Times Square Billboards:
‘It’s Time the Liberal Media
Stop Censoring the News!’

Cybercast News Service, by Michael W. Chapman

Original Article

The Media Research Center (MRC), a conservative watchdog group that tracks liberal bias in the news, rented five large billboards in Times Square over the weekend as part of its “Stop Censoring the News” campaign to educate the public about how certain media outlets apparently are spinning their coverage or simply censoring news critical of the Obama administration to protect and promote a liberal agenda. The five billboards are clustered together in Times Square and face in different directions, covering 3,800 square feet. Two of the signs read, “It’s Time the Liberal Media Stop Censoring the News!” and

Comments:
Will this have any impact on the uninformed voters? Probably not. They only hear what they want to hear and believe the lies spewed forth by 0bama and the leftist media.

At least one billboard should be of the revolving variety and should note the stories they´ve left uncovered. Like Fast and Furious, Solyndra, Delphi, John Corzine´s massive fraud ...

These billboards will make a small impact (even if it´s just to annoy the willfully uninformed), but hitting people with bytes of what they´ve missed would be very helpful.

Leftist drones are content in their faux reality virtual world. Much like a video game addict, they are uncomfortable when exposed to the light of day and confronted with the real world. In some areas of the country (Bos-Wash, Chithug town, Philly, Detroit, SF, LA), it may be prudent to let them remain unenlightened less they become confrontational, violent and destructive as leftists typically become when their beliefs are challenged.

Money well spent. The “fourth estate” has become a marketing arm of the Democratic Party. ABC, CBS, NBC and the New York Times won’t criticize themselves in any meaningful way, and will censor, spin or lie about any outside effort to do so.

Conservatives are preaching to the choir when they limit their audience to sympathetic blogs and radio talk shows. It’s about time conservative organizations utilized a relatively inexpensive way to punch their message directly through to the people who live and work in the heart of the capital of the left’s otherwise well-defended media kingdom.

WASHINGTON ? Adult basic education and GED programs, with about 800,000 students taking GED tests each year, serve a segment of society that escaped government schools, including many homeschoolers. But the national propaganda effort called the Common Core Curriculum is spreading its tentacles to them. While many may not take the GED seriously, calling it the “Good Enough Diploma,” consider that quite a few homeschoolers take GED tests as a way to cancel out high school attendance requirements and lessen the record-keeping burden on home educators caused by compulsory attendance laws in every state. 2014 GED

You may be wondering what the Newseum is; besides a really stupid portmanteau with a suspicious resemblance to Nauseam. The Newseum is three things. It’s big. It’s ugly. And it’s in D.C. Congressional testimony this week showed the appalling lengths to which the Obama administration went to cover-up its mishandling of last fall’s terrorist attack at the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, but President Obama’s precise role in the cynical operation remains hidden. Americans still don’t know what President Obama knew and when he knew it. We don’t know what exactly he did when he learned on Sept. 11, 2012 that U.S. officials in Benghazi were under attack. Obama may have gone to bed while the attack was in progress, leaving

Esteemed Republican strategist and lobbyist Roger Stone writes in his upcoming book that former president Lyndon B. Johnson set up John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Stone also writes that Richard Nixon and Johnson had a documented relationship with Jack Ruby, Lee Harvey Oswald’s killer, years before he shot Oswald in the basement of Dallas police headquarters in 1963. Stone, who worked for Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-elect the President in 1972 and later served in the Nixon administration, writes that Johnson, a congressman at the time, instructed Richard Nixon, also a congressman at the time, to hire Ruby onto

WASHINGTON – Reporters and photographers were evacuated briefly from the West Wing of the White House early Saturday because of smoke from an overheated transformer in a mechanical room. U.S. Secret Service spokesman Max Milien said that at about 7 a.m., smoke was seen coming from a mechanical room closet on the first floor. "Early this morning, an electrical transformer near the West Wing malfunctioned and set off a smoke alarm in the West Wing," a White House official said in a statement. "The transformer problem was quickly resolved. Electricity and personnel access to

