In speech, Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN — Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reiterated Sunday his desire to engage in direct talks with the U.S., on one condition. “Take your guns out of the face of the Iranian nation and I myself will negotiate with you,” he said at an event attended by tens of thousands of Iranians in Tehran’s Azadi Square. Ahmadinejad delivered his eighth and final annual speech to commemorate Iran’s 1979 revolution amid a range of challenges from his domestic opponents as well as international pressures, which have resulted in tough economic sanctions over the country’s nuclear program.

It doesn´t matter what the little astronaut wants to do Khamanei holds the power.

The bit about an open election is a farce. Mousavi and Karroubi are both under house arrest. Karroubi nearly died last year. Mousavi is reportedly near death and has been denied contact with his daughters. You´re free to run for President, but the regime will kill you if you don´t fall in line.

The reason that we are still having problems with Iran is because the 0bama administration is afraid to put guns in their faces. They have been actively helping other islamic terrorists since 9/11/01 and all we do is ignore them. President Jarrett won´t allow retaliation.

A pattern that only goes back decades with Iran. We get a new president, talk of talks start all over again. Talks stall. Iran refuses talks, altogether. New Sec of State, talk of talks start all over again. Rinse, repeat.....
John Kerry is just the newest wounded mouse for the cat to play with- meanwhile, crank up a few thousand more centrifuges.

He was said to be a known prankster - and Walter George Bruhl Jr. had one final laugh planned for his family following his death. The 80-year-old, who died on Sunday, had secretly written his own obituary, which relatives found after he passed away. His grandson Sam Bruhl posted the epic essay, which is both heartfelt and hilarious to Reddit on Monday, causing a stream of comments from users who were touched by Walter´s story. WASHINGTON — President Obama this week will seek to force American businesses to pay more overtime to millions of workers, the latest move by his administration to confront corporations that have had soaring profits even as wages have stagnated. On Thursday, the president will direct the Labor Department to revamp its regulations to require overtime pay for several million additional fast-food managers, loan officers, computer technicians and others whom many businesses currently classify as “executive or professional” employees to avoid paying them overtime, according to White House officials briefed on the announcement. St. Petersburg, Florida- In the first major ballot box test of 2014, the GOP won. Republican David Jolly edged out Democrat Alex Sink to win Tuesday´s special election in Florida´s 13th Congressional District. Jolly will fill out the term of his former boss, Republican Rep. Bill Young, who died in October. Young, first elected to Congress in 1970, was the longest-serving Republican in the House. With national Republicans framing the race as a referendum on Obamacare and a massive infusion of outside ad money to try to influence the outcome, pundits have looked to the Florida race as a bellwether

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- A jury convicted former Arkansas Treasurer Martha Shoffner of federal bribery and extortion charges Tuesday, saying her acceptance of $36,000 from a bond trader who did business with the state was a felony rather than just a lapse in ethical judgment. Shoffner wept quietly at the defense table before the jurors, who deliberated for about three hours, returned to the courtroom. But the former Democratic official regained her composure and showed no reaction as U.S. District Judge J. Leon Holmes read the 14 consecutive guilty verdicts. Holmes still must rule on a motion to acquit that was

A federal court has dismissed a civil rights lawsuit filed by The Rutherford Institute on behalf of a decorated Marine veteran from Virginia. U.S District Judge Henry Hudson called Brandon Raub’s assertion that police, the FBI and the Secret Service were involved in suppressing his dissident speech “far-fetched.” In August, 2012 uniformed county police officers showed up at Brandon Raub’s front door. They introduced Raub to several unidentified agents of the Secret Service and FBI who spoke with him concerning his anti-government Facebook posts. Progress Texas, a liberal group in Texas that supports Democratic candidates, released what appears to be a standard attack ad against Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott--with one major exception. Abbott is portrayed in the ad standing up holding a piggy bank. Normally, this wouldn´t be a big deal and hardly would merit an article, but Abbott was paralyzed from the waist down in 1984 and uses a wheelchair. He can´t stand up. This is just another odd example of how liberal Texas groups are uncomfortable with Greg Abbott´s disability. There really isn´t any explaining this away, other than it´s truly

All three networks on Monday night and Tuesday morning ignored the story. Prosecutors claimed that Mayor Gray had knowledge of the illegal "shadow" campaign run by Jeffrey Thompson. It’s rare in politics that anything other than a presidential contest is viewed as a “must win” — but the special election in Florida’s 13th District falls into that category for Democrats. A loss in the competitive March 11 contest would almost certainly be regarded by dispassionate observers as a sign that President Barack Obama could constitute an albatross around the neck of his party’s nominees in November. And that could make it more difficult for Democratic candidates, campaign committees and interest groups to raise money and energize the grass roots. Fundamentally, the district, left vacant by the death of

It was back on Jan. 27, 1998, that Hillary Clinton first used the phrase “vast right-wing conspiracy” to describe the attacks on her husband. She was appearing with Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today,” the day after Bill Clinton had publicly stated: “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.”For Hillary, the Monica story was the last straw in what she firmly believed was a conservative conspiracy to get her husband. And Hillary stuck to that belief even after she learned the truth about Bill and Monica. After all, one or both of the Clintons had been accused

CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson has reached an agreement to resign from CBS News ahead of contract, bringing an end to months of hard-fought negotiations, sources familiar with her departure told POLITICO on Monday. Attkisson, who has been with CBS News for two decades, had grown frustrated with what she saw as the network´s liberal bias, an outsized influence by the network´s corporate partners and a lack of dedication to investigative reporting, several sources said. She increasingly felt like her work was no longer supported and that it was a struggle to get her reporting on air.

You have probably seen all of the ridiculous speculating about the GOP nomination in 2016. This is still speculating, but my sincere hope is you don’t think it’s ridiculous too. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is laying the foundation for his presidential bid in concrete and steel. First, forget about Jeb Bush unless you want to hand Hillary eight years in the White House. The latest Rasmussen poll shows her leading Jeb in a general election 47 percent to 33. His name is Bush and to the general public the specifics of how smart he is doesn’t matter one iota.
