| Officials in Texas announced on Thursday that State Troopers would no longer be allowed to open fire on suspects from helicopters after the recent killing of two immigrants. The 50 cal. really rattles the chopper skid mounts but it´s worth it when you see the astonished faces of those drug runners !
I agree that land mines are cruel and should be avoided except in hi-bypass areas like all of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Once we have 100% control of our southern border then we can have a nice long talk about those who didn´t get home in time and how we will prosecute them.
Enforce the law or change the law.
I´m good either way.

On the face of it, shooting wetbacks from a helo sounds like a good idea, but what happens when they decide its ok to shoot any of us?

Okay; settle down. This is a change in rule to Texas Dept of Public Safety´s use of force in "hot" pursuit. Previously, shooting from the helicopter to stop a fleeing auto was allowed.
However, someone missed and killed 2 guys in the bed of a pickup truck.
Hence the rule change. Personally, I think they just needed more practice. But that´s difficult to do.....

During a rally held on Tuesday with workers, Venezuela´s acting President Nicolás Maduro announced a rise in the minimum salary of 38-45% that would be implemented in three stages. The first 20% would be implemented in May, from USD 325.55 to USD 390.66. The next increase (10%) would be adopted in September, bringing salaries up to USD 429.73. A final adjustment would be enforced in November by 5-10%, based on inflation. The president in charge also announced the creation of "workers´ groceries," aimed at bringing state-run food network Mercal to state-run companies so that workers can directly buy foodstuffs at their workplace.

She transformed not just her own Conservative Party, but the whole of British politics. Her enthusiasm for privatisation launched a global revolution and her willingness to stand up to tyranny helped to bring an end to the Soviet Union. Winston Churchill won a war, but he never created an “ism”. The essence of Thatcherism was to oppose the status quo and bet on freedom—odd, since as a prim control freak, she was in some ways the embodiment of conservatism.
