White House: GOP spreading ‘myths’
about Obama’s fiscal approach

Washington Times, by Dave Boyer

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 2/10/2013 10:19:58 PM

The White House accused congressional Republicans on Sunday of spreading “myths” about President Obama’s efforts to avoid looming budget cuts and blamed the GOP for pushing an “unbalanced” approach that favors the wealthy. “The notion that President Obama hasn’t put forward a solution to deal with these looming cuts is false,” said Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer in a blog post. He said Mr. Obama’s latest offer to House Speaker John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican, “meets the Republicans halfway on spending and on revenues, and would permanently turn off the sequester and put us on a fiscally sustainable path.”

Republicans need to send clips and quotes to the LSM until they get knee deep. Don´t let the LSM get away with their lies.

Their use of "myths" means the GOP has struck an actual nerve.

Obama hasn´t proposed a balanced budget, nor has one projected in 10 years time.

Clinton didn´t either until the GOP took control of House and Senate.

Of course the oil and natural gas boom would actually solve nearly all those revenue problems, but Democrats are against it.

California alone sits on massive Monterrey Shale that would provide revenues to fund all pensions, and enough $$ to fund alternative energy use too, but these Democrats are against it.

He proposed, Congress passed, and he signed the Sequester which would go into effect if Congress could not find spending cuts. He won´t agree to stop spending and if the Fed prints too much money the dollar will collapse. I´d much rather eliminate entire Departments, but I´ll settle for Sequester.

At some point, Malia and Sasha will realize that their father is not just propagating myths about himself, but spreading malicious lies intended to hurt millions of people. At that point they´ll realize their father is a very bad man, and that their mother is complicit in the maliciousness.

Truly, the price of being a Democrat/MSM operative is the sacrifice of one´s conscience.

Obama is nothing but a modern day carnival barker, trying to get more morons in his tent of government giveaways. As the crowd in the tent swells, the closer the country gets to bankruptcy.

Of course it´s not the morons in the tent that´s the problem,it´s rich greedy people not paying their fair share.

Couple of things going on here. For one,Obama is trying to crate the impression that if he gets the House back next year,Pelosi would be totally on board for taxing people for breathing. This is almost literally speaking as she would push some form of cap and trade.

Secondly,Obama is constantly trying to corner republicans to raise taxes because it´s one of their strong suits to attract voters.

We already know that any spending cuts will hit women, minorities and seniors the hardest.

The left thinks they have republicans on the ropes and are further delighted at the civil war going on between the Rove types and the tea party types. They´re actually willing to let Boehner and Cantor slide and instead target the tea party House members as the main source of obstruction.

Cantor said this week that kids of illegal aliens should be given special dispensation under immigration reform. He´s too stupid to realize, they´ll be old enough to vote soon and it won´t be for him.

The real secret Barry doesn´t want you to know about sequestration is that he could care less if the military gets cut, it´s the entitlement cut that he doesn´t want. If you notice, nothing is ever said anywhere about the other side of the 50% cut in entitlements. If he can convince the House to do away with sequestration, he gets to keep squandering on entitlements.

We have to borrow to pay our bills. Stop spending.

Have you ever heard of anyone careening toward bankruptcy taking a "balanced" approach by borrowing more.

Common sense tells you to cut back expenses.

It’s a big weekend for the Bush family, which is enjoying a renaissance of sorts after several years in the political wilderness. Throngs of former administration officials, members of Congress and others descended Friday on College Station, Tex., to fete former president George H.W. Oregon State University, disdaining responsibility for trashing distribution boxes that were intended for a politically conservative student newspaper, has still paid $1,000 plus $100,000 in legal fees after a former student, William Rogers, filed suit against them. The suit alleged that school officials confiscated distribution bins for The Liberty and tossed them onto a trash heap. The bins, which contained copies

When has a secretary of state been involved in so many disastrous, self-initiated negotiations? First, John Kerry convenes — against all advice and holding no cards — Geneva negotiations to resolve the Syria conflict and supposedly remove Bashar al-Assad from power. The talks collapse in acrimony and confusion. Kerry’s response? A second Geneva conference that — surprise! — breaks up in acrimony and confusion. Then, even as Russian special forces are taking over Crimea, Kerry goes chasing after Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov — first to Paris, then Rome, then London — offering a diplomatic “offramp.” Lavrov shrugs him off.

The American left is outraged that the Supreme Court has voted 5 to 4 that limits to the aggregate amount of donations to federal campaigns have been found unconstitutional. Prior to the ruling, there was a 123,200 limit ($48,600 for candidates and $74,600 in contributions to PACs) on the total amount a single donor could contribute in a two year federal campaign cycle. President Obama campaigned in Michigan with Dem Senate candidate Gary Peters, making the case for a hike in the federal minimum wage to $10.10. Unfortunately, the wrangling in the Senate today suggests the idea is going to die. Senator Susan Collins has said she’s trying to craft a bipartisan compromise on the minimum wage that could win Republican support — a compromise that would require hiking the minimum wage to an unspecified point below the $10.10 per hour that Obama and Democrats want. Today Harry Reid ruled out the idea, insisting that Dems won’t agree to anything below $10.10. In

The ruling shows two things: The Roberts Court’s destructive view on these matters wasn’t changed by the backlash to its Citizens United holding, and Congress must respond by designing new rules that can pass the court’s overly skeptical review. If lawmakers tackle the issue forthrightly, they have some workable options. The court eliminated an overall limit on how much donors could give to candidates, parties and various other committees over the course of an election cycle. The idea had been to