Biometric Database of All Adult

The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system. Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named “photo tool,” a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver’s license or other state-issued photo ID.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz says the Senate’s immigration rewrite will fail because it rejects the popular bipartisan demand for tougher border security. “The American people want Congress to be serious on border security,” said Cruz, a Harvard-trained lawyer who has earned bitter complaints from progressives since his 2010 election. “That is true among Republicans and among Democrats, it is true in red states and blue states, that there is a bipartisan consensus [that] we need to get serious on securing the border,” he told Senators gathered

A long time ago in an America far, far away (some call it “the seventies”), there were only six channels to choose from on your television dial. So in terms of actually getting on the air at one of these stations, the competition was obviously fierce due to the limited options presented to aspiring anchors and reporters looking to break in. It basically went like this: Either someone had to die or embarrass themselves on the level of going streaking through the quad in order for a position to open up in the national news media.

A BEDROCK principle of U.S. democracy is that the coercive powers of government are never used for partisan purpose. The law is blind to political viewpoint, and so are its enforcers, most especially the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service. Any violation of this principle threatens the trust and the voluntary cooperation of citizens upon which this democracy depends. So it was appalling to learn Friday that the IRS had improperly targeted conservative groups for scrutiny. It was almost as disturbing that President Obama and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew have not personally apologized to the

As a presidential speech writer for the first Bush White House, I am always very interested in what presidents say in their formal speeches. They know, of course, that their remarks will be widely covered by the press, studied by analysts, and influential in contemporary political debates. For that reason, presidents rarely speak off-the-cuff, and their every word is carefully chosen for exactly the message the White House wants to convey to the public. Their graduation speeches, like all presidential addresses, go through many drafts and are reviewed by high-level administration officials

The most notable takeaway from Jay Carney’s incomprehensible Friday appearance had little to do with his Klingon grammar. Carney does not represent the historical value of the event – you should be wise to forget his performance, and instead take note that he was flanked by the entire room, without exception. Do not underestimate the significance: the Obama administration has not faced such an onslaught of truth-seeking since he took office in 2008, and further, no Democratic administration has been charged from all sides like this in recent memory. That press conference was unthinkable just days ago

Harkening back to a Mitt Romney press conference on September 12, 2012, which addressed the Benghazi attacks only in passing while focusing instead on the assault on the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt, Carney suggested that Romney had tried to target the innocent Obama administration for telling the truth about Benghazi. “Republicans, again, in this ongoing effort that began in the hours after the attack when Mitt Romney put out a press release to try to take political

Northwestern University continued to stumble over diversity issues this week as Mexican students voiced disagreement with a campuswide letter that advised students not to celebrate Cinco de Mayo by engaging in racially-offensive activities, such as eating tacos and drinking tequila. The letter was sent to students via e-mail, and published in The Daily Northwestern last week. Leaders of Alianza, a Latino student group, and the Associated Student Government called on students to remember that Cinco de Mayo commemorates Mexico’s victory over France in the Battle of Puebla. It is not a day to throw a sombrero-themed party, they said.

When it became clear last fall that the CIA’s now discredited Benghazi talking points were flawed, the White House said repeatedly the document were put together almost entirely by the intelligence community, but White House documents reviewed by Congress suggest a different story. ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensive edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.

She weathered Whitewater. She made it past Monica ?Lewinsky. Now Hillary Clinton is hoping to beat the rap on Benghazi and make it to the White House. The Clinton political machine is in full campaign mode already, preparing for 2016 and hoping voters forget by then that she had a key role in the Obama administration’s handling of the terror attack. But that’s becoming more difficult as the GOP appears to be laying the groundwork for tying Clinton to Benghazi and making sure it stays front and center in the next campaign. Some of the testimony from State Department whistleblowers

Shortly before last November’s election I took part in a Fox News documentary on Benghazi, whose other participants included the former governor of New Hampshire John Sununu. Making chit-chat while the camera crew were setting up, Governor Sununu said to me that in his view Benghazi mattered because it was “a question of character.” That’s correct. On a question of foreign policy or counterterrorism strategy, men of good faith can make the wrong decisions. But a failure of character corrodes the integrity of the state. It´s been 11 days and counting since the Jets cut ties with Tim Tebow and 13 months since they traded for him. Much of the conversation in the past week and a half has been about which teams -- if any -- would be interested in the former Heisman Trophy winner. The other, less conventional landing spot: New England. Coach Bill Belichick sees value where other talent evaluators don´t
