Inquiry of Democratic Senator
Started With a Partisan Push

New York Times, by Eric Lipton

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 2/16/2013 2:19:45 PM

Falls Church, VA - Sandwiched between two doctors’ offices at a roadside plaza here is the headquarters of a small team of veteran Republican investigators, operating almost as a private detective squad, who since late last year have had a determined goal: bringing down Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey. (Snip) The combination of allegations, of misuse of public office and of sexual misconduct, helped propel the story into the headlines and onto television, and set tongues to wagging at cocktail parties across Washington. Mr. Menendez, who just won his second Senate term

Comments:
In circling the wagons around the deeply self- wounded Senator Robert Menendez, (dRATS, NJ), the NY Times twists the truth. There´s no doubt there is fire here where there is smoke, but the jackass won´t resign [in shame, yet].

I suppose the left has NEVER tried to falsely smear a republican politician. Heck, it´s part of their standard MO. However, in Mendendez, it is probably not a smear, but the truth.

Of course, if we had a true non-partisan media, we wouldn´t need a small office sandwiched between two doctors at a roadside plaza to find out about this.

And anyway, did they buy Crook/Pervert Menendez´ plane tickets to the Dominican Republic, set him up with the miscreant eye surgeon, and send over the underage hookers?

Sounds to me that they´re doing the job the media is supposed to do.

To understand why President Obama’s Syria policy has failed so badly, look no further than the brutal regime crackdown on political protesters in Ukraine. The link is Vladimir Putin. U.S. officials foolishly banked on the Russian leader to squeeze Syria’s dictator into a political compromise at Geneva peace talks. But Putin — who prides himself on displays of bare-chested machismo — disdains political compromise. He prefers strongmen, whether in Syria, Ukraine or elsewhere, and will back Bashar al-Assad, no matter his war crimes. There´s a debate going on about Hillary Clinton´s past. If she runs for president in 2016, should Republicans reach back to the scandals of her years as First Lady? Or should they focus on more recent times, especially her tenure as Secretary of State, to build a case against her? The GOP doesn´t have to choose. Of course Clinton´s recent experiences are relevant to a presidential run. But so are her actions in the 90s, the 80s and even the 70s. It´s not ancient history; it reveals something about who Clinton was and still is. And re-examining her past is entirely consistent with practices in recent campaigns. In the 2012 presidential race,
