| Rush Limbaugh opened his show this afternoon proclaiming that for the first time in his career, he was ashamed of his country. Why? Limbaugh explained that both political parties in Washington refused to stop spending and used alarmist scare tactics every time anyone proposed cuts to government programs. "To be watching all of this, to have my intelligence – all of us – to have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way it is….it just makes me ashamed," Limbaugh explained, "Seriously man, here we get worked up over 44 billion dollars – that’s the total amount of money

Rush was dead-on right. If we have to battle all these same old lies just to cut the RATE OF GROWTH, then we have little chance of actually doing the meaningful, necessary cutting that we must do in order to save the country.

The RINOs have been aiding and abetting their fellow statist progressives in the Democrat Party for decades and it´s way past time to take them down.

I´ ve noticed and BTW been proud of Rush telling us all how it is with "the establishment" "republicans" in DC and elsewhere going along with the enemies of our country. These people just want to continue to have influence and power over the greatest nation the world has ever known. The worker bees be damned. Those of us and our forefathers who sweat and bled for this "experiment" in self governance had better watch our backs.... and those we back.

Rush is spot on. We are being sold a bill of goods again by both parties! I am so sick of the false crises that are forced upon us by the ruling class and their partners in crime, the media. The dangerous rhetoric coming from the President is disturbing because he wants to see us at each others throats. He needs chaos in order to advance his agenda. Problematic for us is the fact that no one has the resolve to stop him. The Republicans are too busy trying to find common ground. There is NO common ground with this President. He insists we bend to his will. We need warriors, not compromisers. We are being pushed to civil disobedience in order to justify the crackdown that Obama desires. How do you believe a Tea Party rally would be received today? Obama would see to it that there was plenty of threatening opposition that would show up. The animosity he has so carefully fueled would be ignited. This is the goal of all progressives. They must stomp out all opposition by any means.

If you don´t know why we listen to Rush, you´re not listening. Rush, talk radio in general, and the internet are the only places you will find an honest discussion of the issues we face.

Rush is on to something-- The RINOs have sold out to the notion that BIG government is inescapable, and his cohort Mark Levin has also hit it on the head.
The "Old Bulls" as Levin calls them, and the "establishment" as Rush calls them are totally adrift from voting as their constituents would want them to vote, and instead are trying to become a "ruling class" whom the media will favor.
The GOP is a divided party between those who are still staunch conservatives loyal to the brand who still hold to lower taxes, less government, and moral social responsibility and those who think they can rule better than the dems can with big government.
They pal around with each other and have forgetten the maxim that "the government which governs best also governs least".

With that said, I see good only coming out of the GOP and I see some of that vilified, a great way to divide us. I see bad stuff, too. And, yeah, current topic: the sequester? Nice to see the Donks squirm. Nice to see SOME cutting. I´d like to see the GOP with unassailable majorities but... what is it Coulter called the Libertarians, little ´kitties´?. Yeah... The FBI has been asked to open a probe into how that audio was acquired, and Todd told Matthews that a federal crime may have been committed in this case. Matthews asked Todd what he thought the legal issues would be for the news outlets and publications that release the audio

Following Tuesday´s special election victory, Democrat Robin Kelly will start a new job in Congress as the least senior member of a House dominated by Republicans. That political reality is not lost on Kelly, who said her first task is to restore district offices and concentrate on constituent services as she replaces disgraced former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. in the South Side and south suburban 2nd Congressional District. "Yes, we´ve seen some tough times and some setbacks. I know for some of you, your faith in your leaders is a little shaken,"

Actually, she is backing off. Here’s the thing about her now-famous MSNBC promo: Either she’s saying something radical or she’s saying something so banal that it’s barely even worth saying. The radical interpretation is that she thinks parents should have less say over how their children are raised and that “communities” should have a larger role. The very, very banal interpretation is that she thinks communities should do more to improve children’s lives and that thinking of them as “our children” might help forge that mentality. The money line in the promo that pointed to the radical interpretation

Richard Pollack at the Washington Examiner reports on a painless way to handle sequester costs -- cut out the unnecessary duplicative federal programs: Duplicative drug abuse and treatment services are strewn over 76 federal programs. Housing services are spread across 20 different agencies. Renewable energy projects go through 23 federal agencies and 130 sub-agencies. Even federal catfish inspections are done by three different agencies. These are only a few of 162 examples identified by the U.S. Government Accountability Office, a congressional watchdog agency, of fragmented, duplicative federal programs and services.

At a hearing last week, DC Superior Court judge Michael Rankin set a trial date of November 18, 2013. Newmyer first filed suit against Sidwell and its former psychologist in May 2011. WASHINGTON- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says he wants U.S. military law changed so senior commanders can´t overturn courts-martial verdicts in major crimes such as rape. Hagel said the Pentagon´s top lawyers would prepare legislation for Congress that would strip commanders´ power to toss out convictions, "except for certain minor offenses that would not ordinarily warrant trial by court-martial." Convicted defendants still would be able to appeal their cases. But in a move berated by advocacy groups for military sexual-assault victims, Hagel also said he would recommend commanders retain the power to alter courts-martial sentences,

If presidential politics ever involved time travel, President Obama might be in a little trouble. If an election between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama were held today, 58% would vote for Reagan over Obama, according to a survey of 1,000 Americans age 18 and older conducted by Kelton Research for the National Geographic Channel. Though when the field is narrowed to people ages 18-34 -- those either too young to have known Reagan as president or too young to remember much -- the gap shrinks to 51% in favor of Reagan.

With all due respect to Mother Jones´s conversation-leaker-in-chief David Corn, the recordings published today of a conversation between Sen. Mitch McConnell and some consultants disparaging Ashley Judd is not news. It´s the sausage being made. We´ve got full background here, but the toplines are this: Corn got hold of a conversation apparently recorded during a presentation by consultants to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell´s reelection campaign. The consultants were opposition researchers, hired by the campaign to ferret out damaging information about actress Ashley Judd, who at one point considered running against McConnell.

Reid (D-Nev.) invoked his father’s suicide Tuesday as he once again pleaded with Republicans not to block legislation under consideration. During his morning remarks on the Senate floor, Reid recalled receiving a 12-gauge shotgun ordered from a Sears catalog for his 12th birthday and made reference to incidents of gun violence in his home state of Nevada, including the 2010 shooting at a Las Vegas federal building. He also noted that as a young state legislator, he sponsored a bill

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered. Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.
