Should CNN´s Obese Employees Be Publicly Shamed Into Losing Weight?

| For the last three days, CNN has been on a partisan rampage to embarrass, humiliate, and politically damage Republican Governor Chris Christie over the issue of his weight. The entire network has been behind a push led by Jim Acosta, and the fig leaf of news -- among other things -- has been America´s obesity problem. But that´s a lie. We know this because CNN has thus far refused to touch Hillary´s lifelong struggle with her weight, which is now bordering on obesity. If CNN is legitimately worried over portly role models having a negative effect on

Comments: Of course not! They are exempt from any criticism because they are leftists. Only Republicans are subjected to their hypocritical, offensive display of superiority and self-importance.

Absolutely, CNN´s obese employees should be shamed!
Any network that carries water for this POTUS and his wife should be publicly shamed for failing to live up to this administration´s moral standards.
As for anyone else? Live and let live.

This really is the pot calling the kettle black with Candy Crowley pouring over the sides of her super-wide chair every Sunday. The woman is huge and in wide shots completely dominates her guests on the tv monitors. Something should be done about those tucked in shirts that never stay tucked in. She is as messy and fat for a woman on tv as Chris Christy is for a male governor. Pot meet kettle!

You folks are off track. The point is that Christie may run for President. That is why the health risk counts. The hosts on CNN can grow as heavy as they wish, since I don´t watch anyways. I don´t believe they fit on my TV screen any longer anyways, and I could care less who they are, what they weigh, or what they tell us to think. Plenty enough to see on the internet, where the truth lies.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama´s administration is likely to open a criminal investigation into the leaking of highly classified documents that revealed the secret surveillance of Americans´ telephone and email traffic, U.S. officials said on Friday. The law enforcement and security officials, who were not authorized to speak publicly, said the agencies that normally conduct such investigations, including the FBI and Justice Department, were expecting a probe into the leaks to a British and an American newspaper. Such investigations typically begin after an agency that believes its secrets

David Brooks: Well, it´s worrisome. I, on balance, think it´s justified. I think the president´s basically right on this and that most bipartisan leaders of Congress are right, that we live in a world of big data. We live in the world of gigantic databases where people are collecting large amounts of information. The stuff that is being done on American citizens, as the president said, is not the content of the calls. It´s the network of connections of the calls. There is a FISA court review. There´s congressional review. The targets are reasonably narrow. I worry about this being abused later on.

A clear majority of independents, and even a plurality of Democrats, believe high-ranking IRS officials were aware of the agency’s harassment of conservatives’ political organizing, according to a new Gallup poll. The poll’s results are risky for Obama, whose political approval rate has remained relatively high, despite the lousy economy, because of his relatively high personal ratings. Sixty-two percent of adults disapprove of his handling of the IRS scandal, said the Gallup poll. Only 32 percent of adults approve of his reaction to the scandal. If his approval ratings falls, he’ll have even more difficulty

After the Supreme Court’s decision labeling Obamacare’s mandate a tax, the IRS has become the crucial centerpiece of President Obama’s health care rollout. But with the IRS’ targeting of conservative non-profits, Republicans are calling into question the agency’s involvement in the application of Obamacare. On May 23, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) specifically targeted IRS involvement in Obamacare as a rationale for fighting the program: And here’s another thing we shouldn’t be doing: handing over the administration of Obamacare to these folks. I mean, think about it.

In order to deliver on the Fundamental Transformation of America, President Barack Obama must first smash to smithereens the image of America as World Superpower. That’s why he’s been spending so much of his time gutting the military. Parachuted into power by archenemies of the USA, Obama holds a special disdain for American military forces, going so far as to replace them with his own private one. The bodies of approximately 1,541 soldiers were returned home under flag-draped coffins on Obama’s watch.

