| On the fifth anniversary of the assassination of Imad Mughniyah, a.k.a. “The Iranian Jackal,” much new information about the hunt for the terrorist most wanted by Mossad and the FBI has emerged. It’s a story of high-tech surveillance and old-fashioned espionage, and it’s just starting to be truly told now. Imad Mughniyah was 20 years old when he made his debut on the international terrorist scene in 1983, with a series of spectacular and deadly bombings aimed at Western forces in Lebanon.

Robert Baer´s book "See No Evil" describes CIA work in the Middle East years ago. Baer made numerous mentions of the ´Jackal´ in the book.

If you ever learned what Mughniyah did to William Buckley, the kidnapped Beirut CIA chief, your only regret upon reading this account is that Mughniyah didn´t suffer more before his evil was snuffed out by the Mossad.

The Israeli Air Force on Wednesday bombed a car in Gaza City, killing Ahmed Jaabari, the head of Hamas’s armed wing — the equivalent of an army’s chief of staff — and reportedly his son as well. Two other people who were in the car were reportedly injured in the strike. The IDF confirmed the airstrike on Jaabari and said that it had launched a “widespread campaign on terror sites and operatives in the Gaza Strip, chief among them Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets.” The army referred to the campaign as “Operation Pillar of Defense.”

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.
