Former WH Comm Director: War With

Their ‘Alternative Universe’

Remember Anita Dunn, the former White House Communications Director who famously went to war with Fox News back in 2009? Wednesday afternoon, she was back in action, talking with HuffPost Live about why the decision to battle with the most-watched cable news network was a “simple” decision because of Fox’s persistently negative coverage of President Obama, adding that she believes the network’s “alternative reality” is “crumbling.” Readers may recall back in 2009 that Dunn generated controversy when she told TIME magazine that Fox is “opinion journalism masquerading as news.” The comment fueled an already-tense battle between the

Ahh yes, the delightful Mao loving lizard mouth Dunn rears her ugly head. It´s amazing to me this regime has been able to find so many revulsive people.

Over the long haul the White House is winning. Fox has been moving more to the left the past couple of years, and becoming less critical of the administration. We can expect Obama et al to win. They play hardball, the don´t play fair, and they play to win. Most conservatives are unwilling to use the left´s methods, therefore the conservatives are slowly losing the war for the hearts and minds of the American public.

Fox seems to shoot for the middle.

Many of their "Leftists" do a poor job of making their case.

Fidel Beckel, Juanito Williams, Allen Colmes ?

Hardly Bertrand Russel and Gore Vidal.

I used to be addicted to FNC, but Roger Ailes is creating a vacuum with the drift leftward. That vacuum will be filled. There are alternate possibilities via internet streaming. Even News Corp has an investment in Roku. I find foxnews.com often more satisfying and in-depth than it´s cable/satellite big brother. There´s room to filter out the gratuitous "fair and balanced" panels and offer more conservative programming based around the main FNC offerings.

As to Ms. Dunn, I still can´t get past her "Mao is my hero" speech with the dry-tongue smacking. Give that woman some water.

What´s she saying is that Fox should get the Lawrence O´Donnell and Sgt. Schultz types...they are the truth tellers. Oh, and also that gal that thought the coming asteroid might be caused by global warming. That´s the kind of thinking Fox needs.

My alternate universe is thinking that someone that sold us a healthcare bill by saying that it will save families $2500, which now,of course, will COST families an additional $2500 to @3000 (CBO) was lying. Or that there were ´shovel-ready´ jobs when there weren´t, and laughed about it! Or saying they were going to put all bills on line ahead of the boat, but didn´t. Do you think MSNBC would call Obama on that? I must have missed it.

I agree with #15. If anyone knows of a serious network that IS Conservative 24/7, please let me know. Until then it would be suicide to let FNC fail just to prove a point. That´s called "cutting off your nose to spite your face". At least it used to be called that, back in the day. The ONLY "crumbling" are the careers of leftists like the detestable Ms. Mao-Dunn and the rest of them. The garbage=pravda-networks have enough control right now. Seriously.

I have watched for years, and sorry, the idea that Fox is crumbling is almost as stupid as the idea that Fox is "moving to the left".

Hannity´s show used to be both him and Colmes...Colmes had his own show but failed. Fox presents both sides, as they all have. O´Reilly has never been Mr. Ultra Conservative. Their news reporting is very fair.

Their ratings are stellar, and even with capturing all the airports and other public areas, CNN rates lower.

Everyone knows what Fox is, and no one remembers Anita Dunn, sorry Kirell.

Two days after a shocking defeat, liberals are still grousing about the Senate spiking the nomination of former NAACP Legal Fund Director Debo Adegbile to be head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. WASHINGTON — In late December, President Barack Obama´s new legislative affairs team sent him more than a dozen recommendations for ways to improve his strained relations with Capitol Hill. One of the most seismic changes in American politics over the last decade has been the emergence of a sharp generational split among the electorate. The Pew Research Institute has dominated the field of exploring the ideological cleavages among different generations. And its latest survey shows again how the liberalism of the youngest voting cohort, millennials, remains firm, and likely to continue to recast the electorate. A few charts from the survey

Hi, everybody. This week, I traveled to New England, where I was joined by four governors who are working to raise the minimum wage in each of their states. And they’ve also joined me in calling on Congress to raise the minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour. Because it would give nearly 800,000 Americans in their states a raise — and lift wages for about 28 million across the country. So these governors aren’t waiting for Congress to make up its mind. And in my State of the Union Address, I asked America’s business leaders to go ahead and do what they could to raise their employees’ wages, too.
