Cry, the Misogynistic Country

Johannesburg - IT is a tragic truism that South Africa is one of the world’s most violent countries outside of war zones. And for all of its international headlines, the Valentine’s Day shooting of the model Reeva Steenkamp by the prosthetic-legged Olympic hero Oscar Pistorius is ultimately a very South African story. Mr. Pistorius’s charm, beauty, talent and refusal to live a marginal life as a disabled person made him a marketer’s dream. And for a fragile South Africa, he was a symbol of the country’s obsession with overcoming obstacles. Mr. Pistorius’s personal story reminded us

Here we see the mind of a liberal journalist.

The cause of all bad things has to be a politically Correct bad guy. The ultimate bad guy would be a rich white guy with guns. This trumps even being a double amputee athlete (normally an Uber PC person). The reason for Mr. Pistorius´ crime isn´t a personal failure of one man, but failure of all men. Given the slightest opportunity any man, but a white man in particular, will rape and murder a woman.

This is a variation on Godwin´s Law; instead of defining how quickly an issue devolves to a comparison to Nazi´s, the variation is now how quickly it devolves into a comparison of race.

The article doesn´t tell you that Rape in South Africa is rampant and that NO single women should visit the country without armed body guards.

Race is a factor in many of these crimes but most Black on Black crime is NOT reported to the police ......... when the victims are Asian or White the cases may make the news.

A UK S.A. immigrant killed his wife and got away with it ........... and just this month there was a high profile case of a young white woman was abducted, gang raped and murdered.

With Aids rampant in the country´s majority population rape victims had to sue in court to get antiviral meds when sexually assaulted by black rapists.

It´s just a matter of getting a template match.

Template #1: blame all the whites.

Template #2: blame all the rich.

Template #3: blame all the males.

Template #4: blame the whole freaking society.

If the "narrative" can´t been hammered, compressed, and squooshed into templates #1, 2, or 3, go for #4: it´s almost always a comfortable fit.

Sheesh, he could write these things in his sleep. Maybe he does.

MURRAY, KY - When Texas Governor Rick Perry comes to Kentucky, people like to remind him of Jim Bowie, the Kentucky native who died at the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. Perry told a crowd of about 300 Republicans at the Lincoln Reagan Dinner at Murray State University on Saturday night that Bowie was willing to give up everything for freedom. He said he hopes there is a new generation of young men and women that are willing to give up everything to change Kentucky. One thing Perry does not want to change: Kentucky´s senior U.S. senator. SEOUL—When Park Yong-ok retired as governor of a Korean province last year, he forfeited the perks of a top government job, including a luxury sedan with a chauffeur. But his biggest regret was never going to the province during his four-year tenure. He recalls his appointment at South Korea´s presidential office in 2009. "Governor Park, what are you doing here? You should be in Pyongyang, not here in Seoul!" then-President Lee Myung-bak joked. "I spoke right back to the president with a laugh: ´Yes sir, I am preparing now to go to Pyongyang.´ " Mr. Park, 71 years old, was

If at least for the sake of variation, those charged with riffling through last Friday’s news dumps must have been relieved to find neither new Obamacare delays nor abandoned red lines hiding among the detritus. And yet, while the less technically proficient could have been forgiven for having missed it, an announcement just as vexing was waiting in lieu: that America was planning to give up control of the Internet. At this point in the proceedings, one is customarily chastised by pedants who note impatiently that the United States does not really “control” much of the Internet at all — at

The United State of America of President Obama is hapless, helpless and hopeless in facing down Russian strongman Vladimir Putin’s annexation of Crimea. Once more on the international stage, Obama’s actions have fallen far short of his rhetoric, cementing the President’s image as a man who recognizes the obligations that come with leading the globe’s only superpower but hasn’t the will or the muscle to carry them out. He draws red lines only to see them quickly erased, along with his credibility. At a time when polls show public opinion turning against the Democrats, some Republicans seem to be turning against each other. Even with the prospect of being able to win control of the Senate in this fall’s elections, some Republicans are busy manufacturing ammunition for their own circular firing squad. A Republican faction’s demonization of their own Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell, is a classic example. If you listen to some of those who consider themselves the only true conservatives, you would never guess that Sen. McConnell received a lifetime 90 percent ranking by the American Conservative Union — and in

The midterms were always going to be bad for Democrats because of turnout. It´s important to remember that the midterm elections were always going to be difficult for the

It has been 24 years since the launch of NASA´s Hubble Telescope and to celebrate the anniversary, astronomers captured a photographic series of a star birth nearly 6,400 light-years away. The collection of images showcase a shadowy, dense knot of gas and dust, contrasted against a background of brightly glowing gas. Photographed in February 2014, this celestial photo shoot took place in the Monkey Head nebula, or as it is officially called, NGC 2174. Located in the constellation of Orion, the massive newborn stars photographed -- near the center of the nebula -- are blasting away at dust. Emitted by the bright
