Publication of hacked George
W. Bush e-mails raises
journalism ethics questions

Washington Post, by Paul Farhi

Original Article

By the old rules of journalism, George W. Bush’s private e-mails to his family might never have been published or broadcast, certainly not without his permission. Most news organizations would have thought twice about publishing personal messages that were, in essence, stolen goods. But that was then. The former president’s private communications and photos sent to family members went far and wide over the Internet on Friday after they were published by a Web site. The Smoking Gun, which specializes in unearthing material about criminal and legal matters, disclosed the Bush family’s personal correspondence in a story based

And yet these so-called ´journalists´ - who are without a doubt back-slapping and congratulating each other on ´making further Bush information public´...

For some reason totally lack the cojones to do the same in any meaningful way, shape, manner or form - regarding the myriad illegalities and other foibles of the *current* president...

So it ain´t just a question of ´ethics´ is it? Apparently the media is simply too stupid to grasp the concept of ´relevance´ in public discourse.

Go figure.

"Journalism ethics." Right. Bwa-ha-ha-h-- ERP! I pulled something! Ouch.

I´ve stated flatly that taking these messages is theft. How then is accepting them, and making use of them, not a clear demonstration of receiving stolen goods? Certainly the concept of "intellectual property is well, and long, established. So how about some aggressive prosecutions?

Something good came of this criminal activity. We are now aware that if the Former President needs an income, not only will be be great on the speaking circle, he can show his paintings in a number of galleries. The man has hidden talents as well as a sense of humor. Keep riding, cowboy. So happy your father is on the mend. Best wishes to him. God bless.

I don´t need to know what GW emailed anybody. I don´t need to know what color socks his father is wearing today.

Only time that "journalistic ethics" are questioned is if the release of information is going to affect their protected friends -- such as Democrats.

The Bob Menendez info was out before the election. Even now, RAT infested media whores are occasionally dragged, kicking and screaming into the fray.

If somebody showed up at the Washington Post´s door with Obama´s handwritten note --- or better yet, hacked e-mail: "Tell the yahoos at State and Defense to not bother me about that Bengahzi stuff. Blame the video and let me get some sleep because I gotta be in Vegas for a fundraiser and campaigning."

They´d either bury it or say they needed another oh, say, three or four years, to check out the authenticity of the note.

But if Bush´s e-mails about painting his bathroom or whatever are hacked or some other juicy -- albeit really unimportant in the scheme of things -- details about the RAT infested media whores´ political enemies... then it´s STOP THE PRESSES. THE PUBLIC NEEDS TO KNOW.

Now, let´s get back to those Beyonce pictures and whatever Honey-Boo-Boo is doing.

It´s what the low-info voters need!

Class back on rise in

LONDON — For the past three decades, many Britons had hoped the rigid class system that defined their country from Dickens to "Downton Abbey" was finally dying. Now they fear that class, their old bugbear, is back on the rise. From 1979, Britain was led for more than a decade by Margaret Thatcher, a grocer´s daughter, and then by John Major, the son of a music-hall entertainer. The current leader, David Cameron, is a descendent of King William IV whose Cabinet is stacked with men, like him, from the country´s toniest private schools and Oxford and Cambridge universities. From its inception, the strategy behind the Obama administration’s implementation of ObamaCare has been simple: to frontload the benefits and postpone the pain and costs of this massive government intrusion into the private sector for as long as possible. This deceitful approach enabled President Obama run for reelection in 2012 on the spurious promise of extending insurance coverage to the poor and those with pre-existing conditions without being held accountable for the problems with the law that would only become apparent in his second term. Over the course of the last year, as the president’s signature accomplishment debuted with a

Late this afternoon, the Obama administration decided to delay for yet another year the health-care mandate that companies provide health insurance to their employees, this time to 2016. “It’s a double whammy here,” Charles Krauthammer said on Special Report tonight. Combining the recent CBO report finding that millions of Americans will choose to work less because of Obamacare and the people who will lose their jobs involuntarily as a result of the mandates, Obamacare is looking like a huge liability come November, Krauthammer explained. “They are getting tremendous complaints from small business that they can’t do this. The 2016 Democratic presidential field is likely to run to the left of President Obama, partly because candidates will try to distance themselves from his political baggage while jockeying for an increasingly liberal base of voters, analysts predict. Prospective candidates and their surrogates insist it’s too early to tell what kind of standing Mr. Obama will have with voters and whether he will be seen as damaged goods the way President Bush was for Republicans in 2008. But discontent is brewing within the Democratic Party over what some see as Mr. Obama’s concessions to Republicans. Those Democratic voters will be

The emergence of Twitter as a social media goliath has unleashed gossip and speculation as a media force. The long term consequences are unknowable, but in the meantime, with a far left president with a dicey past, it is producing some highly amusing results. Last night, President Obama explained to Bob Costas of NBC Sports why he wasn´t attending the Sochi Olympics, but the substance of what he had to say was lost in the controversy that erupted on Twitter over whether or not he was stoned. Yahoo writer Mike Oz took the high road, as would nearly any journalist, and described the president as looking "sleepy."

Various ratings — liberal and conservative — have agreed on one thing, Cornyn´s conservative credentials are genuine. Not conservative?
