| These numbers, from Gallup, are really quite stunning:(Snip for graphic) The only area where Obama scores reasonably well is national defense, where most people think he has continued the policies of his predecessor, George W. Bush. Other than that, after four-plus years, Americans have pretty well decided they don’t like what Obama is trying to accomplish. Tonight the president will push hard to legalize millions of illegal immigrants, an issue on which, as Paul noted earlier today, he seems to be within sight of victory. Yet, according to Gallup, his position commands only minority support at 46-48.

Obama got re-elected because of two factors. One The repubs destroyed themselves in the primary process just like carter did with kennedy and Andersen on his back. Secondly, how do you explain why obama won every state that didn´t require a photo ID and lost every state that did? How does obama get every vote in 59 districts in philly and Mitt not one vote. That´s a statistical and mathematical impossibilty. that happened in more places too. The dems know how to circle the wagons no matter what. The Repubs are the party of Ego.

My guess is that Stalin and Mao´s policies were not that popular either. This is what happens when a country becomes caught up in personality politics-- it becomes a nation of men rather than laws. Best predictor of voting patterns is overall job approval--not approval with respect to individual policy items--if voters even know what these individual policies are! His overall approval is 52% on Gallup and 55% on Rasmussen.
Hence he would easily be re-elected this very day. Author is grasping at straws. Maybe he should look at ´unskewed polls´ and imagine it is Romney giving the SOTU.

It was stated in several threads here on Lucianne that a shift of only a few hundred thousand votes in three states would have elected Romney.
Since we know that there was massive vote fraud, as #9 mentioned, it wouldn´t surprise me if our unpopular president is also our illegitimate president.

What I cannot understand is how we can allow the fraud and criminality to go unchecked!!?? We never used to let things go that were obviously criminal. It just shows that corruption is not only considered acceptable now in this country but expected. We used to believe in justice and doing what is right. Now we are just as bad as all the other crummy countries in the world.

Opinion on policy is a semi-rational viewpoint. The presidential election has become an emotional beauty contest. They elected BO because they "like" him. Their personal attraction to him trumps any policy issues. He is unpopular only in policy.

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday.
