Obama: Government has to
stop discouraging marriage

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

As President Obama offered proposals to build “ladders of opportunity,” he suggested that many problems in Chicago trace back to the absence of strong families in the city. Obama placed the remarks in a very personal context. “I wish I’d had a father around, who was involved,” he said, after acknowledging the “heroic” women who raise children alone. “Loving supportive parents . . . those parents supporting kids — that’s the single most important thing. Unconditional love for your child — that makes a difference.” He suggested that a lack of role models plays into the

Women in same sex relationships raising kids won´t like this either. But Obama is right for once. Sons and daughters both need a dad and a mom.

If unmarried women on welfare lost handout money for each baby after the first they would either get married or stop having babies. The marriages might not work out, but if even a few did it would help.

First time in five years he says anything about need for strong families. First black President has no desire to attack the underlying problem in black American conditions. It might result in their conditions improving to the point where they don´t need the government or Demorat Party. THAT cannot be tolerated.

It´s really a shame because Obama is THE GUY who could be ranting and raving about the breakdown of the black family and how it is the cause for ridiculous levels of poverty, murder and mayhem, not racism.

Hey Obama, you´re not running for office again. I know it doesn´t play to your base, but why don´t you make this your #1 talking point for the next four years. I would have a lot more respect for you. A child needs a mother and a father. Just say it. Every week.

Republicans ramp up planning to replace

The Republican Party´s rising Senate prospects are forcing House Republicans to craft a health care agenda that could function as a feasible legislative blueprint for overhauling Obamacare in January 2015. The Republican-controlled House has approved legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act and reform aspects of the law several times, only to see the bills die in a Democratic-led Senate that is committed to preserving the law. That dynamic would change if Republicans win six Democratic-held seats and assume control of the Senate in November, as appears increasingly possible. Postal employees have spent thousands of taxpayer dollars on gambling, bills and other personal expenses, according to a series of reports by the U.S. Postal Service inspector general. Federal employees may use government credit cards for official travel expenses, but some used theirs to withdraw cash before hitting casinos. Nearly a dozen reports on closed travel card theft investigations were obtained by the Washington Examiner in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. One manager, who was not identified in the report, used her travel card to withdraw $32,000 in cash so she could gamble, according to the inspector
