I am a Florida voter and it took me about 5 minutes in the voting booth, which included voting for/against the 11 amendments. That´s because I had studied the issues and had a marked up ballot with me so I didn´t hold up the line. And Zippy loves to paint negatives with a broad brush.

Long lines? So what. Put up with it if you want to vote. No one promised you anything.

I can´t believe the story. I can´t believe that Americans wouldn´t allow a 102 year old lady to go to the front of the line.

I have the freedom to be able to vote at off hours and never encounter long lines. But on those few occasions when I have voted during the busiest times, I have never had to wait more than twenty minutes to get to the check in table. O, as usual, is lying.

I guess when you´re a Democrat voting six or seven times, you probably have a six hour wait.

You know, go to polling place #1, vote (about 20 minutes). Get in your car, drive to the next precinct (maybe 30 minutes), find a parking space, pull out that next voter registration card or work on your story why you should vote here (another 10 minutes), walk in and vote (probably a little less than before because you just click the Democrat straight party ticket), and repeat.

Once you´ve done this about 7 times, it´s probably about 6 hours later.

No early voting. Any requests for absentee ballots MUST have valid reasons, enumerated in the law and all absentee ballots returned MUST be notarized, with the exception of military ballots.

I personally know of too many cases where absentee ballots are sent to long term care facilities (nursing homes), taken and filled out by unionized staff members under the SEIU umbrella, and returned. The only time the voter saw the ballot was to sign it, if he/she could.

I planned for a long wait when I went to vote so took a book with me. The lines were very long, but within minutes a poll worker made an announcement that any disabled or over age 70 people could come to the front and get in a different much shorter line. I was out of there in minutes and would bet this was the case almost everywhere.

One wonders if she had any idea for whom she was voting.

There were evidently long lines in FL because there were 11 amendments on the ballot. And evidently most people had not read them previously so they were having to read each one, try to figure out what it was about and then mark the ballot. So it´s not all the fault of the state. Much information was presented in the newspapers prior to the election so if they had been paying attention, there wouldn´t have needed to be long lines. Floriduh voters come thru again!

The most important line is to "modernize our voter registration system." I don´t think that´s what Obama has in mind.

I rather doubt that this lady even remembers voting, let alone a long wait. Personally, I think anyone who would wait "six or seven" hours to vote must have rocks in their head. Go early or during the work day (I assume this lady didn´t have a job). There are always times when the polls are less crowded.

I´m 80 and I have voted every tome I was eligible, and I can hoestly say that the longest line I have waite in was at the DMV...

At rush hours my polls have long lines, I have no idea how long the wait is, but I´m sure it´s at least 30 minutes at worst.

This is a democrat scam to get early voting accepted everywhere. Instant registration and then get them on an SEIU bus that will ferry these people back and forth to the polls for days on end. I´ve stated before that Alinsky taught that because our forefathers gave everyone (even the insane, illiterate and deranged) the right to vote they needed to harvest the apathetic and apolitical among them. The ones who never voted in the past were enticed to vote by community organizers. That is why Obama is pushing it.

Early voting should be outlawed. I think that´s where a lot of voter fraud is being made. Why are there long lines??? Get more voting booths, more front line people that do the paperwork, etc. There should not be a big problem with that. Get some of the city officials to man the desks. The only reason there´s long lines is because there´s not enough ´´stuff´´ to accommodate the crowds. It´s not that difficult to figure out, people. But NO EARLY VOTING - AND I.D. CHECK FOR EVERYONE!!!! We need honest voting not what we had in the last fraudulent election.

Of course there are long voting lines. The illegals still trapped in Mexico have to walk a really long way to get to an America voting booth.

There is no reason for anyone to wait more than a half hour at the most congested times. At our precinct we had some elderly folks sitting down while the person that was behind them saved their place. Some kind hearted people even allowed them in line before their turn. It isn´t that big of a deal as most people are very accommodating to these folks. Voting machines can even be taken out to the parking lot for voters who cannot get in and out of the car easily. As usual Barack Hussein Obama is making up stuff. OK, he´s a liar.

I have friends who worked the polls in Cincinnati. A well dressed black man arrived at an inner city voting area. He had no ID but wanted to vote under a name like Althea or some woman´s name. His only ID was an electric bill with Althea´s name on it. He was not allowed to be questioned whether or not that was his name. I realized all kinds of people have all kinds of names but this is only one example of something rather odd that went on that day.

What Florida and other states with 5-10 page ballots need to do is adjust their elections; National one year, State the next. In VA that seems to keep the ballots short. We also hold our local elections in June where I live, I am not sure it is statewide. Voila, you have short lines which move quickly.

How can someone in CA know how good the system is in FL when FL like PA, than more votes than voters ?
