President Obama´s latest uphill

President Obama played golf Sunday with Tiger Woods during the president’s long holiday weekend in Florida, the White House said. The foursome at the Floridian National Golf Club, in Palm City, Fla., included U.S. trade representative Ron Kirk and Jim Crane, a Democratic donor who owns the club and the Houston Astros baseball team. The White House has prohibited media coverage of Obama´s weekend golf outing, prompting Fox News´ Ed Henry, who is the president of the White House Correspondents Association, to issue a statement saying, "a broad cross section of our members from print, radio, online and TV

A gusher from Fox. Who knew?

It seems Obama and Woods -- the first black men at the top of their respective fields -- have spent the past few years inching toward Sunday´s meeting on the fairway.

and

The two met in January 2009, during Obama´s inauguration in Washington. Four months later, in April, Woods visited the White House and Obama welcomed him into the Oval Office.

Woods´ personal life imploded later in 2009 after revelations that he had engaged in multiple extramarital affairs, leading to divorce. He followed with a public apology and announced he was taking an indefinite break from golf. Shortly after Woods announced he was coming out of seclusion, Obama said in an interview with Fox News Channel that Woods will still be a "terrific" golfer despite his personal issues.

Awwwwwww. Should have done this on Valentine´s Day.

Since neither of these trips involved ANY political activity---who pays? We, the people, deserve to see reimbursement verification for their personal jaunts.

Did Biden fly on the same plane with Mooche this weekend or did he commandeer a separate plane to the same locale, during the same timeframe?

Following Attkisson’s resignation, the folks at Fox News’ “Media Buzz” expressed dissatisfaction at the state of journalism in America’s newsrooms and the culture of liberal bias that exists. Today, the image would have gone viral in an instant: The president of the United States, dripping wet in swim trunks before a throng of excited beachgoers, trading a look and a laugh with an attractive woman in a polka-dot bikini. But well before the Internet´s relentless rationing of spontaneous fame, the 1962 photo of President Kennedy at Santa Monica´s beach made quite a splash. For a Los Angeles woman named Eva Ban, its effect lasted a lifetime. Ban was the woman in the two-piece swimsuit, which was called a bikini in news accounts but was modest by today´s standards.

LONDON— With support growing for independence just months before Scots decide whether to break up with Britain, outsiders are weighing in with impassioned calls to keep the three-century-old union together. British officials from across the political spectrum, European Union leaders, corporate executives and retired military commanders have made their cases. Even David Bowie registered a plea for Scotland to “stay with us.” But there has been conspicuous silence from one major player with a lot to lose if Scotland secedes: the United States. A vote for independence would dismember Washington’s closest and most important ally, leaving behind a not-so-great Britain at

Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of
