Pelosi: ‘Enough with the Public Nudity.
Please. We Have Our Standards’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said, “Enough” with public nudity in San Francisco, adding, “Please. We have our standards.” She also encouraged people to attend the city’s Gay Pride Parade, remarking, “It’s fabulous, you’ll love it.” San Francisco’s ban on public nudity went into effect on Feb. 1, but not without protests as four naked people were arrested on the steps of City Hall. “Enough with the public nudity,” Pelosi said in an interview with The Huffington Post on Feb. 12. “Please. We have our standards.” Under the ban, however, public nudity is still permitted for children younger

Comments:
Ahh yes, Pelosi suddenly has standards. s/o Where has she been?? She complains about standards and in the next breath says to go to the city’s Gay Pride Parade?? Now there´s where you will see the perfect display of vulgarity and lack of standards. Good. Grief. You couldn´t begin to make this up.

The words Pelosi and standards should never be in the same sentence.

It is nice to know that San Fran Nan draws the line somewhere.

As for the Gay Pride Parade, I´d like to know her opinion on Sister Boom Boom and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Since she professes to be Catholic, she should be outraged, but I´ll bet she´s not.

Uhhh, Madame Ex-Speaker [and why doesn´t "Ex-Speaker" ever mean "has shut up"? Sigh!], may I point out that in... certain cases, offensive public nudity includes the face?

OP, #1, etc.: public nudity is hardly the worst offense at those SF "Gay Pride" parades, not that the nudity isn´t totally offensive itself.

Standards illustrated by the gentleman whom I observed a few years ago relieving his bladder into the fountain in United Nations Square, as scores of unfazed locals pedestrians walked only yards away during a busy noon hour of an otherwise beautiful day in spring. Or by the otherwise naked man wearing a plastic transparent suit in a paradce about a mile from the University of San Francisco. When our little granddaughters go across the Bay into the City, their mother keeps an eye out for naked men on bikes. "All I can do is distract them until the cyclists go by," she says.

WASHINGTON - It´s called the Affordable Care Act, but President Barack Obama´s health care law may turn out to be unaffordable for many low-wage workers, including employees at big chain restaurants, retail stores and hotels. That might seem strange since the law requires medium-sized and large employers to offer "affordable" coverage or face fines. But what´s reasonable? Because of a wrinkle in the law, companies can meet their legal obligations by offering policies that would be too expensive for many low-wage workers. For the employee, it´s like a mirage — attractive but out of reach. The company
