Should We Care That Smart Women are Not Having Kids?" It´s not should we care that "stupid women" are not having kids. It´s "Should We Care That Smart Women are Not Having Kids? -- "It seems that women these days are too clever for their own good, at least when it comes to making babies. "Research emerging from the London School of Economics examining the links between
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) made his clearest indication yet that he would be fine with a piecemeal approach to immigration reform preferred by the Republican-led House. Schumer, the leader of the Gang of Eight whose comprehensive immigration reform legislation passed the Senate in June, said even if the House passes separate bills, those measures could eventually be bundled in a House-Senate conference committee. “We would much prefer a big comprehensive bill, but any way that the House can get there is OK by us,” Schumer told CNN Wednesday. “I actually am optimistic that we will get this done.”
WASHINGTON — U.S. officials insisted Tuesday that extraordinary security measures for nearly two dozen diplomatic posts were to thwart an “immediate, specific threat,” a claim questioned by counterterrorism experts, who note that the alert covers an incongruous set of nations from the Middle East to an island off the southern coast of Africa. Analysts don’t dispute the Obama administration’s narrative that it’s gleaned intelligence on a plot involving al Qaida’s most active affiliate, the Yemen-based Arabian Peninsula branch. That would explain why most U.S. posts in the Persian Gulf are on lockdown, including the U.
Critics of the president are convinced that Barack Obama will do lasting damage to the U.S. I doubt it. Obama came to power in the third year of large Democratic congressional majorities. In his first referendum, he lost the House and he may soon lose the Senate; in other words, there followed a somewhat normal reaction against a majority party. Obama’s popularity rating is well below 50%, despite an obsequious media and a brilliantly negative billion-dollar campaign that long ago turned Mitt Romney into a veritable elevator-using, equestrian-marrying, canine-hating monster. In the second term, there is little
Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney jumped into the debate over the GOP’s future Tuesday night, warning congressional Republicans against forcing a government shutdown in their quest to stop President Barack Obama’s signature health care law. Romney addressed more than 200 donors on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee at a fundraiser for the New Hampshire Republican Party, staged just four miles from the vacation home where he has spent much of the summer with his family. The event was closed to the media, but his office released his prepared remarks.
The U.S. State Department issued a global alert about the terrorist threat allegedly posed by Al-Qaeda in Yemen. The USA announced the closure of its missions in the Middle East and Africa, and their example was followed by France, Britain, and Germany. However, this was only an attempt to justify the activities of the National Security Agency.Last Saturday, right after alerting of the terror threat civilians and BOLO complex ("be on the lookout") that includes law enforcement and federal officials, President Barack Obama went to play golf, and then celebrated his birthday at the presidential retreat at Camp David.
WASHINGTON — Former Massachusetts lawmaker Barney Frank revealed that he doesn’t believe in God. During Friday’s appearance on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” Frank, who championed the decriminalization of pot while serving in the House of Representatives, admitted to smoking marijuana and being an atheist. “You were in a fairly safe district. You were not one of those congress people who would have to worry about every little thing,” Maher said to Frank. “You could come on this show and sit next to a pot-smoking atheist and it wouldn’t bother you.”
Barack Obama delivered one gaffe after another in his August 6 interview with Jay Leno, but the networks that usually mock every mistake or slip of the tongue made by Republicans ignored the President´s verbal mishaps. ABC´s Good Morning America, CBS´s This Morning and NBC´s Today show, on Wednesday morning, all bypassed the chance to criticize Obama for: downplaying the threat of terrorism; falsely claiming Vladimir Putin once ran the KGB; placing the Atlantic coast cities of Savannah, Charleston and Jacksonville on the Gulf of Mexico; confusing the Winter Olympics with the Summer Olympics. First up, on the
In a rare diplomatic snub, President Obama is canceling plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next month. The decision reflects both U.S. anger over Russia´s harboring of National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden and growing frustration within the Obama administration over what it sees as Moscow´s stubbornness on other key issues, including missile defense and human rights. Obama will still attend the Group of 20 economic summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, but a top White House official said the president had no plans to hold one-on-one talks with Putin while there.
A poll released Friday by Public Policy Polling found that Alaska voters would pick former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the state´s former Republican governor, Sarah Palin, if the two women were to face off in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton led with 49 percent in the hypothetical match-up, with Palin at 40 percent, a nine-point gap. As of July 3, Republicans comprised 27 percent of the state´s registered voters and Democrats made up just 14 percent. The last time Alaskans opted for the Democrats´ presidential candidate was in 1964. Clinton trails five other hypothetical GOP candidates –
Over the last week, there has been a lot of buzz about a supposed CIA angle to the Benghazi story. Specifically, it has been alleged that a substantial number of CIA employees were on the ground in Benghazi, carrying out a mission that involved rounding up Libyan weapons and transferring them to rebels in Syria. Further, it has been reported that the CIA has leaned on its employees not to cooperate with Congressional investigations or the media, and it has been suggested that the CIA’s role in Benghazi may be related to the al Qaeda
President Obama is slated to deliver a speech later this month commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington in which Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. Obama will deliver his speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial — the same place where King spoke 50 years ago. The Let Freedom Ring ceremony will be held Aug. 28. "It’s obviously a historic, seminal event in the country. It’s part of my generation’s formative memory and it’s a good time for us to do some reflection,"
In a move some claim is tantamount to social engineering, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is imposing a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America’s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory. The policy is called, "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing." It will require HUD to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every single neighborhood and try to remedy it. HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan unveiled the federal rule at the NAACP convention in July. "Unfortunately, in too many of our hardest hit communities, no matter how hard
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie holds a narrow lead among Republicans for the party’s 2016 presidential nomination, but even more GOP voters say he’s the candidate they least want to see nominated. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that Christie earns 21% support when Republican voters are asked whom they would vote for if the party’s primary in their state were held today. Florida Senator Marco Rubio runs a close second with 18% of the GOP vote, followed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 16% and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul with 15% of the vote.
