| President Obama didn’t make any phone calls the night of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the White House said in a letter to Congress released Thursday. “During the entire attack, the president of the United States never picked up the phone to put the weight of his office in the mix,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, who had held up Mr. Obama’s defense secretary nominee to force the information to be released. Mr. Graham said that if Mr. Obama had picked up the

Not only lash the TAARP Baby with this, but drag the Badministration through the dirt so even Hill-err-ee-ass Herself is tainted by Benghazi for the long term.
Witch-slap them and make them pay for these murders and their egregious negligence.
Somebody wake up Bob Dole and pull his cord so he can say, "Where´s the outrage???" Okay, thanks Bob, now back to sleep.

It is my sincere hope that should Obama ever find himself in a similar situation US troops would rush in to save him. Because 1)he is the President of the United States; and 2)because he may be a US citizen. Once he is safely back home he could then be put on trial for the deaths of the four Americans.
I am still wondering/confused/questioning why we have heard nothing/zip/nada from the other Americans who were in Benghazi. Why is this?

What has happened to the Father of the soldier who was killed in Benghazi ? He was a prominent fixture in the news stories early on, even accusing the administration of "murder" I believe. What has happened to him ?

Since the current excuse is abiding by local law... that makes Obama´s lack of involvement even more repulsive.
Hillary & Obama went about their usual schedule as both were assuming Stevens was being kidnapped by the Mo Bro´s, as pre-arranged... so Obama could trade the blind sheik or him. Islamo´s on the ground preferred to rape & torture Stevens instead.
And neither seems to have any remorse.

Please! We all know what Dear Leader was doing that night - He was caring, caring about so many things. And in between caring so very much about so many things, He focused like a laser on jobs. After falling asleep, exhausted from so much caring and focusing on jobs, Dear Leader dreamed - He dreamed of a better, more equitable tomorrow for all Americans. It´s all too wonderful.
How dare anyone demand that Dear Leader make phone calls, when He is so busy caring, focusing and dreaming - for us!

AND NBC, CBS, ABC et al. are so little concerned that they are not even mentioning the story, let alone the fact that Harry Reid and other Dems fought tooth and nail re: several of Bush´s picks. The days of a truth finding Press are long gone, which is probably why the ratings are also down to a pittance. Who could possibly respect a Brian Williams?

As to poster #3, Obama is NOT a product of affirmative action. He was well-heeled via his grandparents, as well as connected, and went to the best schools, also with help from various Democrats who saw a future for him. He was also protected re: any acknowledgement of his grades, his law license (handed back but why; ditto Michelle´s), his "professorship", and his iffy friends. The PRESS is responsible for these omissions and they should be held in contempt.

The Tar Baby represents a situation from which you cannot extricate yourself, not a person. It isn´t a racist epithet. Like the briar patch, which represents your comfort zone, its from Song of the South, a collection of children´s stories. I wish people who have not read them would stop referring to Obama this way. It isn´t clever. And I think at 90 we can let Bob Dole retire.

Rush is onto something. Obama only campaigns. He doesn´t govern. That way he can play outsider and no blame is ever attached to him or his policies.

In the law enforcement business, this is called "copping a plea". Basically, you plead guilty to a lesser charge so the investigation into the bigger charge (the one with the prison term attached) gets dropped and they stop investigating. That´s what Obammy is doing. He´s basically pleading guilty to incompetence and having no heart for Americans who were dying valiantly and horribly. He´s pleading guilty to that charge in exchange for Congress (and the people) dropping the other charges that would have him impeached for not performing his job and for running guns to Turkey. Basically, he´s asking the court of public opinion to give him a pass and release him back into the general population. He feels he paid a fine and now he´s done. The Lo-Infos will agree.

The more I think about what posters 7 and 8 said the more it makes perfect sense that these two traitors, Zero and the "Smartest Woman in the World" thought this was all part of the covert operation that would end up trading Stevens for the Blind Sheik. Otherwise, why would they tell the Navy Seals to stand down and not help these guys? Why would they not even attempt to get military assets that are stationed only a few hours away from this hell hole to save these people? If they did send help, that would have blown everything. And indeed, when the Seals disobeyed the stand down, they blew the entire thing. The spinless Republicans need to keep pressing and pressing and this has to be made public. Because if it is, this is definitely an impeachable offense for both Zero and Hillary. Although with the corrupt medial, impeachment will never happen.

