Obamacare: Democrats Starting to Run But There’s No Place to Hide

| It was inevitable that once the blanks contained in Obamacare began to be filled in, that even Democratic supporters of the law would start running away from it, so toxic it is going to be to any politician who supported it. The unintended — and intended – consequences are proving to be a nightmare for the health insurance consumer and the government seems powerless to do anything about it. A hearing on Thursday of the Senate Finance Committee turned into a Democratic Obamacare bashing-fest as four powerful Democratic Senators “laid into” the administration’s top regulator on new

We should not assume that they never intended to wreck the current health care system. In order to make health care ´fair´ and ´equal´ we´ll have to return to the Stone Age.

Don´t forget convicted financial fraudster and husband to loathsome Dem Rep Shakowsky wrote outlines for Obamacare while in Prison! Nothing to do with healthcare-it´s all about collapsing the system and control. Dems should be wiped out on 2014 if they don´t vote to repeal.

The ones now complaining were the ones behind the locked and closed doors that didn´t even read the bill they allowed their staffers to write, after being drafted by their peer´s spouse who was in prison when he drafted obamacare. There only salvation at this point would be to see to it the entire bill was rescinded and sign on to Senator Cruz´s bill which he authored.

Those who are hoping that 0bamacare is a train that is directly taking the ´Rat Party into oblivion and all we have to do is watch the fun, might be making the same mistake we made in ´08 and´12. The evil nexus between Liberals and the ´Free Phoners´ is deadly and will survive 0bamacare. A lot of proactive organizing at the grassroots is going to be needed.

The GOP should point out the every single concern coming from a Democrat can be found among the amendments proposed by GOP. Then let the Dems talk about how they might fix the mess. Yes, some children in college are covered by the parents´ insurance. But low cost policies for students are largely gone because the removal of caps for medical payments in a single year made the premiums go up. The high risk pools for the uninsured were just limited because the $5 Billion is going to run out. Every predicted disaster is coming true.

My husband is a physician. He just got his first contract for participation in one of the health insurance exchanges. It reads as though he is already guilty of defrauding the system--they just have to get the patient records and the financial records to prove it. My husband will have to take every patient referred to him by a PCP in the plan if the referral is within the domain of his specialty. And the PCP will have to take every new patient assigned to him/her by the plan, unless they are taking no new patients whatsoever.
Um, no thanks.

2,700 pages is now 15,000+ trying to explain what was "really meant."
The answer? Throw it all out and let us get back to square one which gave great access to everyone except the self-employed and some working for small companies. Don´t want to buy insurance? Then pay when you get there with something; a cigarette pack, take off that diamond ring, give up that tongue stud, a dollar, cut off a tattoo. No tickey? No Shirtey!
One "pundit" I read said he could write the entire health-care reform in seventeen pages. Make insurance available to anyone even with pre-existing conditions with a rider if appropriate. Cut the ER nonsense, i.e. frequent flyers, baby factories, drunks, etc except for life threatening care to all. Make "good" insurance available.
Everyone pays something.

I don´t believe this at face value. If any dems are condemning Obamacare it´s to save their own skin in the next election, not because they´re really against the government taking over a huge segment of the economy.
I´m a big believer in the theory of random selection in nature and it´s ill effects it thrusts on some people while others thrive, unscathed.
Obamacare was constructed to exclude as many left leaning people as possible from paying into it.I mean there was over a 100 carve outs before the ink was dry..Even so,by simple random selection,Obama supporters are going to get hit by the unfathomable costs of this scheme. My guess is Obama hopes that 50%+1 benefits for free.
States are broke from medicaid and are caving into Obamacare but then who supplies the money to the feds? This is a simple cost shift from state taxpayers to federal taxpayers or having to borrow more money.