The National Security Agency has at times mistakenly intercepted the private email messages and phone calls of Americans who had no link to terrorism, requiring Justice Department officials to report the errors to a secret national security court and destroy the data, according to two former U.S. intelligence officials. At least some of the phone calls and emails were pulled from among the hundreds of millions stored by telecommunications companies as part of an NSA surveillance program. James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, Thursday night publicly acknowledged what he called “a sensitive intelligence collection program”

An Afghan soldier shot dead two US soldiers and one US civilian on Saturday, the latest "insider attack" to shake efforts by the two armies to work together to defeat the Taliban insurgency. The killings in the eastern province of Paktika came on the same day that one Italian soldier died when a grenade was thrown into an armoured vehicle in Farah province, in the far west of the country. Scores of foreign soldiers have been killed in insider attacks in Afghanistan, breeding fierce mistrust and threatening to derail the training of local forces

Vice President Joe Biden is pushing aside the scandals plaguing his boss to renew his war on guns, an unusual doubling down on a key fight the administration was humiliated on just two months ago. In an email to supporters, Biden said, "Look, I´ve been in politics a long time now. And I´ve seen time and time again that real, lasting change isn´t always immediate -- but as long as you don´t give up, you can win battles that you never thought possible." A cross-party delegation consisting of two leading US senators and President Barack Obama´s most senior aide have reaffirmed a determination to close Guantánamo Bay following a visit to the camp. In a joint statement late Friday, Republican senator John McCain, Dianne Feinstein, the Democratic chair of the Senate Intelligence committee, and White House chief of staff Denis McDonough said it remained in the "national interest" to shutter the centre and move inmates to other locations. It comes amid a growing hunger strike at Guantánamo Bay now entering its fifth month. As of Saturday, 104 of

After months of remaining mostly quiet about the Senate Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform proposal, President Obama will take up the issue this week with a White House event to urge passage of the 1,000-page legislation. The question is whether that will help or hurt his cause. Timed to coincide with the beginning of Senate debate on the bill, Obama will meet with “a broad, bipartisan and diverse coalition of business leaders, labor leaders, law enforcement, religious and faith leaders, and other key stakeholders” at the White

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., visited House conservatives this week to discuss immigration policy, but his effort to garner support for the Gang of Eight’s Senate bill failed, according to Republican sources — in part, because his efforts were hampered by the wave of scandals hitting President Obama’s administration. “I think you’re going to see more House members get more vocal about trying to stop the Senate bill,” one GOP aide familiar with the Wednesday visit to the Republican Study Committee meeting said in an interview with The Washington Examiner. “I think that was net effect.”

Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke to Neil Cavuto today live from Utah where he is hosting a bipartisan summit. The former Massachusetts governor told Cavuto that his goal in the summit was to pull together people from both sides of the aisle to discuss their highest priorities. According to Romney, Washington isn’t addressing the most important issues to either Democrats or Republicans. In the interview, Romney addressed the scandals facing Washington, saying he refused to “jump on the bandwagon of attacking the president and everything that’s going on in Washington.”

That didn’t take long. The official who leaked top-secret information about the National Security Agency’s surveillance programs to fight terrorism has now come forward in the pages of the Guardian to revel in his role “as one of America’s most consequential whistleblowers, alongside Daniel Ellsberg and Bradley Manning.” Edward Snowden is described as a 29-year-old high school dropout who worked (ironically) on computer security for the CIA before becoming a highly paid contractor at Booz Allen, making a reported $200,000 a year working for the National Security Agency in Hawaii. For several months, the Benghazi scandal lay dormant, apparently forgiven and forgotten. Then, inexplicably, it reared its ugly head when Congressmen Ron Johnson and Jason Chaffetz smelled Obama´s blood in the water. After feigning affliction with the flu, and then ostensibly tumbling down a carpeted stairwell resulting in an unconfirmed concussion, then-Secretary of State Clinton was finally forced to testify before Congress. Clinton´s desperate attempt to put the Benghazi scandal to rest with her now-infamous impassioned declaration -- "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

One of the more effective arguments used by those arguing for same-sex marriage and sexual orientation anti-discrimination laws is that homosexuals have no choice in the matter -- that sexual orientation is something that you are born with, and you can´t change it. The claim is that this is a natural part of human variability, no different from skin color or hair color or how tall you are. (snip) There is pretty persuasive evidence that what determines sexual orientation, at least for some homosexuals, is environmental.

On CNN’s State of the Union this morning, Rep.
