Joe Biden, Obama's "Mr Fix-it,"

Washington-U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, already deeply immersed in high-profile domestic policy, is finding that his clout extends to foreign affairs as well, as he plays a top surrogate role for President Barack Obama in the early days of their second term. Biden is now in many ways viewed as Obama´s "Mr. Fix-it," who struck a crucial budget deal in January and who is able to navigate his way comfortably through Washington´s complex power structure with a back-slapping joviality that Democrats find endearing despite the occasional verbal misstep. The 70-year-old former senator has often been viewed as gaffe-prone,

The federal government has responded with near adequate conviction, the pressure by Western countries to impose the perverted culture of legalising homosexual lifestyles in Nigeria. The two arms of the National Assembly have taken uncompromising stands, making a law prescribing a fourteen-year jail term for people caught, tried and sentenced for practising homosexual acts in Nigeria. Our President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, has also made it clear that he would align with the feelings of the Nigerian people and its supreme legislature in ensuring that the law is implemented. The case is the last of the sex-related allegations faced by Mr Strauss-Kahn. A series of lurid claims have been made about the high profile French figure since he was arrested in New York in May 2011 after a hotel maid

The engagement with Iran, the "reset" of relations with Russia, the intermediation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the protestations against cyber-attacks coming from China against U.S. firms, the pressures on North Korea and the "red line" warnings to the Syrian regime over chemical weapons, have all failed to advance peace or democracy in the world or to strengthen the American hand in international relations.
