If the leader of the free

Earlier this week in his State of the Union address President Obama made some observations on climate change so brimming with falsehoods I´m surprised his nose didn´t fall off.[Snip]The point is that the President of the USA has access to any number of fact checkers and advisers and if he stands up and addresses the nation with a farrago of complete untruths then the buck stops with him. This dissembling and mendacity becomes all the more culpable when it forms the basis of major public policy decisions which will have a serious impact on people´s lives in the US and

D-Pole captures my feelings exactly.

As an extremely old person, my first impulse is to leave you all to the painful and destructive consequences of your leftist foolishness.

I plan to discuss this with WFB in the next life. Christopher Hitchens had better be ready to explain also.

It appears to me he´s been lying his whole life, so I don´t see why he would stop it during the SOTU speech. He is a dem after all.

First, lets get one thing straight. Obama is not a leader of anything. Not the free world and not even his marriage (Michelle wears the pants). Lets get another thing straight, he may have the title of president of the United States, but his mentality and expertise is only in community agitating. He knows how to lead malcontents to destroy things that others have built, but Obama couldn´t lead his hand to find his buttocks. To be a community agitator the person has to be a good liar and con artist. Obama is both.

#1, Christopher Hitchens will be hiding behind clouds in the afterlife, unable to admit that there is an afterlife.

Separate from that, the president is a congental, congenial liar. No one expects him to tell the truth. He is that friend in a circle of friends wh is tolerated by everyone, for no good reason.

Most amusing! So...after the Narcissist-in-Chief describes (albeit in utter BS) the plight of the planet *now*...

After he´s finished ´skyrocketing the cost of electricity´, and we´re paying $9.00 a gallon for gas...

He can spend the rest of what passes for his ´career´ giving speeches and writing (or having a bomber ghost-write) memoirs of ´How I Saved the Planet´.

And frighteningly - a vast number of people will believe *those* lies as well.

Face it folks, we´re well thru the Looking Glass at this point.

No, we are not "doomed"simply because another person tells lies. Rather we must give up the worship of "authority figures" who are liars, manipulators, and killers, and rely on our own minds to see reality and solve our own problems. We are living in the "Age of the Liars" and "The Age of the Corrupt Leaders". Plan and live accordingly. Trust your own mind, not some self-proclaimed "authority figure".

The real question is not does Obama lie, or is Obama incompetent, etc. but who is actually in charge? Obviously Obama is a puppet, but whose? Soros´s, an Ayatollah´s, Putin´s, Kim´s? Whoever is really in charge is delighted with everyone blaming Obama because it keeps him or her out of the spotlight.

Above a poster raises the question of whether this is the end times. The cause that makes the question credible is the fact that one may shout the truth at 135 decibels and rest assured that it was not heard over the tube blaring about "Honey Boo Boo" and saying "Yes to the Dress".

Our nation doesn´t want to hear.

Our minds are drawn to Paul the Apostle´s speech in II Timothy 3 where we are told that in the last days men will not be able to come to the truth, and that other men (like Jannes and Jambres, the magicians who perfectly well knew that Moses spoke the truth) will fight the truth with all their might.

Along with various other descriptors that perfectly describe America today, we realize that Paul´s conditions are satisfied. There are other conditions though which we must consider.

The progress of the Gospel seems to be foremost. The Lord will come when the fulness of the Gentiles has come in, that is, when the bulk of those who will be saved out of the Gentiles have accepted Christ (Romans 11:25). Has that occurred? Well...

It appears to be so in Europe, and increasingly so in the United States, where a dismantling and disbanding of churches is occurring wholesale because of lack of interest. I am told this is not the case below the equator, and that the church, protestant and catholic, is growing there.

So perhap we wait a while longer for the rest of the Gentiles "to come in". In the meantime our nation and culture may very well continue to wallow in the pig´s mire the American people and their leaders have created.

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. The most successful politicians write their own obituaries. I have read a number of Baroness Thatcher´s today and wondered whether the writers would be surprised if they were told she would probably agree with most of what was written, even in the Left-of-centre outlets. This is because successful politicians so dominate the debate on the issues they care about--which were many, in Thatcher´s case--that they determine the course of the argument including the response from opponents. They do this by defining themselves in the public imagination by what they are against rather than what they are for, and leaving only

Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.
