A knife-wielding attacker killed at least two Japanese tourists and wounded 11 others on Tuesday in a tourist district on the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam, government officials said. The incident took place in Tumon on Guam´s west coast, said Andy Gibson, an official in Gov. Eddie Calvo´s office. Gibson said three people died and 11 suffered injuries in the ordeal. A spokesperson from Japan´s foreign affairs ministry, meanwhile, said that two Japanese tourists were killed and 12 other Japanese were hospitalized.

Comments:
Guam is a US territory.

How many more have to die due to senseless knife violence?

Any word when the President will address the nation about this senseless tragedy?

We need a national knife registery with a 72 hour wait and background check before purchasing a knife in order to stop this senseless violence!

Thank goodness there were other people on the other side of the island when this happened. It might have tipped over and a lot more people would have been killed.

Knife violence killed the Guam victims.
Airplane violence killed the 9/11 victims.
Gun violence killed the Newtown victims.
Poison violence killed the Guyana victims.
Axe violence killed Lizzie Borden´s parents.
Hammer violence killed Donna William´s husband.
Automobile violence killed Clara Thomas´s husband.
Cinder block violence killed Howard Lemaster.
Drowning violence killed Michele McNeill.

In my illustrations above, the offenders were the instruments, not crazy people, causing the death.

So, the guns are the culprits.

An orderly protest over the death of an armed 16-year-old turned into a riot in Brooklyn tonight after young people started lashing out at NYPD officers. Between 60 and 100 rioters gathered around Church and Snyder Ave. in East Flatbush and threw bottles and other debris at police, witnesses said, following a vigil for Kimani Gray, 16, who was shot dead by two plainclothes officers over the weekend. One person has been arrested, though no injuries have been reported. They were lashing out at the NYPD, who they believe are responsible for the teen’s death.

ROCHESTER — Starting April 15, New York will have the smallest gun magazine limit in the country, and all signs indicate no gun makers have plans to accommodate it. Gun manufacturers have never had a reason to make a magazine with fewer than 10 rounds, because no state required it until now. And, as far as local gun dealers and the Democrat and Chronicle have been able to determine, there are no manufacturers planning to make seven-round magazines. This means that in less than two months, gun dealers such as Paul Martin, owner of Pro-Gun Services in Victor…

CHICAGO — A federal appeals court won´t reconsider an earlier ruling that Illinois´ concealed carry ban is unconstitutional. A three-judge panel of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Illinois´ ban in December and gave lawmakers until June 8 to legalize the concealed carry of firearms. Attorney General Lisa Madigan asked for all 10 judges to review the decision, saying it conflicted with decisions by other federal appellate courts and goes beyond what the U.S. Supreme Court has held. Illinois is the only state in the nation that still has a ban in place.

The YouTube clip begins with the man, is not identified, as he takes the mouse to a park in a bin to release it back into the wild. He reaches into the plastic dustbin and tries to coax the small animal out onto the ground covered in patches of snow.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