Our focus here is on assigning appropriate blame to this Badministration for the horrors it is committing and that it is hoping to get away with even now.
Some of the angles presented here by those posting are pretty interesting, and should be further explored, preferably by our elected officials.
Focusing elsewhere is a less productive pursuit, but we can multitask, and the following should be obvious to many... we had a program called TARP, and we have an organization called AARP. Put them together and you can say TAARP.
I actually knew Bob Dole. I am certain he will appreciate the acknowledgement of his signature campaign line from 1996. This Benghazi controversy makes you wonder when someone in Washington will revive Dole´s line... "Where´s the outrage???!!!"

I agree with posters 7, 8 & 41. Ever since that explanation was put forward in mid-October it has seemed like the most plausible explanation for all of the facts. And as more facts have come out, none of them have contradicted it, thereby increasing its plausibility.
Poster #4 asks (paraphrasing): why haven´t we heard anything from the other Americans who were in Benghazi? That’s a great question, which leads me to a few more questions:
Have any pictures or other evidence been provided that prove that Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were actually killed by a mortar round fired by the terrorists?
If not, could they have been killed by “friendly fire” (a CIA operative?) for disobeying orders and screwing up the whole kidnapping, prisoner exchange for the blind sheik plan?
Why haven´t any of the Americans who were rescued from Benghazi been called to testify before Congress? Where are they?
Maybe they’re being held at some undisclosed location because they know the inconvenient truth about what really happened.
I wouldn’t put it past the compulsive-liar-in-chief, the Queen of Cover-ups... errr... I mean “Secretary of State – the BEST ONE EVER!!!!! (gag)”, Hillary, or their “flying-monkey” minions.

Now we know. If someone calls the White House in the middle of the night, no one answers!

Obozo has similiar electronic system... phone message crap is misdirection response, he doesnt need to talk .. Only the pResident can order a stand down of the military... He did so 3 times in 7 hours until the 4 were dead... Benghazi was not a consulate it was a CIA gun running shop to Syria terroist ... this is why he did nothing to protect.. Obozo not only did Obozo do nothing for Benghazi he fired two staff officers (4 star) in the theater for trying to help ... TREASON IMPEACH

I fully expect him to disappoint when it comes to the full Hagel vote, but for now, I´ll give him the credit for keeping this issue alive. I wish only that our - OUR! - Commander-in-Chief had thought so much as to keep those men alive.
By the way, anyone - how is this nor outright murder? Or conspiracy to commit? Or 2nd degree?
And just moments ago, I see a clip of Louie Gohmert making his House floor speech on this issue, so I´m thankful somebody over there knows about this too - NOT surprised it´s Gohmert. But I would not use the word ´impassioned´ to describe his speech demeanor. What´s up with that?

I can´t decide which is more evil; a President who can go to bed while Americans are begging for help at the hands of savage barbarians and do nothing to intervene on their behalf, or the media who will not seriously and objectively investigate this tragedy.
There are so many unanswered questions but apparently no one wants to press the issue hard enough to get answers. The Republicans have let the democrats close the book on this matter. When Mrs. Clinton got away with shouting, "What difference, at this point, does it matter" and there was no outrage, I knew nothing was going to come of the investigation. The preening pampered princes in Washington could not even manage to ask a simple question and then follow up on it. By allowing her to give non-answers and filibuster, they let her off the hook. We are now to move on and be satisfied with the hearings. Our government failed to protect these men and then failed miserably in providing answers to the families.

The Navy Seals a mile away wouldnt have responded if shots werent heard. Obama is naive to think the Muslim Brotherhood would keep a promise.
Therefore, the Teleprompter wasnt scripted for the late night call. Obama doesnt know or understand military protocols- nor does he care. The military is for show and serving drinks at his parties.
We are all Navy Seals- we should be worried about our own children in studies overseas. Will our government help in an emergency?

This falls into the category of "high crimes and misdemeanors." The president shirked his constitutional duty to protect our diplomatic personnel, whom he and his secretary of state had recklessly sent into Benghazi.

Compare the noncoverage of Benghazi to the long-running media furor over the Plame nothingburger, where not only did no one die or even risk dying, but the woman was a deskjockey at Langley in plain sight. Everyone knew she worked at the CIA, including presumably any foreign government that cared to know. Yet even though it really did not matter, and even though the Bush Adm. had too much class to say "what does it matter," if they had, would such an exclamation have received the favorable reaction Hillary did?

This was talked about on the panel last night with Bret Baier, #4 and #45. They asked each other about all the other people who were involved in the Benghazi fight - where are they and why hasn´t anyone heard from any of them? Do we know where they are? The panelists all said no. Doesn´t this make you wonder - have they been threatened by the admin not to speak out or come forward for fear of reprisal, or job loss, or demotion? There are many who know more about what happened, about the requests for security, for aid, all of it.

