White House:
Republicans are unpatriotic

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

How’s this for a State of the Union primer: Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s closest adviser, attributed the gridlock and struggles of the last four years to a lack of patriotism among congressional Republicans. “The president has always reached out, he’s always looked for balanced solutions,” Jarrett said today on Morning Joe. “I think part of our frustration in the first four years is oftentimes seeing Republicans put their short term political interests ahead of what’s in the best interest of the country.” National Journal’s Ron Fournier reported that the White House was “stung by the coverage of

He had a democrat house and senate, and the republicans were locked out (they actually changed the locks), and the democrats crafted the billion dollar stimulus to benefit themselves. The democrats then crafted the most horrid healthcare bill possible, none of them read it, but they rammed it down the taxpayers´ throats. Reminds me of the 2008 campaigns when Democrats talked about the 8 years of Republican this and that, when they had already controlled the House and Senate the last 2 years of GWB presidency.

Of course, Republicans didn´t refute or rebutt that claim.

As he rolls out his fiscal 2014 budget on Wednesday, a new survey finds that Americans haven’t felt this confident about President Obama’s handling of the economy since his first year in office. The Gallup poll, which sampled more than 1,000 Americans, found that 57 percent say they have a “great deal or a fair amount of confidence” in Mr. Obama to do the right thing on the economy. That’s up from just 50 percent last year and hasn’t been this high since it hit 71 percent in 2008. Trust in congressional Republicans, on the other hand, remains low.

The media is all abuzz with Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy these days: she fat? Should she really be wearing leather pants while pregnant? What is that cape-like thing she wore the other week? Is she lying about her delivery date? Is she lying about her pregnancy? Why did she wear that dress that made people compare her to an orca whale? All of these are very valid questions, but bring to light another issue: Isn’t there some one else who’s also pregnant right now? Some one who is substantially more important than Kim Kardashian?
