In order to explain this to the average Democrat (or for that matter to anyone who is ignorant with respect to the petroleum industry), you´d have to spend hours and hours and hours making a rational argument as to why: 1) state of the art hydrofrac techniques do not pose any!! threat to potable ground water 2) the wells are so deep that even the lousiest subsurface water cannot infiltrate the aquifers that supply drinking and household water to humans; and 3) as long as wells are propely drilled and cased and completed from top to bottom, which the industry is definitely capable of doing, they will not contaminate human groundwater; and 4) the enemies of energy independence in the United States will always have an army of activist lawyers and politicians they can rely on to seize on the slightest mishap to accomplish their goals,there is a chance of success for our beloved country.

Cuomo is motivated by his desire to beat Hilary in the wacko Dem primary vote. Yoko is motivated by ignorance. But the people who benefit from this are motivated by malice: the Russians, the Arabs.
No one is even thinking about the poor guy with a GED or HS education that could get a good paying job working on a drill rig or a frac crew. That guy is not even a part of the equation in Cuomo, Yoko, Putin, or the Arabs calculus. Poor people don´t count.

There´s no way you´re oing to win the dem presidential primary without having the environment loonbats in your corner. In fact the crazier you are with ideas to fight climate change,the more you´re accepted by these people.
You have Henry Waxman saying that Obama should more or less all people to modernize their appliances.Of course the you know who´s would get nice aluminum fridges courtesy of a government handout,which is the real reason for this scheme.
States like NY operate on a day to day,week to week basis.Even if they´re billions in the red on operating costs and gov´t pensions,they won´t do any long term planning to fix the problem if it violates their core principles.
The XL pipeline is another example. These people have secure jobs so they don´t care about unemployed families.

Just over a week ago, Chicago Public School (CPS) officials announced the closing of 54 elementary schools contained in 61 buildings, located in poor, mostly black and Hispanic neighborhoods. The move represents the largest mass closing of schools in the nation’s history. CPS, facing a projected budget deficit of $1 billion in 2014, insists money spent keeping schools with declining enrollment open can be better used elsewhere. Approximately 30,000 students will be affected by the move. The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) and many parents are furious, and vow to fight.

The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
