| In today’s hearing on Benghazi at the Senate Armed Forces Committee, New Hampshire Republican Kelly Ayotte asked about the president’s personal involvement, finding out that the president only had one conversation with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta or General Martin Dempsey on 9/11, the day of the Benghazi attack. In that conversation, according to Panetta, President Obama told them to “do whatever you need to do to be able to protect our people”. The president didn’t, according to Panetta, ask for any specifics on what kind of

So, what specifically does the president mean by "our people"?
Seems like he didn´t want to be bothered. Had better things to focus on.
You know, "you little people in my cabinet, do what you need to do".

of course not
that would have led to responsibility for what happened

Let´s start connecting the dots. The president said he was on top of the matter, and joe biden said the white house never received a request for military support. Hillary said she was fully engaged, but Panetta and Dempsey said they never talked to her, and she never called them. Hillary said she talked with the president around 9 PM on the night of the attack. Panetta and Dempsey met with the president at 5 PM. What is becoming clear is that no one at State was in charge. Hillary was curiously unengaged as her own ambassador was killed. The president didn´t know nuffin, and old joe biden was wandering the hallways. Panetta and Dempsey again pointed out that the marine guards at any embassy are not actually guarding - their only job is to destroy classified documents. And the Libyan guards at the consulate, those that obese Charlene Lamb wanted to expand on, abandoned the consulate, in what appears to be collusion with the filthy islamofascist terrorist pigs. This all comes out as an astonishing mess. Hillary was an inept SofS, no one wanted to take the wheeel. Elections have consequences. And if the voters are stupid enough to vote in hillary in 2016, our country is doomed.

This is explosive stuff! The President and Secretary of State were not engaged in the operation that killed four Americans?!! This is an example of "Who´s on First...."
For obama and Clinton to either be unavailable, or refuse to be inconvenienced is shocking. What an astonishing lack of communication and accountability. Heads should roll, starting at the top.

The president says he gave orders. No one received any presidential orders. The president had no conversations with the SecDef or Clinton. Clinton was fully “engaged” but never talked to the SecDef or CIC. There is no information available on the degree of sobriety of either of those individuals at the time.

The facts just keep coming out of Ohio. It is hard to comprehend what they went through, those young women. What they felt while trapped by a monster through those lost years of their early adulthood is almost impossible to fathom. How did they cope? How did they get through each day? A close friend of mine was sexually abused as a teenaged girl. It was a man she knew. It lasted for years. She never told anyone — not her mom, not her friends. She didn’t tell because, like so many women who are abused, she blamed herself.

Journalists gasp and growl whenever prosecutors issue lawful subpoenas ordering them to divulge their confidential sources or to turn over potential evidence, such as notes, video outtakes or other records. It’s an attack on the First Amendment, It’s an attack on the First Amendment, It’s an attack on the First Amendment, journalists and their lawyers chant. Those chants were heard this week, as it was revealed that Department of Justice prosecutors had seized two months’ worth of records from 20 office, home and cell phone lines used by Associated Press journalists in their investigation into the Yemen underwear-bomber leaks.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Let’s see if we can unravel one of the great mysteries of the Obama Administration. The latest invocations of the Incompetence Defense from President Obama, Eric Holder, and now the departing Acting IRS Commissioner (hilariously described by the Associated Press as “ousted,” even though he’s leaving exactly when he was originally scheduled to depart, in June) hold that all of these super-genius leaders found out about various outrages by watching the news, along with the rest of us. They have no idea what their subordinates do every day, until it blows up into a huge scandal on the evening news, and that’s why they should be left in charge of everything.

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, speaking to NPR on Friday, warned his party about overreaching in their approach to the trio of controversies President Obama is facing. While Republicans need to be relentless in their response, Gingrich urged a focus on facts. “I think we overreached in ’98,” Gingrich recalled, quipping, “How’s that for a quote you can use?” Which is not to say Republicans should not be persistent. “They need to be calm and factual,”

There is no provision in the Marine Corps uniform regulation guidelines that allows a male Marine to carry an umbrella. A year ago, The Associated Press discovered a foiled al-Qaida plot. Worried about the safety of an informant in the case, the CIA asked the AP to delay publishing the story until their spy could be secured. The AP agreed. Five days later, the CIA told the AP that their national security concerns were “no longer an issue.” As a seasoned AP team of reporters and editors made final edits to their scoop, the CIA backtracked and asked the AP to delay the story one more day. New national security concerns? Nope. The only concern was about public relations.

WASHINGTON -- The nation´s soon-to-be former top tax official will face questions Friday about why he failed to inform Congress about the Internal Revenue Service´s treatment of Tea Party groups last year -- even under direct questioning. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., stopped short of saying that Steven Miller lied to Congress, "but it seems pretty clear that he was aware of this ongoing targeting. And he didn´t tell Congress."

The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation. Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today. Her successor, Joseph Grant, is taking the fall for misdeeds at the scandal-plagued unit between 2010 and 2012.

One of the lead federal prosecutors behind the Justice Department’s sweeping seizure of the Associated Press’s phone records is deputy chief of the criminal division Jonathan Malis—a hard-charging 15-year veteran of the U.S. Attorney’s Office who is known among colleagues for a single-minded, even zealous, pursuit of his criminal targets. And there’s perhaps no better illustration of his aggressive style than the fact that he once had a caustic, highly personal exchange with Eric Holder, who at the time was a defense lawyer in private practice but is now the attorney general—that is, Malis’s boss.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. And with good reason. We were misled; no, lied to.

A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.

There was a running joke in the fall of 2008 that John McCain should simply re-air Hillary Clinton’s “3 a.m. phone call” ad, which highlighted Barack Obama’s lack of experience and meager knowledge of world affairs, and just tack on “I’m John McCain, and I approve this message” at the end of the ad. The point was that thanks to the bitter primary battle between the Clintons and Obama, Democrats had already developed the most effective lines of attack against Obama, and Republicans needed only to nod their heads in agreement. Something similar is taking place

Whenever Andrew Breitbart saw that somebody was being unfairly maligned by the institutional Left, he became that person´s stalwart defender. Sarah Palin, perhaps more than any other person in recent history, endured the full weight of what Breitbart called the "Democrat-media complex," and so Sarah Palin had no more fierce a defender than Andrew Breitbart. He never explicitly endorsed her for President--Breitbart, as a rule, didn´t endorse candidates. He wasn´t a policy wonk, nor did he enjoy punditry--Breitbart´s sights were consistently set on the media. He understood how the media can shape, influence, or