In 1927, Jozef Stalin summoned the Russian neurologist Bekhterev to give a medical examination of the dictator. Later that day, Bekhterev returned to a medical meeting and told colleagues, "I have just examined a paranoiac with a short, dry hand." Stalin´s left arm was shorter and weaker than the other. The following day, Bekhterev was poisoned and died. He was killed for calling Stalin a "paranoiac." He did not mention Stalin by name, but his medical colleagues knew exactly whom he was talking about. Writing in European Neurology, the historian Juerg

Is the Constitution becoming the left´s new target? That thought struck me the other night over dinner with my liberal friend, a lawyer and part-time professor. Among his choice statements, "Maybe it´s time to get rid of the Constitution and start over." No doubt he was echoing the sentiments of Georgetown law professor, Louis Michael Seidman, who suggested just that in a New York Times op-ed. It´s been several weeks since Seidman made his remarks, and now, it appears, the floodgates are open. Liberals feel they can speak freely about their true intentions for our country.

For the first time in my adult life, I am not proud of the First Lady. Mrs. Obama is frequently compared to Marie Antoinette. She spends hundreds of millions of dollars a year on her own pleasure and aggrandizement while urging the peasants to plant gardens. And for the first time in American history, we have a president who insults us across the world, disavows the idea that American is special, enriches our enemies such as the Muslim Brotherhood, and degrades our achievements ("You didn´t build that."). Metaracism instilled in the Obamas the tragedy of ingratitude.

Obama now reigns over Versailles on the Potomac. And America´s taxpayers are the vassals who bankroll the opulence of King Louis-Barack and Michelle Antoinette." Deroy Murdock (Hoover Institute, Scripts Howard) nails it in his National Review article. King Louis-Barack and his family really know how to share your pain. The "we´re all in this together" seer of America´s hope and change takes our bucks and we keep the change. "Let them eat lentils" is Michelle Antoinette´s airy solution to her growing food-stamp constituency (is M-Antoinette embarrassed at the girth of her loyal cohort?).

According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals "to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving." "The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per

The lousy March jobs report jolted financial markets Friday, and understandably so. In a trend that has defined this weakest of all modern economic recoveries, the jobless rate keeps falling but largely because the labor force keeps shrinking. The unemployment rate fell to a new four-year low of 7.6%, from 7.7% in February. Good news, except the main reason for the decline was that nearly half a million Americans (496,000) left the civilian labor force. They retired, quit working, went back to school or gave up looking for work. The economy created a net 88,000 new jobs

White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday that the administration wouldn´t be surprised if North Korea followed through on threats to launch a missile. "We´ve obviously seen the reports that North Korea may be making preparations to launch a missile. We´re monitoring this situation closely, and we would not be surprised to see them take such an action," Carney said during a press briefing. "We have seen them launch missiles in the past and the United Nations Security Council has repeatedly condemned them as violations of the North’s obligations under numerous Security Council resolutions,

THE elementary-school shootings in Newtown, Conn., in December produced two polar public reactions: fear among some Americans that the federal government will restrict gun rights, and hope among others that it will actually do so. Colorado, New York State and, most recently, Connecticut have clamped down on guns, while states like Texas, where I live, are considering legislation that would try to block the enforcement of federal gun regulations. The uncertain approach to guns is good for no one, except perhaps for gunmakers, whose sales have skyrocketed. Lost in this confusion and anxiety is the possibility

A Connecticut shop that sold a gun to the Newtown school shooter´s mother has lost its federal firearms license. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives revoked the license of Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor, about 15 miles north of Hartford, on December 20, and the 60-day time frame to appeal has expired. The agency didn´t disclose why it revoked the license. ´It´s been revoked. It´s final at this point,´ is all ATF spokeswoman Deb Seifert would tell reporters. It was first reported Thursday by The Journal News of White Plains, N.Y.

Politics: Democrats were quick to blame the anemic March jobs number on the "sequester" spending cuts. If that were the case, what explains the previous four years of lousy job growth under Obama? At 88,000, the jobs growth in March was well below expectations. And while the unemployment rate dropped, that was the result of hundreds of thousands dropping out of the labor force who as a result aren´t counted as unemployed. Democrats, of course, tried to pin the blame for this on Republicans for allegedly pushing austerity measures. White House economic adviser Alan Krueger complained

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look
