Kerry Provoked by North Korea´s
Provocative Provocation

Weekly Standard, by Gabriel Schoenfeld

Original Article

With the detonation of a North Korean nuclear device on Monday, Secretary of State John Kerry has been grappling with his first crisis. Here are his comments in a press avail yesterday. With respect to the DPRK, President Obama made it crystal clear last night and previously in all comments, as have other countries, that North Korea’s nuclear weapons and ballistic missile program are a threat now to the United States of America, because of what they are pursuing specifically, as well as to global security and peace.Following their latest provocation, which we have termed

Comments:
This statement reads exactly as Kerry talks, just blathering on.

And just as it is impermissible for North Korea to pursue this kind of reckless effort, so we have said it is impermissible with respect to Iran. And what our response is with respect to this will have an impact on all other nonproliferation efforts.

And, we know how Iran responded to "impermissible."

Kerry says that he has already made numerous phone calls. The only response to this provocation will be more phone calls since we all know that phone calls are a crucial deterrent to the development of a nuclear weapons program. Should North Korea fail to heed the warning rest assured that we will threaten them with..... yes..... more phone calls. Case closed. The world can sleep well.

The Norks, the Chinese, the Mullahs, and more keep jerking their puppets [Stinky, Hillary!, Kerry, and s-o-o-o many more] around... yet it seems not one puppet has noticed the strings!

So what´s Liveshot gonna do? Tell Li´l Kim he´s not gonna get a ride on the 76 foot "Isabel"? [I was curious, too -- search results say it was given Kerry´s mother´s middle name; seems a pretty weird sourcing of a name for a yacht!] Or a hop on the "Flying Squirrel" to Aspen?

Oh -- did you hear a rumor about Kerry? That he served in Vietnam? You´d think a pol would play that up once in a while.

Awhile ago, my exasperated wife said: “Why don’t you take a week off from bashing the president and write about something else? Anything else.” And I said: “I want to, but he won’t let me. Just when you think he can’t do anything more amateurish than he did last week, bam, he rises to the challenge again and hits new levels of futility and incompetence.” So it is yet again. And this first part is going to sound made-up, but I swear to you it is not. During the 2008 campaign, Sen. Barack Obama traveled the country

BAGHDAD - Gun attacks and a bombing killed at least seven more people in Iraq on Sunday, police said, after a day of carnage aimed mainly at Shi´ite Muslims celebrating the end of Ramadan. The United States condemned a wave of car bombings which police and medical sources said killed nearly 80 people across Iraq on Saturday, saying those who had attacked civilians during Eid al-Fitr festivities were "enemies of Islam". Bombs tore through markets, shopping streets and parks late on Saturday as Iraqi families were out celebrating the end of the Muslim fasting month.

The “phony scandal” at the IRS keeps growing. E-mail correspondence unearthed by the House Ways and Means Committee reveals that Lois Lerner, the figure at the center of the scandal, may have committed a felony by divulging information about a conservative group to the Federal Election Commission, in an incident that dates back at least to 2008, before President Obama took office. Though some conservatives have eagerly sought evidence that Obama’s White House instigated the IRS’s targeting of tea-party groups, the latest evidence suggests that an anti-conservative bias may instead be an endemic feature of the federal bureaucracy.

Despite going on parade with a beautiful woman half his age, 30-year-old entrepreneur Shauna Mei, 68-year-old Gen. Wesley Clark isn’t yet divorced from his wife of 46 years. The retired US Army general and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander filed for divorce from his wife Gertrude Kingston Clark — whom he married in 1966 — last year. But the divorce trial date set for May 1 this year was delayed, sources exclusively tell Page Six, and as of press time, no final divorce was announced, so their negotiations are likely still ongoing. You know things are messed up for the GOP when Gov. Chris Christie is the only Republican who leads Hillary Clinton in Georgia! Christie is at the top of the 2016 Republican presidential scrum and, for the moment, he even leads Sen. Rand Paul in Live Free or Die New Hampshire (PDF). The governor of reliably Blue New Jersey and possessor of an outsize personality, he commands attention. Yet, none of this guarantees Christie the nomination. Electability is not the same as nominability. He just needs to ask another Northeast Catholic executive who was also once deemed electable:

US Secretary of State John Kerry, obviously wiser than all the leaders of Israel as well as every secretary of state who preceded him, is now overseeing the resolution of the longest-running conflict on earth – the conflict between Arabs and Jews. And he and the Obama administration appear quite certain that peace is just around the corner. This unparalleled arrogance is nothing new. The Obama administration has repeatedly strong-armed Israel from the start, perpetuating the myth, believed by many European countries, that Israel takes unnecessary actions that harm the prospects of peace with the “oppressed” Palestinians.

Remarkably, few Republicans are talking about energy; he’d do well to set out a specific energy policy and travel around the country promoting it. 3. Perry has time to prepare
