Lance Armstrong won´t meet

AUSTIN Lance Armstrong´s attorney says the cyclist won´t interview under oath with a U.S. Anti-Doping Agency official who wanted Armstrong to tell them all he knows about doping. The agency has said Armstrong´s cooperation in its cleanup effort is the only path open to Armstrong if his lifetime ban from sports is to be reduced. USADA officials had said Armstrong must speak with them if he hoped to reduce his lifetime ban from sports. Wednesday was the deadline for him to agree to interview. After more than two months of negotiations with USADA,

Are they going to drag in all the other pro athletes suspected of doping to testify under similar circumstances? If not, Lance Armstrong is perfectly right to tell them to go to hell.

#1: I agree. I want to see their investigation results on the other Tour de France riders. I may not approve of the way Armstrong has conducted himself with his fellow athletes, but I certainly don´t approve of the way this agency has conducted itself, either.

It will be interesting to see if the TdF gets any kind of scrutiny at all this year now that they´ve gotten the fish they were after all along.

Thing is, the other riders haven´t been banned for life. Armstrong has. Meeting with the USADA was the only way for him to get his ban reduced.

So what if he tells them to go to hell? He´s the one who was finalging to get something out of "fessing up" (sorta) to Okra on national TV. Now he won´t get it.

This is a quasi goobernment agency. The first rule when dealing with anything involving our goobernment is to stand on the 5th to ALL questions asked. Since Lance has nothing to gain from this and plenty more to lose (is his testimony immune from discovery?), then he has no reason whatsoever to cooperate.

Other athletes in the investigation testified under oath for the Grand Jury and/or USADA. Lance Armstrong was offered the same deal as all of the other riders.

He refused.

The reason he won´t meet with USADA under oath is because of the outstanding cases, both criminal and civil.

Armstrong is a gifted athlete.

He is also a gifted liar, cheat, doper and fraud.

By competing in the Tour, he agreed to abide by their rules. If he wished to use drugs he could have/should have formed a new event or series of events where drug use was legal. To use the reputation, organization, promotional apparatus and fan base of the Tour de France for his own monetary gain was fraudulent, unethical and immoral.

Armstrong should be held accountable for his own actions.

To those who attempt to fault the USADA, I recommend you read their report and cite what parts of it with which you take exception. You also must cite credible evidence to support your argument. So far, I have seen none from USADA critics.

Just to set things straight, the USADA and its members have adequate standing to strip Armstrong of his seven fraudulent gold medals and to ban him from sports for life.

Have you read the report issued by the USADA?

With which part of the content do you take issue? Please provide your evidence.

Armstrong read their report and decided to quit his long string of lawsuits and denial and admit his guilt instead. Does that tell you anything about the strength o0f the case built by the USADA?

Armstrong should pay back every penny of the sponsor and endorsement money he FRAUDULENTLY obtained over YEARS of lies, deception and lashing out at anyone who dared to question his use of drugs.

Read the report. It provides evidence that no one, including Armstrong, has challenged.

Comcast has agreed to buy Time Warner Cable for more than $45 billion in stock, a deal that would combine the two largest cable providers in the country, according to people familiar with the matter. The combined company would be a communications juggernaut with far greater influence than any of its peers. It would not only control the “last mile” connections that pump cable and internet services into homes and businesses, but also a huge swath of the content that travel through those pipes since Comcast already owns the entertainment empire of NBC Universal. The proposed merger is expected to

Some Americans think that America is so good that it´s their moral obligation to let everyone in to share in the joyous holiday of being American. They assume that anyone who becomes American is lucky. Wow, what a big break for a foreigner. Well, maybe it´s no longer so great here. After all, Obama ran on "change." And the country has changed during his administration. It went downhill. Maybe we don´t have to feel guilty for not letting foreigners become Americans. Perhaps they could do better elsewhere. Perhaps Obama´s new America, with its change for change´s sake, is not good

At the height of fascination with the "Bridgegate" scandal, Chris Christie decried MSNBC´s coverage as "gleeful" and "partisan." Maybe so. However, one undeniable aspect of the left´s attack on Christie is the rigor with which it has pursued the case, rigor worthy of a life-or-death story it has all but ignored – the Benghazi attacks. Many conservatives, particularly those who have defended the way the New Jersey governor has handled this scandal, have been quick to point out that, at its worst, the George Washington Bridge scandal is about petty politicians being petty and ruining everyone´s lives with their pettiness.

It´s no surprise that Barack Obama´s authoritarian streak is revealing itself at last. It was always there; clearly apparent in his rhetoric (e.g., his envy of Chinese president Xi Jin-ping´s powers), his abuse of executive orders, his threats against Congress, his sultan with fly-whisk attitudes toward his opposition, and even his vacations, which reek more of third-world trash gamboling on the Riviera than any American leader (George W.
