Chuck Hagel´s Desire To Get Rid
Of All Nukes Is Dangerous

Investor´s Business Daily, by Phyllis Schlafly

Original Article

Posted By:earlybird, 2/6/2013 11:42:39 AM

Americans who are concerned about traditional freedoms and the Second Amendment have no difficulty understanding the message of the popular bumper strip: "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." It should be just as easy to grasp the corollary: If nukes are outlawed, only terrorist countries will have nukes. But somehow, Barack Obama and Chuck Hagel don´t get it. In a 2007 campaign speech, Obama promised: "Here´s what I´ll say as president: America seeks a world in which there are no nuclear weapons."

Comments:
And Hagel is one of six directors of "Global Zero U.S. Nuclear Policy Commission", a group that Schlafly describes as "dangerous".

That Obama (apparently) thinks it is possible to attain a world without nuclear weapons is even more frightening than his neo-Marxist politics. Even a child knows better than that. I find it hard to believe he truly thinks this.

Ol´Chuckie is only a mouthpiece for The Won. This is exactly what Zippy wants; to put America on equal footing with Third World Countries. He wants to disarm America and see America bullied because he feels America has been a bully.

It´s only "F A I R" that America gets put in its place.

If Russia has them, North Korea has them, China has them, Pakistan has them, India has them, Israel has them, and now Iran claims to have them, why should the USA give up its nukes?

Surely, none of those other countries will disarm.

As Thomas Jefferson said, he that beats his guns into plowshares will plow for someone else.

Facing international pressure, the U.S. government said Friday it will give up control over important technical aspects of the Internet. The Commerce Department will no longer oversee the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers, a nonprofit group that manages the Internet´s address system. Larry Strickling, the assistant secretary of Commerce for communications and information, said the "global Internet community" will have the final say over the database of names and addresses that allows computers around the world to communicate with each other. The Internet was invented in the United States, and the country has long maintained a central role. But as the

Moscow (AFP) - A United States surveillance drone has been intercepted above the Ukranian region of Crimea, a Russian state arms and technology group said Friday. "The drone was flying at about 4,000 metres (12,000 feet) and was virtually invisible from the ground. It was possible to break the link with US operators with complex radio-electronic" technology, said Rostec in a statement. The drone fell "almost intact into the hands of self-defence forces" added Rostec, which said it had manufactured the equipment used to down the aircraft, but did not specify who was operating it. If the U.S. moves to sanction Putin and his pals next week, Moscow will definitely strike back. Inside the Obama administration, officials are gearing up for an economic Cold War. As Russian tanks amass on the Ukrainian border and John Kerry travels for a last-ditch meeting with his Russian counterpart, signs are increasing that Washington and Moscow are preparing for a series of punitive and retaliatory measures following a planned referendum in Crimea on Sunday. President Obama and his team have repeatedly and loudly warned Vladimir Putin that unless Russia deescalates the current crisis, the U.S. in conjunction with its European partners

Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday endorsed a proposal that would result in shorter prison sentences for many nonviolent drug traffickers, saying the change would rein in runaway federal prison costs and create a fairer criminal justice system. Holder´s backing for a U.S. Sentencing Commission proposal to lower the guideline penalties is part of a broader Justice Department effort to lessen punishment for nonviolent drug dealers. He has been pressing to ease long mandatory sentences and has called for greater discretion for judges in sentencing. "This overreliance on incarceration is not just financially unsustainable, it comes with human and moral costs that

The College Board´s March 5 announcement that the SAT college-admissions exam will undergo a significant overhaul in 2016 has generated no shortage of commentary, some of it praising the changes as a "democratization" of the test. The College Board says it is expanding its outreach to low-income students and shifting from testing abstract-reasoning skills to evidence-based reading, writing and mathematical skills acquired in high school. Ultimately, the exam will look a lot more like the ACT, which has been taking away the SAT´s market share in recent years. The goal, according to College Board President and CEO David Coleman, is to

Fertility is the missing chapter in sex education. Sobering facts about women’s declining fertility after their 20s are being withheld from ambitious young women, who are propelled along a career track devised for men. The refusal by public schools’ sex-education programs to acknowledge gender differences is betraying both boys and girls. The genders should be separated for sex counseling. It is absurd to avoid the harsh reality that boys have less to lose from casual serial sex than do girls, who risk pregnancy and whose future fertility can be compromised by disease. Boys need lessons in basic ethics and moral reasoning

US officials believe that two communications systems aboard Malaysian Airlines flight 370 were shut down separately, 14 minutes apart - which indicates the plane did not come down because of a sudden catastrophic failure. The data reporting system was shut down at 1.07 am and the transponder was turned off at 1.21 am just after the the pilot signed off to Malaysian air traffic controllers with ´All right, good night,´ and before the Boeing 777 apparently changed course and turned west. Last week, the U.S. Tenth Circuit decided a case that should reverberate on Capitol Hill. In Kerr v. The three-judge panel — consisting of Carter and Clinton appointees — ruled in favor of the legislators’ standing. This decision should embolden members of Congress who correctly believe that President Obama has encroached upon Congress’ constitutional authority. Indeed, Congress should do no less in defending its authority than the five Colorado state legislators.
