Laura Ingraham: Joe Scarborough’s
disdain for talk radio may stem from
his own 2010 radio ´cancellation´

Daily Caller, by Jeff Poor

Original Article

Posted By:sparky86, 2/21/2013 4:48:51 PM

On her Thursday program, conservative talker Laura Ingraham struck back at MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough and others who want to blame talk radio for 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s presidential election loss, suggesting that Scarborough’s anger may be linked to his radio show getting cancelled in 2010. “You got to have leaders that will turn out against the crazies in your own party,” Scarborough said Thursday morning, “and if you do — you start winning those middle, those swing voters.” Scarborough, along with others on his program Thursday, attacked certain elements in the conservative movement, including talk radio

Comments:
Every morning (mostly because I am a glutton for punishment) I get up and watch Scarborough´s tripe just to hear what the other side is up to.

And the thing that makes it upsetting is that they actually believe if there were no "talk radio" element to the conservative movement, the GOP would cruise in elections.

Ms. Ingraham is correct to go after critics because I guarantee you Mitt Romney wasn´t the talk radio choice for the Republican nominee. Only one I can recall being on the Romney wagon was Ann Coulter.

I agree and am a regular Rush listener. During the GOP primary he pronounced Romney´s name in a quasi Thurston- Howell-the- third- voice. Rush was not being complimentary.

Rush is only interested in his ratings.

His lack of formal education is obvious.

He´s been left behind by the rest of us who have a better grasp on the big picture.

As for Scarborough, none of us consider any he says of any import at all. The only reason he has a show is because he´s willing to trash republicans.

Maybe he, Rush, and Levin can team up and take their show on the road.

A failure to properly supervise a Department of Veteran’s Affairs employee led him to use VA resources for sexting, misuse official time, and inappropriately spend thousands of dollars in travel funds, according to a recent report. In a redacted report — first highlighted by the Military Times — the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General reveals a plethora of cringe-worthy offenses perpetrated by an unnamed VA employee. Despite the employee’s bad behavior, his supervisors allowed him to continue his unauthorized activities and even promoted him.

In 2011, the Department of Justice raided Gibson Guitar facilities in Memphis and Nashville, alleging a violation of the so-called Lacey Act, a law that bans the importation of certain kinds of wildlife, plants and wood. At the time of the raid, Gibson Guitars CEO Henry Juszkiewicz told Hugh Hewitt on his radio show that the feds confiscated tonewood imported from India for the guitar Gibson manufacturers which would result in a cost of $2 to $3 million for his company. At a great expense in legal fees and time, Juszkiewicz fought the federal government tooth and nail.

The bungled rollout of President Obama’s signature health care law might have kept the president away from Gettysburg, but it has not kept him off the links or away from the fundraising circuit. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as
