| The driver of a Maserati who was killed in a drive-by shooting on the Las Vegas strip on Thursday bragged about stashing a gun in his $120,000 Italian sports car. Kenneth Cherry, aka Kenny Clutch, was killed when men inside a black Range Rover opened fire on his car while he was sitting at a red light. He accelerated into the intersection and crashed into a taxi. Cab driver Michael Boldon and his passenger died when the taxi burst into flames. Family members said Boldon had recently moved to Las Vegas to take care of his ailing mother.

The article in the paper this morning allowed as the RR had big rims and blacked-out windows, but no further details on the deceased. These two factoids (or, rather, one factoid and one lack of factoid) suggested strongly as to what was going on. Oh, and the factoid that the incident apparently stemmed from something that happened at the valet parking of a casino.
Big rims, black tint, somebody dissed, no identifying info of the deceased -- one can figure it out.

The illegal immigrant who was drunk driving when he hit and dragged a Milford man to his death has been ruled incompetent to stand trial. Judge Janet Kinton-Walker says Nicolas Guaman´s "unique cultural background" and language barrier means that he doesn´t understand the court process. The court also said that he lacks the ability to consult with his attorney properly. The judge ordered Guaman´s attorney to find an interpreter and educate him on the court process. Tamra Varebrook’s 8th-grade daughter came home recently with an assignment on liberalism versus conservatism that shocked and angered her because of how it characterized one of the political ideologies. “I looked at it, and reading the description of ‘conservatism’ being that we are the party that wants to restrict all personal freedoms struck me as pretty much incorrect,” she said. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city. With the recent arrests of several local politicians for corruption perhaps New Yorkers will pay more attention to those they put in office. Given their past indifference in local elections this is highly unlikely.
