Obama waging an
´endless campaign´

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Niall Stanage & Amie Parnes

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 2/15/2013 2:30:12 PM

President Obama will never again be an election candidate but, for now at least, he has the look — and the rhetorical sound — of a man on the campaign trail. Thursday brought the latest example, with a rally-style event in Decatur, Ga., intended to build support for the administration’s proposals on pre-K education. It was preceded by a similar stop in Asheville, N.C., to advocate for manufacturing plans, and two major speeches — the State of the Union and the second inaugural address — that were notable for their vigorous liberal tone.

Comments:
I really don´t know how we are going to be able to deal with this feckless, worthless Marxist for four more years. Rush had a theory today about why 0bama never gets blamed for his incompetence. In essence he stated that 0bama is always campaigning, never governs and is given endless cover by the media he isn´t blamed for what happens. I think he is absolutely right.

Isn´t one of the big reasons for O´s "endless campaign" that he mainly likes giving a telepromptered talk in front of a thousand fans? Why else would he spend needless hours on AF1 out and back from Andrews AFB?

Barack creates a crises through stealth policy then travels the country acting like a man against the very outcome he has created. It worked beautifully last November. It`ll work for whomever is the next progressive candidate in 2016 too.

The reality is that campaigning is the only thing Obama really knows how to do. This foolish country has elected a hollow man with no skills to govern whatsoever! I don´t know if we will ever recover from Obama.

Yes, it´s all he knows how to do, and it´s all that Alinskyites do.

Actually governing, through consensus, is hard work, and you can´t issue proclamations (Executive Orders) telling the peasants what to do.

He has never swayed those who do not agree with him and those who do don´t pay attention.

I can´t get over the amount of $$ it has to cost to haul his skinny butt all over this country. I personally think he is trying to bankrupt us as quickly as he can and $185,000/hour on AF-1 is helping. This weekend we have both AF-1 and AF-2 hauling them around. Plus their entourage, vehicles, helicopters, kids, dog, FRIENDS, Voodoo Granny and God only knows who/what else.

President Obama golfed on Saturday with former NBA player Alonzo Mourning and sportscaster Ahmad Rashad after discussing the military tensions in Ukraine with foreign leaders. The commander-in-chief skipped out of Washington this weekend to vacation with his family in Key Largo, Fla. The White House said Obama placed calls to leaders in countries such as Britain, France, Italy, Lithuania, Latvian and Estonia before he hit the links. Obama and the sports figures were joined by Cyrus Walker, who is the cousin of White House adviser Valerie Jarrett. The president has teamed up with Mourning during several recent trips to Florida. Zaid Jilani, a former blogger with the left-wing think tank Center for American Progress, explained this week how the Obama administration frequently tries to censor the progressive organization’s content when it departs from the White House’s agenda. Jiliani was reacting to two on-air protests by journalists opposed to Russia’s invasion of southern Ukraine. The two worked for Russia Today (RT) — an English-speaking media outlet funded directly by Moscow — and felt their bosses were trying to censor their opinions. In a post titled, ”How Working in Washington Taught Me We’re All A Little Like RT America,” Jilani explained how

President Barack Obama believes in the central argument of modern progressivism, according to Dinesh D´Souza. Speaking at CPAC on Friday, the star of 2016: Obama´s America said that Obama did not create American progressivism, but was instead deeply shaped by it and its "moral attack on capitalism." And that is why it is a mistake to brush him off as a bumbling amateur. Obama, he said, knows exactly what he is doing. "The point about Obama is that he is someone who wants to shrink America´s footprint in the world," he said. "He wants to remake America." Modern progressives like Obama, D´Souza said, believe

You would think that MSNBC hosts might not want to invite Bill Press on their shows to talk about supposedly inflammatory conservative rhetoric, given Press’s track record of vile left-wing bile. But on Thursday, host Al Sharpton once again invited Press onto PoliticsNation to discuss what the reverend called conservatives’ “ugly, very ugly attacks on the president over the crisis in Ukraine.” [Video below. Sixty-five percent of people support the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline between the United States and Canada, a new poll finds. A Washington Post-ABC News poll released Friday shows only 22 percent are opposed to the project. The poll shows there has been little movement in support or opposition to the pipeline in the last year. A Pew poll last April found 66 percent backed construction. Majorities of every political party back the pipeline, with Republicans most in favor. Eighty-two percent of Republicans back the effort, while 65 percent of independents and 51 percent of Democrats feel the same.

Last summer, AFSA filed a Freedom of Information Act request for “Certificates of Demonstrated Competence” that the State Department fills out and submits to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee before nomination hearings. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa joined Megyn Kelly Thursday night to react to the uproar over him cutting off Elijah Cummings‘ mic during a contentious IRS hearing, saying that accusations he was “racist” are just “beneath response.” Issa suggested Cummings’ outburst was a “pre-staged event,” but Kelly asked, “Who cares? So, Lois Lerner still won´t talk about her role in the illegal targeting and harassment by the IRS of conservative and Tea Party groups seeking 501(c)(4) tax exemptions. Lerner appeared for a second time Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and claimed her Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate herself. It isn´t hard to figure out why Lerner´s lips are sealed. First, she knows the House of Representatives can cite her for contempt of Congress, but Attorney General Eric Holder would decide whether she is prosecuted on that charge. Lerner need not worry since President Obama has

During his speech to the CPAC crowd on Thursday, Sen. Via Matt Lewis, here’s Maverick once again demonstrating that “cordial relationship” in politico-speak means “two people who can’t publicly admit to hating each other but obviously do.” And it’s a cheap shot. Cruz’s point yesterday at CPAC was that Dole, McCain, and Romney lost because they weren’t conservative enough. That’s not because they’re gutless — he said specifically that they were “good” and “decent” men — but because they’re not committed, full-throated ideologues, even less so when they’re fighting for purple states in a national election. We can debate whether that’s true but there’s nothing offensive in raising the subject.

What’s been said of confession — that it is good for one’s soul but bad for one’s reputation — can also be true of testifying to Congress, so Lois Lerner has chosen to stay silent. Hers, however, is an eloquent silence. The most intrusive and potentially most punitive federal agency has been politicized; the IRS has become an appendage of Barack Obama’s party. Furthermore, congruent with exhortations from some congressional Democrats, it is intensifying its efforts to suffocate groups critical of progressives, by delaying what once was the swift, routine granting of tax-exempt status. So, the IRS, far from repenting

One of the most seismic changes in American politics over the last decade has been the emergence of a sharp generational split among the electorate. The Democratic Party owes its success in the last two presidential elections almost entirely to overwhelming support among the very young, which has overcome continued conservatism among older voters. The Pew Research Institute has dominated the field of exploring the ideological cleavages among different generations. And its latest survey shows again how the liberalism of the youngest voting cohort, millennials, remains firm, and likely to continue to recast the electorate. A few charts from the survey

Barack Obama´s parents were "married in name only," according to David Maraniss´s 2012 Barack Obama: The Story. But since definitions of an "in name only" marriage vary, such as "a marriage of convenience" or "a sexless marriage," and Maraniss failed to explain his claim, it is unclear what he was implying. Therefore, Obama´s oft-told nativity story must be searched for the full implications of Obama´s parents´ "in name only" marriage.
