In the past, creeping federalization over state elections was properly justified by state racial discrimination, then the sketchier reason of inadequate numbers of welfare recipients registering to vote. It would also allow the criminals in the Democrat party more time to bus thousands of illegal voters to the polls. IN the mean time I show up on election day with a valid photo ID and my ballot is eventually rejected because I am white. Thats the world we live in.

Hey I actually showed up on election day with a valid photo ID, but no voter registration card. Oops, I was never issued a voter registrtion card. But I was allowed to vote anyways. Two weeks later I get a letter in the mail saying my ballot had been rejected. Hmm rejected because I was white in a democratic county??? Thats the world we live in. An try loosing my post this second time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Wednesday, the Associated Press mischaracterized the Benghazi hearings as merely a Republican event, even though it is an official House committee investigation. In the headline of its report, the Associated Press downplayed the official hearings of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee--that has both Democrats and Republicans on it--into the failures surrounding the 2012 attacks on our embassy personnel in Benghazi, Libya. The AP characterized the official hearings as "GOP hearings," making the proceedings seem like a mere political witch-hunt.

Laugh if you must but it’s no goofier than the idea that “due process” implies a substantive right to kill a baby in the womb but not five minutes later, after it’s emerged. Bsides, Jackson Lee’s been consistent on this. Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. was the deadline for members of the Senate Judiciary Committee to propose amendments to the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform bill. There were a lot of amendments. Sen. Charles Grassley, ranking Republican on the committee, proposed 77. Fellow Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions, perhaps the leading opponent of the bill on the committee, proposed 49. Sen. When it first became clear that the CIA’s Benghazi talking points had been altered, many of us viewed the White House as the prime suspect. After all, it served President Obama’s political purposes to claim, at the height of a political campaign in which he was taking credit for the fall of al Qaeda, that the death of a U.S. ambassador was down to spontaneous outrage over a video, rather than pre-planned terrorism. Former Gov. Mark Sanford completed the trail to political redemption Tuesday with a win over Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch to reclaim his old seat in Congress. Sanford defeated Colbert Busch 54 percent to 45 percent, according to full unofficial results.
