Rand Paul for the Tea Party:
Only in D.C. could $7 trillion
more spending be called a cut

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

Good Evening. I speak to you tonight from Washington, D.C. The state of our economy is tenuous, but our people remain the greatest example of freedom and prosperity the world has ever known. People say America is exceptional. [Snip] America is exceptional because we were founded upon the notion that everyone should be free to pursue life, liberty and happiness. For the first time in history, men and women were guaranteed a chance to succeed based their own initiative and desire to work.

Thoughtful. Constitutional. Pro-America.

Well said.

If only a few more Congressman besides this boy, Cruz and Rubio would stand up and say this. I used to call the Congress the "535 Criminals". Now I have to say the "532 Criminals."

Congress is totally disconnected from reality. They have now made themselves into a ruling class statists if you will, who believe that they can run our lives better than we can based on ideology.

The problem for the Republican Establishment is that Google exists and anyone with access to a computer can see for themselves that they have been gaming their constituents for many a year now.

There is a reason why they keep losing the war on government growth and spending. They are as addicted to it as the democrat party and thus they do not want to win it.

The Republican Establishment generals will continue to purposely leak their own battle plans, sabotage equipment, give the position of their hidden forces, even frag their own soldiers in effort to make sure the war is never won, at least, by them.

The only threat to them is actual victory.

Got Tea?

All we need to know about DC is to look at the reaction of Congress as Obama walked into the building last night. Politicians falling all over themselves to shake this man`s hand, greeting him like a pack of 13 year old school girls fawning over their latest pop star hero, pen in hand anxiously pining for an autograph.

The display was sickening to the core. Rome has burned. All that is left is the direction the wind will blow the ashes.

I don´t understand why the newsmedia and the American people are not in a screaming panic.
Here´s the math.

We have a deficit of 1.5 trillion. That means we are spending that much more every year than we take in. We can´t keep doing that indefinitely. At some point the lenders are going to stop lending. Right now if the lenders were to stop lending - the country ends.(The states secede and form new countries among themselves.)

Math shows we only get 0.4 trillion from the rich but they will just move their money to avoid paying and anyway that´s not nearly enough. The Democrats like to talk about taxing the rich but there aren´t enough rich and they aren´t rich enough to solve this problem.

The only place to get more money is from the typical wage earner. 50k$ to 150k$ per year per family. Assume 50 million families. 1.5 Trillion / 50 million = 30k$ per year in additional taxes.(NOT 30k$ one time BUT 30k$ every year!) Assuming a progressive form of taxation on this group - because the 50k earner can´t possibly pay 30k - means the 100k earner pays 60 to 70k. Most people will be left will 10k to 20k per year to live on. That means pay mortgage, utilities, food, healthcare. Obamacare alone is projected to cost 20k per year.

Conclusion, in order to balance the budget by taxation, the majority of people would not have enough money for food. The budget cannot be balanced by taxes. It must be cut in half.

Last night, Marco Rubio spoke to the heart while Rand Paul spoke to the head. (NerØbama spoke to another part of the anatomy.)

While both Rubio and Paul gave excellent responses, the difference in approach highlights the need for a new conservative party that does not try to be Democrat Lite. When in trouble like our Republic is, it is necessary to set aside emotion and objectively and methodically address the situation at hand. We must get down to brass tacks with clear eyes and determination. That´s how survivors - survive.

A couple of years back Rand did a program by program review of the US budget (back in the days when the President and Senate felt required by law to prepare one) to evaluate the spending based on twin principles: was the spending effective AND did the spending fall within the Constitutional Authority of the federal government. As I recall, he found 600 billion dollars a year that the GAO had declared to be ineffective spending AND were for things outside the authority of the government. This will need to be the approach to reducing spending. We can reduce spending by a penny of each dollar, but we need end the really bad programs right away.

I really like Paul, but he cannot seem to understand that open borders are a material threat to liberty. He would do well to freshen up on the Rise and Fall of Rome. Otherwise, he´s great -- like his Pop it´s clear he cares more about the cause of liberty than being famous.

Hi, I’m Ann Wagner. It’s truly an honor to represent the heartland of our country in St. Louis, Missouri, as a member of the United States Congress. Growing up working in my parents’ carpet store, my daddy used to tell me that your word is your bond. That when your bond is broken; your trust is broken. (Scroll down for video of these full remarks.) Unfortunately, President Obama has broken that bond with the American people, and they no longer can trust his word. It seems like every week there is another broken promise from this administration about ObamaCare. As a candidate for president, then-Senator Barack Obama promised to sign

Hi everybody. In my State of the Union Address, I said that the best measure of opportunity is access to a good job. And after the worst recession of our lifetimes, our businesses have created eight and a half million new jobs in the last four years. But we need to do more to make America a magnet for good jobs for the future. And in this year of action, where Congress won’t do that, I will do whatever I can to expand opportunity for more Americans. This week, I took two actions to attract new jobs to America — jobs in American manufacturing, and jobs rebuilding America’s infrastructure.

A 43% decrease, to be exact. [Snip] The obesity decline among U.S. pre-schoolers is the first optimistic sign in such a major nationwide study. And Obama’s White House was quick to hail Mrs. Obama.

You may have seen news reports about Americans tiring of the war in Afghanistan, now our nation´s longest ever. Not surprising. What is surprising -- and hasn´t been widely noted -- is that it´s taken so long for a U.S. population famously addicted to instant gratification to tire of a deadly war that has so far claimed the lives of 2,313 countrymen and women. In previous wars since 1950 it´s been a mere matter of months before Americans were doubting the reasons for combat.

Hi, I’m Tom Cotton. I’m proud to represent the people of Arkansas in Congress. [Snip] Arkansans, like most Americans, have had their grit tested over the last several years through a financial collapse, recession, and a stagnant, jobless recovery. Barack Obama’s policies aren’t solving these problems — they’re causing the problem. Some people think Monday´s national holiday had something to do with commemorating the birthdays of two of the country´s greatest presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Silly people. Monday was actually the fifth birthday of the stimulus spending bill signed by one of the country´s least great presidents, Barack Hussein Obama. Protecting the dignity and the security our seniors have earned is a commitment that spans generations and party lines. For example, during President Obama´s health care speech to Congress in the fall of 2009, he spoke directly to older Americans. “These steps,” he said, “will ensure that you — America’s seniors — get the benefits you´ve been promised.” Then, during a telephone town hall with seniors from around the country, he said he wanted to respond to what he called “hysterical claims” about his plan. “Here’s the truth..." he said,

President Barack Obama is warning Russia "there will be costs" for any military maneuvers it launches in Ukraine, a move U.S. and Ukrainian officials say they believe to be already underway. Officials say Obama may retaliate by canceling a trip to Russia this summer for an international summit and could also cut off trade discussions with Moscow. But it´s unclear whether those moves will have any impact on Russia´s calculus in Ukraine, which is at the center of what many see as a tug of war between East and West. President Obama´s proclaimed strategy to "bypass Congress" — most conspicuously his broad rewriting of the Affordable Care Act — has given unusual prominence to a fairly arcane legal doctrine: standing. Standing is what is preventing a potential blizzard of litigation against the president´s unilateral decrees, and ironically, it´s a doctrine liberal jurists have long decried. To challenge the government in federal court, it isn´t enough to simply believe that the government´s conduct is illegal or even unconstitutional. Federal courts can hear only specific disputes about the law as applied to particular people. To be heard in court, a person must have
