´We want to get into your country

Shocking investigation into the
coming wave of immigration from
Romania and Bulgaria

Daily Mail [UK], by Guy Adams

Original Article

Lounging on the steps of a crumbling Soviet-era apartment block on the outskirts of Romania’s most notorious slum, Iordan Rupa is drinking apple brandy and waiting for his mobile phone to ring. Pulling a woollen hat tightly over his ears, he gestures at the filthy streets, filled with packs of stray dogs, mountains of rubble and litter, potholes, and the occasional burnt-out car. ‘Look at this place,’ he says. ‘There is nothing for us here. No jobs, no money. But if God is willing, this telephone will soon bring the chance of a better life.’

Sounds like Detroit or one of the many other leftist Utopias in the US.

I´ll take the east-Europeans over the flood of Hispanics from Mexico or further south. Immigration is one thing but, we need to cut back overall and, we´ve way too many from south of the border.

#8, please see today´s Sunday Express [UK] article, "Immigrant crime soars with foreign prisoners rising" at:

http://www.lucianne.com/thread/?artnum=723791

One of the stats is that 92% of ATM crime in the UK is committed by Romanians.

Checking Wikipedia I found:

Romanian-born residents
7,631 (2001 Census)
58,000 (2009 ONS estimate)

Population of the UK is around 63 million, so the ATM crimes committed by this particular demographic are wildly out of proportion to their percentage of the population.

I lived in Romania for three years ( under Ceaucescu ) and this doesn´t surprise me at all. Anyone from eastern Europe who is middle aged or older spent a large chunk of their lives under communism where there was no incentive to work and the black market thrived. It was all about wheeling and dealing under the radar and being as secretive as possible. All of that adds up to bad news in western societies, especially if the people in question are of the gypsy persuasion. There´s a reason why they have that reputation. At least a lot of Mexicans have a strong work ethic.

On the other hand, that Romanian sinkhole sounds like a natural place for a Democrat political dream team to fly in and just take over...all the leftard heavy lifting has already been done. Remember, it took decades of "work" to drive Detroit into this condition.

I have a dear friend from Romania. His family has temporarily moved to Italy looking for jobs. This friend is 23 y.o., trained as an auto electrician, and cannot find a job. His father has been a trucker for 40 years and could not find work in Romania. In Italy, he is working month to month. It´s hard to exaggerate the poverty in Romania. It´s easy to point out the crime and the dreariness, but behind each statistic, is a human being trying to survive, trying to improve him/herself, and trying to make life a little better for his/her children. Before being too swift to condemn or judge, think about your own ancestors and why they came here and the hardships they had in the "old country." My own great-grandfather arrived from Hanover, leaving behind most of his family and friends, hoping to escape the mundane (at best) downward spiral (at worst) of the life he experienced with his own parents and grandparents in Germany. I am forever grateful that he made this courageous, sacrificial move.

Somebody has to make the donuts.

How many immigrants have no skills and compete for low income jobs, not finding one, only to claim welfare benefits ?

The better thing to do is freeze all immigration until somebody has a viable plan. Voter is not an occupation Zippy.

Augusta, Ga. — The usual crowd at the putting green at Augusta National had turned to face the wrong direction, toward the outdoor dining area adjacent to the old clubhouse. Usually, this is a sign that golf royalty is nearby. And, sure enough, there he was: Arnold Palmer, the four-time Masters winner, wearing in his green jacket and looking over a menu that he has probably seen a thousand times. He already has his beverage. He is drinking an Arnold Palmer. We will have a full week to debate questions pertaining to this tournament. Will Tiger Woods finally break his major

New York — Cookie Monster stands accused of shoving a 2-year-old. Super Mario was charged with groping a woman. And Elmo was booked for berating tourists with anti-Semitic slurs. Times Square is crawling with entrepreneurs who dress up as pop-culture characters and try to make a few bucks posing for photos with visitors to the big city. But some of these characters are unlike anything you´ve seen on "Sesame Street" or at Disney World. They smoke, they use foul language, and they can be aggressive. At least three of them have been arrested in the past seven months.

Oakland Mayor Jean Quan has gained a reputation for citing crime statistics that don’t always add up or making statements to the press she later says were taken out of context. It’s happened again. In an interview with KCBS radio broadcast on Monday, Oakland’s mayor said the following: For the last 2 months, violence in Oakland has been way down. It seems to come in these spurts. So like for six weeks there had been no murders east of High Street in East Oakland. Problem is, there have been seven homicides east of High Street over the past six weeks,

More importantly for the November 2013 season finale in Pensacola, their practices in October are canceled too. New York — As many doctors struggle to keep their practices financially sound, some are buckling under money woes and being pushed into bankruptcy. It´s a trend that´s accelerated in recent years, industry experts say, with potentially serious consequences for doctors and patients. Some physicians are still able to keep practicing after bankruptcy, but for others, it´s a career-ending event. And when a practice shuts its doors, patients can find it harder to get the health care they need nearby. Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings by physician practices have spiked recently, noted Bobby Guy, co-chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute´s

However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.
