Counties are in dire straits. The state keeps imposing unfunded mandates. Sky-high pension and medicaid contributions are the latest ones. Except that medicaid is going to explode. I was dumbfounded to find out NY has the most lavish medicaid benefits of any state and current has 27% of its population in medicaid. Since Cuomo immediately jumped on the Death Bill wagon, medicaid is being expanded to 41% of the state population at a cost of $3.5B. Cuomo put himself on tv ads saying that his budget should be immediately approved because no state taxes are increased. What he failed to say is no state taxes will increase because he pushed the total cost to the counties. Cuomo is despicable and a liar.

Cuomo´s approval numbers make as much sense as Obama´s.Apparently none of the sandy victims,some living in tents aren´t bothered by Cuomo´s failure there or get the electric turned back on.Obama´s approval on handling Stanton island are probably 95%.

He did very well his first year. But now it´s time to get his credentials in order for the presidency. So abortion, which has been legal in New York since something like 1967 (well before Roe v. Wade)is all of a sudden an issue. So he makes it even more legal to get the looney feminists on board.

A worse political hack than his father. Cuomo is the worst kind of public official. He is a-moral. In his world there is no right or wrong. There is only what benefits him the most. Anyone who was unfortunate enough to listen to his State of the State address could immediately tell that he was pandering to the liberal base in the most transparent of ways. His speech, delivered in an annoying whinny voice was full of obvious political moves and had virtually nothing to benefit the State. Besides which, he looks like a Mafia leg breaker.

In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