The Gang of Eight — four Democratic and four Republican U.S. senators — have been meeting behind closed doors since January to produce “comprehensive immigration reform.” That will mean a multi-thousand-page bill that no one reads. You know the saying “fool me twice.” Americans got bamboozled in 2010, when the 2,572 page Obama health law was rushed through Congress unread. The surprises buried in that law are causing havoc. Let’s not repeat the mistake of “comprehensive” reform. Congress needs to fix immigration one step at a time, passing individual bills in plain English on border security, hiring, access to benefits

WASHINGTON—Senate Democrats are expected to defeat on Thursday a Republican effort to block gun-control legislation, paving the way for the full chamber to take up the issue for the first time since the December shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. A bipartisan group of negotiators working on expanding background checks for gun buyers also appeared poised to announce a deal at a joint news conference Wednesday. An aide close to the talks said Tuesday night that they were working out legislative language. Democrats appeared to have the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster and bring the gun bill

Denver-based CNN journalist Jim Spellman says the total lack of media coverage of the legal travails faced by Fox News reporter Jana Winter for protecting her sources clearly demonstrates an anti-Fox News bias in the press. Spellman claimed in a tweet that if Winter, who faces a subpoena and potential contempt of court charges for protecting her sources, worked for the New York Times instead of Fox News, the case would be garnering far greater exposure. “Observation: If @janawinter, who may go to jail to protect sources, worked for @nytimes instead of @FoxNews the case would be huge,” Spellman tweeted Sunday night.

In the U.K., private ownership of firearms is virtually banned. Professional criminals can still get guns, of course, but for your typical thug, knives are the weapon of choice. Thus there has been a steady outpouring of concern over burgeoning “knife crime” in recent years. Obama will release his budget this week, and we already know that he´s going to try to stake out a treacherous "middleground" as he attempts to cast himself as a bold centrist, willing to stand apart from leftist Democrats. He´ll do so by, reportedly, introducing a Chained CPI, which is a way of cutting Social Security by using a different inflation measure that won´t rise as much. Liberals are already livid. Congressman Jerry Nadler — who is part of the Democratic party´s Progressive Caucus — slammed the reports in a comment made on Friday: I am quite concerned by reports

While politicians talk about expanding background checks for gun owners, I’m starting to think that what we really need are IQ tests for political officeholders. The only problem is, that might leave us with a lot of vacancies in Congress and America’s statehouses. The debacle over New York’s rushed-through gun bill is one example of what happens when enthusiasm meets stupid. But another is to be found in Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), who supports a ban on full-capacity magazines without understanding what a magazine actually is. Last week, DeGette justified her position this way: “I will tell you these are ammunition,

Secretary of State John Kerry is worth some $200 million, give or take a yacht. So his decision to slap a 5% pay cut on himself in solidarity with government employees squeezed by sequestration won’t likely hurt him much. But he’s saving taxpayers another way, too — if unintentionally. And it’s downright troubling. How else is Kerry saving money? He’s failing to hire folks to fill key spots at his agency. Terrific. Think about it: With the North Koreans threatening nuclear strikes against America — and Kerry himself preparing to visit South Korea this week — wouldn’t it be a tad helpful

Zero Hedge reported: This was the biggest monthly increase in people dropping out of the labor force since January 2012, when the BLS did its census recast of the labor numbers. And even worse, the labor force participation rate plunged from an already abysmal 63.5% to 63.3% - the lowest since 1979!But at least it helped with the now painfully grotesque propaganda

His place in the history books, as the leader of the Republican revolution, has long been established. Going with his parental gut, President Obama applauded in 2011 when Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius barred girls under 17 from obtaining the morning-after pill without a prescription. He pictured 10- and 11-year-olds buying pregnancy prevention medicine as easily as bubble gum and drew a line. “As the father of two daughters, it makes sense to apply some common sense,” the President said. Now, a Brooklyn federal judge has ruled that moms and dads — including the ones in the White House — are owed no legal say over whether very young daughters can pop a hormonal contraceptive

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

"Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble.
